A friend needs a social media manager. You should be very handy and creative. Being in onitsha is one of the criteria o! If you're interested, drop your contact. If you're not in Onitsha, don't bother oo! They won't pick you. Just so you know. |
You can learn javascript on the world wide web. Make una stop to ask nenemu questions abeg!!! |
Tensazangetsu20, Qtguru, and airsaylongcome. |
Op, you're just seeking attention. What will you do with the inputs you get from here knowing most will be based on cognitive biases. Una go just wan post sha... ![]() Anyways, they all do the same job differently, choose anyone that gets the Job done. |
Evasoftware:You really had to justify your pricing with words of mouth rather than app functionality. ![]() It's only 99cent with your shitty UI. How many downloads would you really have gathered if it was a free software sef? |
Now there are signatures to tax payers monies... FACILITATED IS THE KEYWORD. I wish we had better sha. ![]() |
I just came here to say postgres is bae!!! Anything I do these days is with postgres and get why. Document databases are cool, but still give me postgres. |
People are begging to disagree... these are facts... quite unfortunate una just dey find out. This isn't 2023 data ooo! These are data curated over a period of time... Literacy isn't based on a short term survey... Imo state has always been. We have our differences and shortcomings... but trust me, plenty good things dey that state. The general idea of FUTO students still remains, you are book smart. Ā yín à, Anya.... e don tey wey yansh dey for back ooo! |
My heading is very intentional to bring you in... Now you're here... won't you agree with me about native apps and the future we are headed towards... There's this shift happening in programming and how every language wants to support or run in major devices. We all know how you can wake up tomorrow to build a macOs version of your app with flutter... why? Because flutter supported it. And then, Apple Silicon happened, which is the new generation of macs. Now Macs run iOS apps. Are we still native? Are we still building towards native or moving closely to hybrid systems. Now at the time I thought this was just an Apple thing. They can do it because they make their own hardware. But then I realized that this isn’t just an Apple thing. All around us software is changing. And native apps are are doing Micheal Jacksons moonwalk. ![]() Just sharing a thought about an article I read on Medium. What do you think about these changes? |
A word of advice. Start building out projects, stop sexualizing programming challenges. The real challenge is in system design. Make your product no work first. You go know what's up. Pussy this, dick that, toto this, breast that. Come on! ![]() |
Make I add my own. ![]() If you don't have the knowledge, enough to use a tool, it'll always seem like a waste of time. OpenAI, Bard, and the very large language models, even xGrok... all of them out there can make your life easier if you know what you're doing. I recently switched to cursor IDE from VSCode and it has been something I kept wondering about. What is the future of AI and programming going to look like? Well, it's simple. Just know what you're doing, and you won't have to complain. Try cursor then come here and thank me personally o! ![]() Modified: tensazangetsu20, Paystack, airsaylongcome, and qtguru all of una scarce for here small. Wetin una dey cook? Abeg make una make am scent reach here ooo. Tensa, congrats bro. You don finally run am. Talk and do! ![]() |
DDayve:Congratulations bro. 🎊 Happy to see you have a good result from filtering what we all say here. Keep up the good work. |
olakraft:Dude, Bleep up. You dey yarn opata.. no be pure water nau... haba!!! Use your Google, check the most educated state in Nigeria 🇳🇬 Education exposes you to alot more than most would actually understand There's just something about these people and it has always been the issue they have with the rest of the world. They are different! When they say there is *love in diversity* it goes a long way than mere words. Check the meaning of that too. Remember the only slave ship that was sank by the slaves... who were the slaves again? Are these facts? Yes! Sorry ooo, who do you think actually practises ONE Nigeria more? Ghana 🇬🇭 people would say... Charlie, travel den see! Nobody get monopoly of madness, na just a way of life. You choose your path, if I were you, I'd learn to love a little more. The igbos aren't your problem. Modified: I just rememeber something, remember that trending video? Á NYI Á, ÁNYÁ! ![]() E don tey! |
Coneybtc001:I ask you question... you dey correct me without even making an effort to relate what the issue is. You now knkw why people would always ignore you guys. You want help, and you dey correct me. It's alright. |
Emeskhalifa:E go throw error ![]() |
Fully remote job. ![]() Just imagine say una no dey too get light for una area, say na Gen you wan dey use once once, also remember you'd be using your own system, so if e crash you're on your own and company no wan hear say you no finish your weekly task... make una dey play well well ooo... even country wey get light no go pay their intern this low. |
So I just say make I come post something here based on a conversation I had with a guy here on NL regarding Jobs in Nigeria and Nigerian employers. So, there was this job alert on X for a mid-level React Native Developer. I swear my mind tell me say na one of those jobs wey plenty headache dey follow cos the person asked to join a whatsapp group. Well, I still say make I apply as country hard small like this ![]() To my surprise, over 100 people joined same group, and I was like wow, devs dey 9ja ooo. I became even more suspicious when i asked a question based on job description and the developments direction since it's RN... see ehn, RN has become complex, yet very simple but you need to know what development direction you're to follow. 1. The bare RN development 2. The Expo Managed Workflow, which is further distinguished by the SDK you're using... because of the new App Router in Expo SDK 49 and new releases. So, I noticed a few guys also asked intelligent questions based on the job, they still didn't answer rather, posted a Google form link for application. Finally, application form with job description. Omo, Nigerian employers really need to do better. You're telling people they will be earning 100k up to 300k in Naira... and have a work input of 40hrs per week. Hahaha!!!! Well, guess what, I got kicked out of the group when I asked why they'd want to pay a React Native Developer between $100 - $300 per month on a 40hr weekly input. Na ment? ![]() I know say hunger dey but some 9ja employer wicked abeg. Tomorrow they'd say they are doing you favour... someone will take the job and I wish em the best of luck when RN starts with im wahala! RN is simple BUT omo, if e start with you, you'd hope you don't smash your computer on the ground. See screenshots 🤣🤣😂😂

Meerahbel:Apologies... my lady. I didn't pay attention to the name. But these days sha, babes sef don dey answer bro. and guys, sis! No mind me jare... ![]() |
Meerahbel:I had solar. You no get the gist? Them say, based on your geographical location, dem no fit risk am. If you're lucky with one that overlook those, then kudos... that's an experience I'm sharing bro. |
Yes! Especially if you're in Nigeria. They'd tell you that can't work with you for these 3 reasons. Una no get light, Una no get better Internet And the timezone/time difference go turn problem. Atleast I've had these issues. Dem know say you go fit do the Job, but you dey 9ja! kai, this country. |
stankelz:Having trouble... what trouble exactly. Be descriptive and post your log if possible. |
I am a React Native Dev. Post your questions and very descriptive. If you have an error, post your log. Op, are you using bare react native setup or expo managed workflow? |
RUN OOO! These people are on upwork too... inshort everywhere... |
tosinhtml:I understand you're trying to make your point and I stand with you. But abeg no name calling or insults... we can all share our opinions without insulting ourselves... he has his right to his own view... just leave am. Shebi na people vote Tinubu ![]() |
BlackhatMentor:No vex about the name calling bro. Chest am... na social media. |
BlackhatMentor:Bro, haba! That's why we have the term "Contractors" "Indie Hackers" While I agree with you on the other fact that the guy said he's doing them a favour. I still do not agree with you that most employers are as you described them. |
BlackhatMentor:To start with, I personally don't think I've ever begged anyone for a 9 - 5 job ooo! All my life, I've actually not worked a 9 - 5 job. So, basically this isn't for me. But I am talking about how most Nigerian employers behave. Typically, same for most. Una dey fine who go build AWS for una but pay them stipend for it and sometimes even owe them. I am talking from the experience I've had with the so-called CEOs because me I no sabi lick anybody azz because of work. Guy na WORK ooo... Stop calling Google or any of the big 5s (FAANG) Even them sef get their own for body. Why do you think they face terrible backlash when an employee leaks a data. My brother, are you an employer? All I am asking is for you guys to do better. We understand it's a Job but it doesn't mean you should treat your staffs like slaves and make them feel like you're doing them a FAVOUR. You definitely made profit while these workers are working for you. So to maximise profit, you tend to push them to the extreme and slave them to your bids, whilst still maximising profit. And this is especially in Nigeria. Talking about doing people favours... well, I understand you. The unethical character of bringing family to a position they dont deserve is definitely a favour but paying someone to do what they know how to do isn't a favour... it's an exchange of value. Make we rest for this matter. No one is doing anybody any favour. Na Nigeria spoil con make people no know anything again... because of hunger. Make una no worry. I dey always talk am. If Nigeria works today, Big men no go reach 50 for 9ja, cos thing will be different. No more FAVOURS. It's all gonna be by merit. Talking about the big companies... do knkw how much they pay for vacation for their staffs? Only a few 9ja company does that... only a few. |
BlackhatMentor:In a sane clime, it's called an exchange of value NOT doing favour like you term it. That's why our system is still trash... that's why an employee would hardly sue an employer because he/she is doing you a favour... some employers even go as far as sexually harassing employee and I am very sure most of you think you're doing them a favour also. Make una continue oo... miracle workers favour doers. |
BlackhatMentor:Na your kind dey pay dev 140k per month...una need person wey go tear una better slap. Rubbish. If CTO fit dey fear to employ person because of yansh, then anything can happen. Just seeing you as a potential threat to his free knacks, you won't get the Job. Shebi na 9ja.... no worry... you'll learn. |
Slimdan360:I will avoid your posts and responses until I am certain you know what you're saying. |
Jenifa123:You would have alot to say? How? And what exactly? Talking about little attention to details. Since you already know this, why does it still sit that way. It's not about coding for 5years. Okay, so this is even built out with a theme/template I presume. Hmmm... learning is a process but you want to skip it. And just launch a product abi. I even felt you started the whole project from scratch. I was almost feeling bad for being a bit too honest. Enjoy your fame babygirl. Na truth me just clear you ooo! AI can spin up a better design than this with the right prompts. Times are changing. |
