AgricultureRe: The best Tarpaulin Fish Ponds for sale in Nigeria by nikaShow(op):
As business unfolds and 'demand' evolves, I've noticed my 'far away' nairalanders book for the 'rubber material' alone because it is obviously preferred over the blue 'tarpaulin' and the 'signboard' tarpaulin- both of which won't last more than a year- mine has over 5 years guarantee ! ‎

I've decided to also allow orders for only the hdpe-rubber material, cut to your specification - (note: I use the new technology imported rubber machine for sealing ( not sowing, lolss)) and then you can make a stand of whatever material you chose.‎(3rd Picture)

Your package would come in like this! 2nd Picture,

We can deliver this mobile fish pond to anywhere in Nigeria.

AgricultureRe: How To Create Jobs For All Nairalanders - Fishery by nikaShow(m): 5:55pm On Apr 11, 2015
esota4280 ,

You talk about fishery but you refused to mention the most important attribute in aquaculture?!

WATER!

So if you acquire land now, you wouldn't dig earther/concrete/ use rubber ponds?

You wouldn't buy pumping machine, dig borehole?

Electricity for pumping to change water nko? Generator + Fuel or Nepa? Who's bill ?

The feed? No store for it? The pond ? No shade?

'all of the above'? No security? Issokay, continue !

The project is doable, but it's not as simple neither would it be as cheap as you make it sound.

I believe in self-employment through Agriculture, and am a practising fish farmer, so yeah, there's money to be made, but don't let anybody decieve you that it's 'easy' or its 'paper-calculatable'

AgricultureThe best Tarpaulin Fish Ponds for sale in Nigeria by nikaShow(op):
Updated in January 2026.

I have reared fish with different ponds. This Asher Mobile ponds are the best tarpaulin fish ponds I have used so far.

And I've also gone through using different fish tanks, cages, bowls and ponds...(in no particular order),

On one of my 'sojourns', I discovered this mobile fish ponds that are made from rubber,

They are actually used as very large (earthen+cracked concrete )pond liners, and they are thicker (2mm) than the blue 'tarpaulin' materials for the mobile fish ponds currently available in the market.

The tanks can be 'stood' with materials such as wood, pressure pipes, Galvanized Iron rods (what I use)...and can be used to line leaking concrete ponds...

Some comparative advantages of this tarpaulin fishpond have over 'others' are...

1.It is very Flexible and Pliable (you can set it up anywhere, your backyard, garage , on top of your decked house, even inside your empty bedroom...lolsgrin- don't laugh, I have a guy with 2 ponds inside his 4 bedroom flat lipsrsealed).‎

2.It has no reaction with water / fish (no need for 'treating or liming', just setup-wash with water and salt- stock !)

3.Long lifespan (at least 5 years, I was told by my importers(the oldest one I have is 2 years now and if I wash am e go be like brand new)

4. It is comparatively cheaper than concrete ponds of the same size and doesn't 'permanently' devalue land use/valuation like other ponds.

5.Leakproof (to tear am na war: it's rubber and not synthetic-rubber, it's stronger than the blue material taupaulin mobile fish pond in the market, it's 2mm in thickness)

6.Discourages growth of algae (I've noticed even when I don't change my water on time, there's little/no algae growth on the tank-the water might be green or brown oo, but nothing go grow on the rubber).

7. It is higly mobile, it can easily enter the booth of any car if well packed. You can set it up and bring it down within 45 minutes.

The sizes and the prices of the tarpaulin fish ponds for sale are---

We deliver in 2 packages.

The first is for the full setup.
Frames(the legs), Pond Liners and Drainage. The complete pond.

20*10*4-1200 fishes-450k

AgricultureRe: See Gov. Rochas Okorocha Eating Cucumber In My Farm (pics) by nikaShow(m): 8:14pm On Mar 30, 2015
Okay, everybody calm down...

I was actually at the Thai-Agro seminar in owerri this month, and we were carried around 'this farm',
I know that we were introduced to the directors of Thai Agro company who happened to be 'the 'SA', Mrs.Ezirim (jasper's mum) and a certain thailand woman who wasn't present at the meeting.

So maybe there was a 'misrepresentation' somewhere...

I also know that Jasper does his own thing, as much as he has the Thai-Agro connection, he strives to have his own standalone 'agribusiness'...

13, 20, 50. Price difference on the latter is much maybe as a result of sourcinghuhhuh?
Please encourage new farmers with good and reasonable prices
For whatever reason, I think the 'cheaper options' should also put theirselves 'out there'...
I didn't even know of this kind of pawpaw till I saw this thread, if he says he wants to sell his own at 50, leave him to sell his own at 50 na...and let him handle his own 'market',
And let the 13,20 people also advertise and get their own market, enough space for everybody under the sun,
We don't have to pull anybody down to make it, let's face our own work and prosper in it!

Jethro , and everybody , thanks for the expose on greenhouse ,

Please can we come back to the less 'expertised' production of tomatoes ,

Jethro2 , what was your production schedule like the first time you planted and lost and please tell us your current 'schedule from production to sales' that makes it profitable...

Some of us are not yet looking at grenhouse , but we are looking at tomatoe production , please Jethro2 , back to your 'real and practical story'...
