i think audacity in linux is capable of doing it.

This is for interested gamers in linux. CUBE is a 3D game like ur DOOM or UT or QUAKE in linux. The package need no installation. I got it over the weekend and i was amazed by the game handling of linux. ALIEN 2006 , ELITE:Enemy Territory are also sophisticated games on linux. L8a.

I ve not writen for a while now so i think i should talk about something many people might have issues with. It's on how to copy your vcd to your hard disk in linux. In windows system where u just copy the avseq0x f(x can be 1or2 , ) from the mpeg directory on the vcd disk, but mind you what your windows does is to silently convert the vcd to a format that can be stored on your system under a disguished mode of "copying, ". It's not copying,it's converting!Another windows issue!
so on your linux box, you can't copy the avseq0[i]_what_ever[/i] to your hard drive directly, you need an encoder: This can be done in two steps;
Download and install
1.memcoder. Memcode package is writen by mplayer, so it's based on mplayer and mplayer is based on other dependencies.
2.kvideoencoder. This is a gui to memcoder.
Pls note: Due to english autocorrection issue's on this site, i 've problem writing .d_a_t without the underscore, so pls write it in your own case without the underscore.
The issue here is now how to use the kvideoencoder to convert the favorite avseq0x.that to a format that can be stored on your hard disk. The source option in the gui should be "vcd", the video encoder should be "direct stream copy" and the output format should be "mpeg", then name the output file as "what_you_want.d_a_t"( e.g avseq01.d_a_t)Note i made my output format to be also .d_a_t, you have option for avi.Easy, huh?

Whao! i just said bye bye to ma windows os. I now have a card reader which works perfectly on ma linux box. so i can easily copy ma songs into ma 128Mb MMS flash stick 20times the speed of a sony ericsson sync station.

first thing i do when i launch ma[i] fedora core 5[/i], is to press F12 key, and my yakuake drops down. The first command i find my self typing always is ls -s.Don't know y i do that bt kind of use to it. Then i do amarok & so it  runs in the background. win+x to make it play the default play list. then other things follow.

superkaramba is just used for the desktop time and date display. this theme can be gotten from kde-look.

The vista-inspire icon can be downloaded from www.kde-look.org

I replace the default tool bar icons of the vista-inspire icon with the Gold icons. This can be done from your konqueror windows setting.

Kbfx replaces the default klaunch

Qtcurve is my widget style (window style). it's just fantastic!
it has many effect that can be configured.Majorly it give my window the shiny glassy look.

The dekorator is in a source code form and need to be compiled as this
untar it(uncompress it)
cd into the folder director
cd <package_name>
./configure
make
make install
to uninstall, do
make uninstall

The dekorator is like your plastic theme or lipstick theme with better effect and font end handling.

A theme for dekorator is crystal dekorator which has to be compiled too. this produce the transparent effect around windows and noticed in my window edges.
