I like your article as it is a balanced viewpoint. The Ukrainian government should have realized that post-Afghanistan hurried withdrawal of US troops will not permit America to be drawn into another war in a hurry. Equally, while we look north towards Russia and Ukraine conflict old foes of America are watching closely to hit it or its allies/interests such as North Korea, Iran, and China. Let us be honest here can America be at ease if Alaska were to fall to Russian control or if it wakes up tomorrow and Canada becomes an ally of Iran or North Korea. In the same way, Ukraine is strategic to Russia too, and let's not forget that the breakaway away states of the former USSR remain tied to Russia's umbilical cord. Finally, I hope some form of face-saving agreement will bring much-needed peace. |
I have had issues with GTCO both as their customer since 2009 and as a citizen of this country. GTB over the years has been making deductions from my account which I found to be unjustifiable. Complaints are neglected until two months ago my GTB account was debited by an online store. interestingly I DONT DO ONLINE PURCHASES and transactions went through without OTP. I froze the account pending investigation by GTB supposedly for 45 working days. Without reverting to me GTB unblocked my account without refunding my money. GTB obviously funds activities that may not have the blessing of its customers by dipping into depositor funds through their spurious charges. See below inflow as captioned from NAIRAMETRICS. Banks earn N216 billion in E-banking income amidst threat from challenger banks Research Team by Research Team April 13, 2021 in Exclusives, Financial, Spotlight the best mobile banking apps, On Google Play Store, some Nigerians are dissatisfied with their mobile banking apps Mobile user Nigerian banks raked in a sum of N216.52 billion from their e-business earnings in the year 2020 as tier-1 banks popularly known as FUGAZ (First Bank, UBA, Access Bank, GT Bank, and Zenith Bank) topped the list of highest earners. Income from digital channels is also classified as electronic business or banking income by the majority of commercial banks. Nairametrics gathered this research from the audited financial statements of 12 of the leading banks in the country. The same banks reported N217 billion in income from digital channels in 2019 dipping marginally by 0.24%. Banks attribute the reason for the drop in 2020 compared to 2019 to the revision of fees and charges for electronic transfers by the central bank in early 2020. On January 1st, 2020, the CBN ushered in a new regime for bank charges. While these mostly affected things like card maintenance fees, charge for hardware tokens they also affected the amount that can be paid for electronic transfers. For example, a graduated fee scale for electronic transfers replaced the current flat fee of N50 such that transfers below N10,000 now attract a maximum charge of N10; and transfers above N50,000, N50. USSD fees also got a cut a few months later announcing that customers will pay a flat fee of N6.98 per transaction every time they use USSD services with effect from Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The Covid-19 pandemic also played a major role in bank performance as it affected the expansion of the digital rollout plans earlier on in the year. However, the pandemic will swing in their favour as Nigerians increasingly relied on mobile banking for transactions while avoiding banking halls for fear of contracting Covid-19. |
I hope he gets help that will make life meaningful to him. Given the present economic and social challenges, we cannot rule out cases of increased suicide and these are largely unreported in Nigeria too. We are no longer the happy people we used to be. Religion that used to be the opium for most persons is fast fading away as reality sinks in. Our extended family support structure is almost gone. Frustration is pushing people to do things they normally wouldn't do. Hopelessness eventually leads to suicidal tendencies. If you are reading this and there is something troubling you, a situation that seems to be beyond you or about to take a decision you might regret in future or feel helpless... I pray help reaches you, I pray you find comfort knowing that the world needs you; YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. You are the strenght of many, You are the light many are seeking, You have so much to give and surely GOD WILL BLESS YOU AGAIN AND LIFT YOU UP BEYOND YOUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES. Remain Blessed. |

Trumann:You speak my mind. Chamberlain is my maternal nephew. Now it's obvious the guest and those that conducted the interview are suddenly endangered species in this Nigeria that is a ticking explosive device. A lot of those sponsoring, aiding and abetting BH, Bandits, and kidnappers against Nigerians and the Nigerian state WILL NOT KNOW PEACE. The stolen wealth that emboldens all of you will be your casket, The munitions you procure for enemies of the state will be your appetizer, The Stars will locate you and your families with plagues as gifts, The SUN and the MOON will smite you for you have been drunken with the blood of innocent children. It is not enough that you all have crippled the economy, turned vibrant youths to be all they never bargained for, Many have died directly or indirectly from your INJUSTICE, You gather to wine and dine at the expense of the populace; Your lot shall be infested with maggots. You think you live to rejoice but you are alive to feel the pain you unleashed on the Nigerian population. Death now means nothing because you all are drunk from the lives of Nigerians your puppets have taken...Point at your families, enjoy their sight for the serpents you have fed will someday soon strike back at you. |
Unless I am missing something here. Is it not better that people are encouraged to deposit their U$D in the bank than having so much forex floating outside the bank? This CBN only makes rules to frustrate the lives of ordinary Nigerians and legitimate business concerns. The fraudulent ones operate outside the rules of the CBN and often get away with it. |
All in a day's job. Stressful work environment etc |
ALL PARTY LINES AND INTERESTS DISSOVED FOR NOW |
Maxymilliano:As these events unfold, I question the terms of surrender. My nephew died as a Nigerian soldier fighting these BH terrorists. He was barely 27 years old and left a wife. his son and the rest of us to mourn him. No provision for his dependents after his death and now we hear this. TRULY ALL THE PRISON GATES ACROSS NIGERIA SHOULD BE THROWN OPEN AND EVERY DETAINEE OR PRISONER FREED. MANY ARE INCARCERATED FOR FAR LESS CRIME. |
Not trying to ruffle the nest here but are the two kids his or the wife took them back to their biological father?? These days women have not stopped shocking us |
What I see here are citizens and businesses trying to play safe rather than been sorry. Notably, there is no compensation for damage to your business premises and goods should you fall victim to the agitators. SO WHY RISK ALL FOR NOTHING? |
The chess game is on.. White Knight takes on Black Bishop... 2023 loading PDP set your house in order |
daddytime:May the cylinders of his highness continue to fire at optimum capacity. Congratulations to the Royal family. |
My nephew died in the Nigerian Army fighting Boko haram. In his last communication with my cousin. he complained of low morale amongst the troops, weapons to fight the insurgents especially long-range artillery. He was quite stubborn growing up but being a soldier was his joy. He gave all for his unit and Nigeria. Finally, he died unsung like most of his colleagues. Buratai and his bosses should channel their zeal to capturing bandits, insurgents, kidnappers, Boko haram fighters, and everyone else sympathetic to their cause. Igboho and Kanu have defined causes and the Nigerian states require little resources to resolve their issues but for the billions of naira spent so far prosecuting the war on BH and its elements in whatever guise so named we need results equal to peace in the Nigerian state that guarantees freedom of movement, the right to farm and go to school without fear. Equally justice for the civilian dead, the brave Nigerian soldier who died for a cause that had its rules of engagement skewed from the start and goals blurred to ensure the enemy always has a window of escape. GOD BLESS NIGERIA and may every citizen be woken from slumber. NB: Be you a High Commissioner or Ambassador in any African Country playing host to insurgents fighting the Nigerian state your duty includes gathering intel and contributing to the decimation of these BH groups that are working against peace in Nigeria |
Good evening. Do you have AUDI A6 2006 headlights? Cost and do you install. The present cover is shaded while the inner shiner is still clear. The Xenon lamp doesn't shine through at night. My model light swings right or left when you drive above 40Km/hr. I don't mind having the manual one so long as the lamp shines well at night. |
This story highlights why we should double-check stories we read online and ensure they are factual before taking any decision or action. |
paddyDIGITAL:Your comment and supporting pictures are spot on. Ronaldo and Pogba cannot be supper rich on U$1500 monthly salary. He is fortunate because if he played in PELE's time the best he will get is photographers and an executive room in a hotel. What if by his action we all stop drinking wine made in Portugal or France... Interestingly I stopped wearing Tommy Hilfinger products after he made the infamous statement that his clothes are not for blacks. C.Ronaldo is a great player with a good work ethic but on this, he got it wrong. Next time avoid the post-match interview if you have concerns. Pogba is not a fantastic player and really doesn't deserve high-paying sponsorship. |
Why am I not surprised? No medical facility in Lagos or Nigeria is good enough for their medical checkup or treatment yet you claim to have built the best hospitals in Lagos or Nigeria. |

Its been very difficult for me to overlook this statement and its likes. Notable also is the threat by Önion Sellers Association" in the north to discontinue supply to the south and ultimately stop the supply of commodities to the south from the north as presented on Channels Television. Be it real or false there is INTENT. If you can see it from your telescope then the difference between there and here is how prepared you are. The drums are getting louder from them. It's our CHOICE to be BLIND or DEAF the cost is better imagined. NB: I now value my land. Thanks for the WAKE-UP CALL |
Congratulations to Ibom Air and the Akwa Ibom people. These are giant strides with potentials for more FDI. The state needs to also position itself as a Tech and Manufacturing hub. I wish you all well and hope my people in Delta State can see what is happening in Akwa Ibom from the same Oil revenue allocation and more. GOD bless us all. |
medropoly:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO |
@Naptu2 Nice recap. My concern with this aircraft is the AAG's already been used by BH against both our fighter jets, frontal commands, mobile assets, and ground troops. Ammunition from Libyan sources is available to BH inclusive of our bases that were previously overrun. I hope the Tucano truly gives us the desired tactical advantage otherwise it's like flying an improved Cessna plane. |
I once recharged another person's line with N2000 worth of airtime. I mistakenly typed 819 instead of 719. The receiver never refunded. I placed two calls to the number, no response thereafter he/she blocked my number. Lesson learnt; be patient with slow networks. |
God will bless you abundantly, Renew your joy, surround you with the needed support to train them IN JESUS NAME..AMEN |
Congratulations and wish you the best in Life |
The police are ever ready to quell peaceful protests but when it comes to combating crime its the opposite...No fuel in their vehicle...Awaiting command etc |
I will deviate slightly. Aliko's security sounds a bit loose to me. It's time for housekeeping as more revelations could lead to a big fall down the road. The handwriting on the wall is not pleasant. His private life is his business but there is some laxity here. Finally, we are all human after all with potential weaknesses. |
What is the French government currently buying from Nigeria or Rivers State? |
[quote author=Miracle1991 post=97017373]Who is onovo? Is it the most useless and foolish IGP we have ever recorded in this country?[/quote You all are confusing two persons here. The person you have in mind is the former Inspector General of Police IGP-ONOVO but the person above is Engr. Martins Onovo a seasoned engineer and PRO-CHANGE/NIGERIA. He was my former colleague back then. When we discuss company issues and imbalance between expatriates and Nigerian engineer's remuneration. He always stood up for all even at the risk of losing his job. Very diligent in his job while he was in Operations and I was in Facilities Engineering. I wish him well and pray he finds the right platform to lead in some political capacity that will bring a much needed positive impact on the populace. |
Item 5 on that list by the writer is asking for refund at prevailing commercial bank rates. Hmm, the church today is indeed a business place. |
