the issue is not whether culturally they are similar. traditionally in both countries you were expect to marry from your same tribe or tribal equivalent.

I can see your point but what I am saying is that Love is more important.
Tradition expects you to marry within same tradition cause they will have same cultural values, If cultures are similar then it is easy to see why one can marry easily someone with similar values. So tradition can be more easily overcome if culture is similar.

For that matter in any marriage if partners are  not in LOVE then there is difficulty!! 

Love can also overcome all!! Believe me !! Seriously -- LOVE can overcome all , Try it in any situation.
