What is Rooneys preffered position?

It's very simple. Rooney is versatile enough to do a job across the front lines and in midfield, however it is extremely hypocritical to expect him to pull up trees when being asked to play in the same position as Yaya Toure.

Some of you manyoo fans seriously lack objectivity, and it's so nauseating.

I would rate Rooney, Aguero and RVP as big influential players that should be impacting on games regularly. In this game apart from that bursting run that Rooney did and the time RVP beat two players and took a shot Hart saved they were quite withdrawn with their influence on the game.

But Aguero kept on knocking at our door even when we were 11 VS 11 until he scored.

I was irritated by Di Maria's freekicks and corner kicks. He had about 2-3 decent crosses 2from open play and one freekick apart from that, Nothing.

Rooney was playing in central midfield with Fellaini...Not even in the hole, but further back...just a little further up from Blind.
You cant really expect him to take the game by the scruff of the neck, while playing in an unfamiliar position.

Despite that, I think Wayne gave a very good account of himself today. RVP on the other hand.....
