While there are many types of calculators, one of the most common ones is a percentage calculator which calculates percentage increase / decrease, percentage of, what percentage is, etc. For this, the best one for android playstore IMO is this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Microtechsoft.percentage It is a paid app, but only 99 cents which i think is worth it since there are no ads to distract
You really had to justify your pricing with words of mouth rather than app functionality. undecided

It's only 99cent with your shitty UI.

My heading is very intentional to bring you in...

Now you're here... won't you agree with me about native apps and the future we are headed towards...
There's this shift happening in programming and how every language wants to support or run in major devices.

We all know how you can wake up tomorrow to build a macOs version of your app with flutter... why? Because flutter supported it.

And then, Apple Silicon happened, which is the new generation of macs. Now Macs run iOS apps.

Are we still native? Are we still building towards native or moving closely to hybrid systems.

Now at the time I thought this was just an Apple thing. They can do it because they make their own hardware. But then I realized that this isn’t just an Apple thing. All around us software is changing. And native apps are are doing Micheal Jacksons moonwalk. angry

Just sharing a thought about an article I read on Medium.

What do you think about these changes?

niel63 and others who gave a constructive criticism when I posted my portfolio project here, I want to specially thank you.

After several failures and trials, I finally got a tech job as a front-end web developer.

I have been on my graduate job for 8yrs now but my first tech job which is remote pays me more. Funny enough, I still do both. My onsite job is presently not stressful, so I write code while at work using company power.

My advice to newbies, the road is not rosy but there is definitely gonna be light at the end of the road if you persist.
Congratulations bro. 🎊

Happy to see you have a good result from filtering what we all say here.
Keep up the good work.

ProgrammingNigerian Job Employers by niel63(op): 12:59pm On Oct 22, 2023
So I just say make I come post something here based on a conversation I had with a guy here on NL regarding Jobs in Nigeria and Nigerian employers.

So, there was this job alert on X for a mid-level React Native Developer. I swear my mind tell me say na one of those jobs wey plenty headache dey follow cos the person asked to join a whatsapp group. Well, I still say make I apply as country hard small like this grin

To my surprise, over 100 people joined same group, and I was like wow, devs dey 9ja ooo.

I became even more suspicious when i asked a question based on job description and the developments direction since it's RN... see ehn, RN has become complex, yet very simple but you need to know what development direction you're to follow.
1. The bare RN development
2. The Expo Managed Workflow, which is further distinguished by the SDK you're using... because of the new App Router in Expo SDK 49 and new releases.

So, I noticed a few guys also asked intelligent questions based on the job, they still didn't answer rather, posted a Google form link for application.
Finally, application form with job description.

Omo, Nigerian employers really need to do better.
You're telling people they will be earning 100k up to 300k in Naira... and have a work input of 40hrs per week.
Hahaha!!!!

Well, guess what, I got kicked out of the group when I asked why they'd want to pay a React Native Developer between $100 - $300 per month on a 40hr weekly input.

Na ment? grin grin
I know say hunger dey but some 9ja employer wicked abeg. Tomorrow they'd say they are doing you favour... someone will take the job and I wish em the best of luck when RN starts with im wahala! RN is simple BUT omo, if e start with you, you'd hope you don't smash your computer on the ground.

See screenshots grin🤣🤣😂😂

Seems we're talking or arguing about different things.

One person here said he's doing his employer a favor by giving them his time.

I said No!

It's the other way around...The employers are the one doing you a favor by helping you maximize your skill, potential, paying you and helping you aquire experience which will help you in other aspects of life or your career.

Yes the employers take more of the gains and profits.

But if the business was to collapse they'd be the one to take all the losses too not the employees.

9-5fers are ok with this setup.

Those who aren't Ok with this setup and think they're slaving away are usually the ones who becomes the Employers anyway grin
Bro, haba! grin

That's why we have the term "Contractors" "Indie Hackers"

While I agree with you on the other fact that the guy said he's doing them a favour. I still do not agree with you that most employers are as you described them.

It is never the other way around.

Check companies like Google, Amazon, Netflix

People from Havard, or any Ivy league university will literally kill to work in those companies or even get an internship.

What are u even saying.

You can say your employers should treat you with respect because irrespective of the job positions we're all still human.

Saying you're doing them a favor is big Rubbish.

You're the one who begged them for the Job,

You're the one who went for all the interviews

You're the one who calls your employers Sir/Ma during work why they address you by your name

Every on earth employers and above and superior to employees

That's how it is, that's how it will always be
To start with, I personally don't think I've ever begged anyone for a 9 - 5 job ooo! All my life, I've actually not worked a 9 - 5 job. So, basically this isn't for me.

But I am talking about how most Nigerian employers behave. Typically, same for most.
Una dey fine who go build AWS for una but pay them stipend for it and sometimes even owe them.
I am talking from the experience I've had with the so-called CEOs because me I no sabi lick anybody azz because of work. Guy na WORK ooo...

Stop calling Google or any of the big 5s (FAANG)
Even them sef get their own for body.
Why do you think they face terrible backlash when an employee leaks a data.

My brother, are you an employer? All I am asking is for you guys to do better.
We understand it's a Job but it doesn't mean you should treat your staffs like slaves and make them feel like you're doing them a FAVOUR.
You definitely made profit while these workers are working for you. So to maximise profit, you tend to push them to the extreme and slave them to your bids, whilst still maximising profit. And this is especially in Nigeria.
Talking about doing people favours... well, I understand you. The unethical character of bringing family to a position they dont deserve is definitely a favour but paying someone to do what they know how to do isn't a favour... it's an exchange of value.

Make we rest for this matter.
No one is doing anybody any favour. Na Nigeria spoil con make people no know anything again... because of hunger.
Make una no worry. I dey always talk am. If Nigeria works today, Big men no go reach 50 for 9ja, cos thing will be different. No more FAVOURS.
It's all gonna be by merit.

Talking about the big companies... do knkw how much they pay for vacation for their staffs? Only a few 9ja company does that... only a few.

Like it or not, your employer is doing you a favor by employing you that's why you respect them on the Job.

It's never the other way around.

If you feel giving people your time for money you're doing them a favor then start your own business
In a sane clime, it's called an exchange of value NOT doing favour like you term it.
That's why our system is still trash... that's why an employee would hardly sue an employer because he/she is doing you a favour... some employers even go as far as sexually harassing employee and I am very sure most of you think you're doing them a favour also. Make una continue oo... miracle workers cheesy favour doers.

Talking about little attention to details. Since you already know this, why does it still sit that way.
