nateevs: Okay, I believe you are now mixing me up with someone else. Yes, I argued "for" the other side occasionally but this does not categorically make me anti-Emenalo. In fact, I like to believe (even though I don't actively participate in those debates anymore), that before you, I was the only Pro-Emenalo Chelsea fan on here.
Those who know the history, know I have participated in very heated debates that almost led to wars on the subject of Emenalo. So yes, I do believe you are mixing me up with someone else.
-------------------------------------------------------------
WRT to the Baba argument, though most times entangled with the Emenalo mantra, I have managed to speak about the subject so far without involving Emenalo. I will be interested in seeing any posts of mine that contradict this point of view.
I am not opposed to the idea of a loan move. Never been. It must just make sense. Regarding Baba, Griffon just posted the perfect response. I was just clowning with the Emenalo bit. Of course I know that you are not one of the the anti-Emenalo camp. Baba cost circa 14m and not 20. Many of the players that we purchased for that ball park fee have gone out on loan anyway. What caught my attention your expectation that Traore would improve and Baba would not. That's why I was asking your perceptions of both players were skewed by 'academy product' bias. |

Skimpledawg: what a heart searing news...Traore loaned out! this means St' Remy would be offered to the idols of EPL as a burnt offering. It's actually worse. I agree with egbon Nateevs in that the writing appears to be on the wall for Remy...AND a new striker is likely on the way in. This means that Traore's long term future at the club is probably in jeopardy. I've highlighted this particular loan as it has the hallmarks of what is usually described as an Emenalo move. I find it interesting that Nateevs is positive about a Traore loan: nateevs: Traore will go out and become better. but not about a Baba loan: nateevs: From where I stand, there is no use for the Rahman loan. I don't believe he is going to be much better than he is right now From a statistical viewpoint(using whoscored ratings),there really isn't much of a difference between their respective performances. So is this really a case of different perspectives, or is there a general bias in popular opinion in favour of young players who came through the academy...perhaps because they are seen as 'one of us'? |

nateevs: I did not see that coming at all. This means only one thing, a new striker is coming in. I still believe Remy is leaving. Traore will go out and become better. Nateevs. How are you bro? Have you blamed Emenalo today? You still have time o. |

Pataki: Are we being linked with him? Bony is actually good. I have watched him play in the stadium a few times back in 2012 when he played for Vitesse Arnhem. If I remember correctly, he was even the top scorer for the Eredivisie back then.
However, he has not been able to replicate that form either with Swansea or ManShitty. Same as Merefish banging in goals for PSV, only to get to Manure, and totally lose form. That said, Bony is NOT the top striker that we really do need. Does he have goals in him, yes. But I would rather go for Icardi than Bony. Bony was the league top scorer till City signed him in January. He was super good at Swansea but was competing with the best striker in England (and arguably the world) at City. Plus Pelle-mumu-grini didn't exactly play to his strengths. Bony is an excellent striker(in the right system), and I would definitely take him at Chelsea. |

Just watched an Aston Villa side managed by RDM lose 3-1 to a Luton Town side in League 2.
And this is despite spending 24m this summer to complement an existing core of EPL level players.
That's 2 consecutive losses now. What a way to start your reign. RDM just stood around moping with Steve Clarke, while the new Chinese owner deliberated whether the money he spent on buying the club would have been better invested in a Chinese Takeaway Restaurant.
When you're shyt, you're shyt. No Emenalo transfer can save you.
Conversely, Cameron McGeehan was on the scoresheet today. One ex-Chelsea player consigning another ex-Chelsea player to defeat. Some of you might remember that Cameron Mcgeehan cost Chelsea 80,000 pounds to sign as a 10 year old.. A decade later and he's playing his football four divisions down.
When you're shyt, you're shyt. No Emenalo loan can save you.

olabode89: Your points are valid. But you might have to look at the Pogba deal from a commercial angle. He is a big draw for Adidas, the kit maker for United and his commercial appeal will increase further with his return to United.
I am fine with City paying 47.5 M quids to Everton and Westham paying 20M for Ayew that was acquired on a free transfer from Marsielle. This is because those fees were paid to a fellow EPL team.
What do you have to say about United paying about 26M pounds for Mkhitaryan who was the best player in the Bundesliga last season (even though he was in the last year of his contract)? No one is praising Mou and Woodward for the deal in a transfer window that a 1 season player such as Leroy Sane was acquired for 37M quids. City are even more irritating when you think about how theyve been throwing maga money upandan. Mangala and Sterling cost almost 100m between them alone. Too much money in EPL mehn. |

So can you let pogba do the same thing please? Pogba is not going to get anywhere near those numbers. That's just a fact. He's coming to play in a more withdrawn position than he usually played at Juve, in a far more competitive league. Anyway you slice and dice it, that is silly money. |

eph12: Higuain cost Juve how much? What about Bale? Where they bought by English teams too? Bale has registered 58 goals and 46 assists in 123 games for Madrid. That's 104 goals or assists in 123 games including UCL Final. That's baba nla justification of his fee. The Higuain move makes sense when you realise that Juve have dominated the Serie A so heavily that they don't need resale value on a player sef. Plus that move is predicated in part on Pogba's transfer. And players can regularly play till 38/39/40 in that league so Higuain could be at Juve for 10 years. English teams are seriously over paying for talent nowadays. Imagine Stones going for 50m or Lukaku being quoted at 75m. That's just madness |

Lana1: Madrid breaks the bank and buys Bale for a world record fee. Nobody complains. We break the bank and buy a player for a world record fee but everybody complains and the deal makes no sense. 29 yr old Higuain goes for £79mill. 18 yr old Sanches £35mill. Yet, "They spend money so much more sensibly on the continent". Why dont y'all shut up and mind ur business(es) for once. Madrid dint get to where they are now by spending conservatively and buying mediocre players. They kept on buying world class players for record fees and now they ve won two UCLs in three yrs. If United needs to keep spending to get to those heights again, then so be it. Its not ur money. So kindly get lost and go play somewhere else. You might need to take that tampon out of your cünt and use it to plug your gaping mouth instead. If you had bothered to use the two things in your eyesockets for once in your miserable existence, you would have noticed that I actually even criticised a Chelsea transfer in my post. Look, my post was not for you. When I discuss football with Manyoo fans, I don't usually involve you...so I don't know why you want to use your head to jam trailer. Higuan deal is as much about weakening the team that came 2nd in thr league last season as it is about signing a guy that just broke a league goalscoring record that has stood for almost a century...and it was enabled in part by this Pogba movement Sanches deal is looking quite good already. 18 years old and a major part of a European title winning side. Things are done differently and more sensibly on the continent. That's a fact. Now that you've been duly educated, you can run along to go and play in the sand or whatever it is you do in your spare time. Miss me with the BS next time. |
