‘Being cheated on is an awful feeling, but how you handle it can have a big part in your recovery process. Whether you try to rebuild the relationship or you decide to end things.

Here are some ways you can deal with the SITUATION;

1 Decide if you want to re-establish trust.

You may also need to ask yourself these questions • Is your partner truly sorry?

• Has this sort of behavior happened before, or has he or she promised to not do it, and it has continued or gotten worse?

• Is your partner willing to take steps to mend the relationship such as counseling.

• Do you truly feel you want to trust this person again? There is no right or wrong answer for this. This is entirely up to the person who has been cheated on.

It’s also important to Understand the nature of your partner’s Cheat!ng.

People cheat for many different reasons and it is not always about sex. Sometimes people cheat because they are seeking an emotional connection

Request that your partner cut off all communication with the third party.

If your partner is unwilling to cut off contact with the third party, it may be a sign that they are unwilling to stop Cheat!ng. In this case, you may not be able to repair the relationship.

Forgive on your own terms. Your partner may be extremely apologetic and desperate for you to say that you forgive them, right then and there. But true forgiveness and healing will likely take time.

Cameroon President Paul Biya appears set to extend his 36-year rule in an election that’s being overshadowed by a bloody separatist insurgency in the central African nation’s two Anglophone regions.

Biya, 85, faces seven candidates in Sunday’s vote that’s likely to see a low turnout in the English-speaking Northwest and Southwest regions. At least 400 civilians have died amid a clampdown by the security forces, according to the Brussels-based International Crisis Group, while insurgents have posted videos of torture and be-headings of military and police officers on social media.



Apart from a timid rally by the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement that took place under tight security, candidates have largely stayed away from the Anglophone regions. Campaigning ended Saturday.

“The streets here are only occupied by the military who continue to shoot at random to preempt any demonstrations,” said Sylvester Asong, who lives in the city of Kumba in the Southwest.

Oil-dependent Cameroon is increasingly a key regional and agricultural hub, with roads and ports that are vital for landlocked neighbors including Chad and Central African Republic. It’s also a major cocoa and palm-oil producer.

Cameroon’s opposition has never been able to effectively unite and unseat Biya, Africa’s second-longest serving head of state after Teodoro Obiang Nguema in neighboring Equatorial Guinea.



Since Biya assumed the presidency in 1982 after holding the post of prime minister for seven years, his closest challenge came in the country’s first democratic elections a decade later when the Anglophone politician John Fru Ndi won more than a third of the vote.

Akere Muna, whose late father Solomon was Cameroon’s first Anglophone prime minister, withdrew from the race on Friday and pledged his support to Maurice Kamto of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement.

Biya’s campaign for a new seven-year term was mainly conducted on Twitter. He appealed to young voters by promising to “modernize the country” and spend more money on secondary education.

Opposition candidates allege that there’s rampant bias in the electoral commission, which is mainly staffed with ruling party representatives, and the Constitutional Court, whose members Biya appointed.

“The only way we can scale down fraud is to make sure we have representatives in all polling stations,” said Joshua Osih, who leads the main opposition Social Democratic Front.

Peaceful Protests
The separatist conflict and attacks by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in the Far North region have driven thousands of Cameroonians to flee to neighboring Nigeria.

The only country in Africa with both English and French as official languages, Cameroon was split after World War I into a French-run zone and a smaller British-controlled area. They were unified in 1961, but the English-speaking minority, about a fifth of the population, has complained of marginalization for decades.

Unrest that began in late 2016 with peaceful protests by teachers and lawyers against the dominance of the French language in the English-speaking regions degenerated into violence. Residents are trapped between the army and gangs that target those who oppose separatism.

“In a more peaceful climate, the election could have offered Cameroon the political renewal it needs,” International Crisis Group said in a report Wednesday. “As things stand, it risks further polarizing society.”

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday blasted elites who he said were silent and allowed the mismanagement of Nigeria.

He said this during a meeting with the Nigerian community in the United States of America on the margins of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The President who hailed ‘ordinary Nigerians’ who stood by him blamed the elite that allowed Nigeria to be mismanaged for 16 years of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration without as much as raising a voice in consternation.

“They didn’t say a word.

“Under the PTF (Petroleum Trust Fund, of which he was Chairman), we did roads from Lagos to Abuja, to Onitsha, to Port Harcourt. Since then, the roads were not done, between 1999 and 2015, yet the elite did not say a word,” Buhari noted in a statement signed on Friday by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

The President also took a swipe at those who referred to him as ‘Baba Go Slow.’

He further blamed elites who he said had remained silent since 1983 when corrupt politicians that were jailed by his administration were later set free after he was put in detention.

“I was called Baba Go Slow. Those who were going fast, where did they get to?

“In 1983, military officers gathered and made me Head of State. I packed the politicians into jail, told them they were guilty until they could prove their innocence.

“We seized what they had looted, but after I myself was put in detention, the politicians were given back what they had looted. How many elites complained about that?

“Three times I contested elections; three times I went to court after the elections were rigged against me. No justice, but I said ‘God dey.’

President Buhari then hailed people he described as ‘ordinary Nigerians’ who voted him into power and stood by him.

“It was mainly the ordinary people that stood by me. That is why I am always conscious of them. They are my constituency.

“Even pregnant women on the queue would fall into labour, go to have their babies, and still come back to vote for me. I will keep doing my best for the country.”

Buhari also promised that if he wins the 2019 election, and he spent another four years in office, “I will leave some difference in that office.”

The diaspora Nigerians who were in the interactive meeting with the President include top-flight professionals drawn from fields like medicine, engineering, sports, the arts, investment, academia, politics, agriculture, transport, education, publishing, and many others.

He told them that, “You are contributing to this great country (America). If you want to help back home, invest in education in your constituencies. If you educate people, they won’t then accept nonsense from anybody.”

President Buhari said the administration has kept faith with its three key campaign promises; to secure the country, revive the economy and fight corruption.

“I’ve tried to do my best since I came.

“Security-wise, we are better. Boko Haram still conducts cowardly attacks, but the insurgency is not the same as it used to be. They are terrorists and have nothing to do with religion,” he said.

There has been reports of recent earth tremors experienced in some parts of Abuja which made residents fear for their safety.

Few weeks ago, the director-general of the National Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), Alex Nsegbu, said Nigeria is not on the boundary that can make the country suffer earthquake, but a new report by the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has identified communities in four states and Abuja as locations where major earthquake may likely occur in the country.

The Director General of NASRDA, Prof. Seidu Mohammed, disclosed this on the sideline of the second Engr. Brig. Gen. M.O Agu (rtd) Annual Distinguished Lecture in Abuja on Thursday.

Prof. Mohammed, who was also the chairman of presidential committee on the Abuja tremor, said Mpape in Abuja, Kwoi in Kaduna, Ijebu-Ode in Ogun, Shaki in Oyo and Igbogene in Bayelsa may likely be the epicentres of major earthquake if precautions were not taken.

The erstwhile inactive faults system in the country are gradually becoming active, he said, ‘’which now make earthquake likely’’ in and around the country. A number of incidences in these locations, according to him, is also a pointer to the fact that a big disaster may occur there, calling on the Federal Government to do something fast to avert it.

He said analysis of a 100 year-old data done by the members of the presidential committee on Abuja tremor showed that Mpape in Abuja is a hotspot which is highly susceptible to earth tremor and other earth shakeups.

Earthquake likely to occur in Abuja, Kaduna, Ogun, Oyo, Bayelsa – NASRDA
“What it means is that we need a thorough study across the country to identify such hotspots so that we can constantly monitor them from satellite system and from data from outer space’’, he said.

He said the high volume of water being taken out of over 110, 000 boreholes dug in Abuja is further making the situation in the capital city worse. ‘’More than 330 metric tonnes of water being taken out every day in Abuja is causing a vacuum; is straining the earth’’, he said.

He therefore urged the FG to take a look at indiscriminate drilling of boreholes, calling on thorough regulation on earth drilling. He also said engineers should now take cognizance of likely earth tremor when designing and constructing buildings.

Last week, the Presidential Committee on Abuja Tremor said Nigeria was now prone to seismic hazards, which make earthquake occurrence a potential disaster to the country.

The committee disclosed that when it submitted the report of its findings to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu. ‘’Nigeria is now prone to seismic hazards following recent earthquake occurrences in Kwoi, Kaduna state, Saki, Oyo State and Igbogene in Bayelsa State all in 2016. The latest occurred in September 7, 2018 in Mpape, Abuja’’it said.

It said though ‘’these earthquakes may have been of low-magnitude, it is now certain that earthquake occurrence has become a potential hazards to the nation’’.
Earthquake likely to occur in Abuja, Kaduna, Ogun, Oyo, Bayelsa – NASRDA
The committee alluded to the report conducted by Julius Berger on the geological, hydrological and geotechnical investigation for Abuja which identified Mpape as a Shear zone that is weak with several fractures and faults system.

It added that water extraction and recharge imbalance from aquifer is causing hydrological instability along the fractures. The existence of 110,000 boreholes within Abuja metropolis with about 330,000 metric tonnes of water drilled daily is not suitable, it added.

In view of the challenges that hinder efficient forecasting, detection and monitoring of earthquakes in Nigeria, the Committee recommended the procurement and installation of more seismometers and GPS sensors/equipment for the enlargement and networking of the Nigeria National Network of Seismographic Stations.

The committee further recommended detailed Seismotectonic study using State-of-the-art equipment in the area and the entire country.

A white man,Nicholas Ninow, had been arraigned after he was caught raping a 6-year-old girl on Saturday.

The suspect raped her inside a toilet at Dros restaurant Silverton, Pretoria.

Ninow allegedly snatched the girl from the women’s toilet and took her to the men’s toilet where he raped her. .

According to reports, the mother of the child could not find her and heard noises coming from the toilet. She reportedly could not open the door and started causing commotion. .

The suspect then opened the door and was found to be naked. The child was also undressed and bleeding. Patrons proceeded to assault the suspect.

The incident was posted on Facebook on September 22, in a post which read

“I’m at Dros in Silverton en this man jus raped a six year old in the toilet…police are here, she is bleeding…the guy looks 24.

Apparently he was scouting her while she was playing in the kids area en waited for her to go to the toilet.”

The father of the little boy who was rescued dangling from a fourth-storey Paris balcony by a Malian migrant dubbed Spiderman received a three-month suspended jail sentence Tuesday for leaving the child home alone.

Mamoudou Gassama found global stardom in May after footage of him scaling the facade of the apartment building with his bare hands to save the child went viral.

Gassama, an illegal immigrant in France at the time, was rewarded with French citizenship and a job in the fire service.

However,the 37-year-old father was sued for leaving the child unattended in their sixth-floor apartment while he went shopping — the boy was just four at the time.

Father of boy saved by Paris ‘Spiderman’ convicted for negligence

The public prosecutor had asked for the father to be given a six-month suspended sentence, noting that had Gassama not sprung into action the child “might now be dead”.

The father told the court that after spending the day at the Disneyland theme park near Paris with his son on May 26, he decided to pop out for some provisions, leaving his son in front of the TV at his insistence. Expressing remorse he said he had not realised that by leaving the sliding door to the balcony open the child was in grave danger.

He also admitted to being gone longer than he thought — around an hour — because he was playing the popular Pokemon Go game on his phone. The child told the police he thought his father had gone back to Disneyland without him and decided to follow him.

Finding the apartment door locked he climbed over the balcony and then appears to have fallen, before miraculously managing to grab the rail of a balcony on the fourth floor.


Under France’s penal code parental negligence carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a fine of up to 30,000 euros ($35,300). The boy’s mother was on a visit to her native Reunion island, a French territory in the Indian Ocean, at the time. Both parents were said at the time to be extremely shaken by the incident but hugely grateful to Gassama.

Apart from the suspended sentence he was also ordered to take a parenting course.

Just days after the NIGERIA AIR project was suspended, the Federal government has come out to reveal the reason behind the decision.



According to Federal Government, Nigeria Air was suspended due to investor apathy. Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who addressed journalists on Monday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, said investors who were supposed to partner with the government on the project were no longer interested.

He further said:-

“If the understanding of government at the beginning was that the project might be self-financing or the project would be financed by investors and you think that such a project can no longer be sponsored by investors, either because they are not forthcoming or such venture can no longer be viable, the government is at the discretion to take a decision,” Lai Mohammed said during the official opening of an in-flight catering facility, the LSG Sky Chefs.

“The position of government in business is to provide the enabling environment and it is not to become the sole source of finance or funding and in addition, there is much more than funding in trying to get our national carrier. So, the Federal Government thinks this thing should be stepped down now until we get a better funding structure.”
