I GUESS ITS HIGH TIME BANKS LIST ALL THEY ARE NOT INVOLVED WITH SO WE KNOW WHERE TO PUT OUR MONEY. I CANNOT OWN A JEWELRY STORE OR HAVE BETTING SHOPS THAT I PAY SALARIES AND THEN BANK WITH UBA.

AS FOR 'PORN' ITS CLOSET AFFAIRS. FOR ESCORT SERVICES WHY PROPAGATE CASHLESS SOCIETY? Did people complain of paying cash for ashi b4.

Obviously this moralistic high ground runs foul of a capitalist economy like ours; UBA has obviously ran out of innovative ideas#mchew
Phones9mobile Suicidal Services by NightHawke(op): 12:58pm On Aug 21, 2017
Its no longer news that struggling Etisalat is now 9mobile but what is louder than trumpets is their plummeting internet services. Its been so frustrating that you could attempt to load a page, make a 13km away appointment with traffic and get back with that page yet to load. Meanwhile your data is counting.

This can only spell eventual doom for 9mobile as their customer service cannot even explain what is happening on their network. Obviously their poor services now at its worst can be likened to one with suicidal tendencies as they may ultimately close shop. I now ask, did the outgoing team leave with their technical support[though poor] or is their something else we the consumers don't know that is going on at 9mobile.

I am tired of calling and complaining and this could be my last subscription unless someone has a better explanation or solution about their current poor services. One passing shot; Do we go back to the days of universal modems and multiple sims again?

Do I blame the sports minister when his boss the president through his media aides has prophesied famine next year for Nigerians.

The best this one could do was to raise the bar - sic

Sports is big business for those who know how to harness its potentials.

Really pissed off today; First it was Emiefile with taxing calls followed by Dalung with Nigeria can never win the world cup

; Next Fashola will inform us there will be total blackout for months so citizens should stack up candles

Laid Mohammed will advise us to visit the nearest village square for news as all media houses are closed.

Kai Nigeria, Who Cursed you?

Its obvious this man ran Zenith Bank on loose deposits from Government.
Spin around oil deals dabbed with subsidy claims etc.
How much of the real economy did he encourage his bank to grow under his watch?

Let me add to your obsolete ideas:
1) Send your goons to tax everyone that puts on clothes while walking on the street.

2) Your people can stand before every church/mosque in Nigeria to collect attendance levies.
Not forgetting the shrines too.

3) Since you are a baldy you can tax people for growing their hair and fine the women folk for using attachment and weave-on

The list is endless.

You have just given them an idea of what to do next. grin
That was not my intention. Tired of this moronic persons at the helm of affairs. I know how we are struggling as a company not to downsize. We got foreign exchange @ black market rate to import machines for production.

The end user bears the final cost. How much will you sell.

Most kids don't go to school again with lunch boxes.
Paracetamol now sells for N50 as against N20 for a satchet.
Antimalarial drugs from N350/500 now N720
Palm oil from N300/600 now N1200

Is Syria a country at war expected to be better than Nigeria?

You now wake up and say "You want to tax calls"

If this story is true? I am compelled to vent. This man has lost it.

So sad. Why not go further by taxing the air the populace breathe.

You can even import meters to sell to the people to effectively bill the air they breathe in and fine them for the excess production of co2.

@ this point I give up on Buhari and his APC led government.

I was young and queued for Rice, Milk & Sugar when he came in previously as a military head of state. Essential Services Act then.

Today people can't buy common paracetamol. Now its recession.

I weep for our tomorrow distroyed by the political class and their allies who connived to bleed this country over the years.

The events that will bring this country to its knees is just round the corner.

There is no statistics of the current death toll from hunger and unaffordable health care because most innocent Nigerians didn't even make it to the nearest I'll equipped hospital.

Be assured the remnant of the living WILL NOT FORGET.

FamilyHair Extensions; (PICS) Do You Know Its Source by NightHawke(op):
I was amazed after reading the investigative report by Reuters on women's hair extensions in India and felt the need to share. CNN also did a report recently. Most of the persons whose hair are sold into this trade are in abject poverty.
Is the craze for human hair really worth it?

Keep your hair on: Africa is a billion-dollar business for Indian beauty firms Manu Balachandran
January 08, 2015
India-Africa-Hair, Hair today, more tomorrow. (Reuters/Siphiwe Sibeko)

Lately, an unusual and lucrative business opportunity has been created in Africa for Indian beauty and wellness companies—human hair.

Indian hair, renowned for its strength and texture, has become a sought-after commodity in Africa, where it is sold as wigs or extensions. The demand is such that it has encouraged many Indian companies to not only weave hair export into their global strategy, but also to invest in hair care business in the continent itself.

On Tuesday, Godrej Consumer Products India announced its plans to acquire the South Africa-based hair extension company Friska hair for an undisclosed amount.

“This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to providing African consumers with a wide range of superior quality products at affordable prices,” the company’s managing director Vivek Gambhir said in a statement (pdf). “We remain very excited by the tremendous potential of the African market.”

Other Indian firms including Marico, Dabur and VLCC also have hair care businesses in African countries such as South Africa, Morocco and Nigeria.
Temple tresses

India’s hair export market is believed to be worth about Rs2500 crore ( $393.5 million), and is posting annual growth between 10% and 30%.

Since urban Indians tend to get chemical treatments for their hair at beauty salons, rural temples and villages are the preferred destinations for exporters looking for natural, high quality hair.

Among the biggest contributors is the Tirupathi Temple in Andhra Pradesh, which holds online auctions annually. Since 2011, it has managed to collect Rs618 crore ($97 million) through the sale of hair via e-auctions.

The Indian hair market is typically known to export two types of hair: Remy and non-Remy. Remy hair, usually collected from temples, is of the highest grade and gives a natural look since the hair cuticles face same directions. Non-Remy hair, on the other hand, is processed because the cuticles do not face the same direction. So it is treated with hydrochloric acid to remove the cuticles, which reduces the quality of hair, before export.
Africa’s hair market

Africa’s dry hair market—as the market for weaves, wigs and extensions is known—is currently estimated to be worth $6 billion a year and growing. As a result, it has drawn global consumer giants such as Unilever and L’Oreal, who are investing heavily in African hair care products.

Since Africa’s young population is poised to expand rapidly (pdf), and urbanisation is increasing, consumer spending on personal care products is also expected to rise. And by all indications, that’s likely to include a lot of Indian hair.

PhonesEtisalat Shuts Down Internet Access In Satellite Town by NightHawke(op):
SInce October 11, 2016 Etisalat shut down internet access by its customers located within satellite town Lagos. All efforts by its customer care to explain what was happening was not possible.

Most customers where simply told they where looking into it. Interestingly this is coming after an increase in data rates without prior notice.

This is a sham act by Etisalat on its loyal customers in this location as both homes and offices are affected also cutting across all devices.
