Daniel058 kindly explain the procedure for raising so much maggots. And how You do it to always have it consistently.

age2richee, this maggots would serve as supplementary. The maggots are rich in protein and you still feed them your normal standardized fish feed. You get your 'fish weight' result in shorter time than if you were using only feed.

I need it in ibadan. How would I get it?

The poster above me 'Bamdex' is a 'smoker' of catfish, checkout his thread.

Bamdexfarms, we go soon get gist sef. I'll call you.

Awesome!
6 months? Would you be introducing new feeds to them, or its just going to be the 'vegetation'

bamdexfarms:
My question is: how will you protect this pond from direct heat of the sun if it is set up in the open?

You protect it the way you protect your normal ponds. You either place in a shade or cover some part of it with anything. Clothe, net, plastic, anything that is 'air-able'

workkforcelinks:
please what is the size and amount of the type that will contain 2000 fish

I haven't built one that contains 2000 in a go, but I can. Contact me and let's discuss.

GGfadar:
Pls OP
how much can i get a thousand capacity of this mobile pond.

1,000 fishes capacity

I currently have a tank of 20x10x3. That takes 1000 fishes to melange. You can call/whatsapp me and let's negotiate.

kniceport1:
what is the cost of 10ft*8ft,6ft*6ft tanks o bedelivered to abuja

Kindly call me on 08161385163 and let's negotiate.

PreferredAgric:
Pls, the 7,000 cubic. Litres capacity can stock how may fish to maturity on average?

It would take 500 fishes to melange... me I put more because of my experience and management practise.

Awesome!

I have plans to start my hatchery in the following months as well, am sure learning from this!

Neduzze, you have inspired me! I've cleared a little space for a small snail something like this in my backyard. I'll post pictures soon.

Let's do this! Do You buy the watermelon? Me I don't want to incure expenses for this 'passive' venture.

*in the back seat of the class*

I comment my reserve.
the initial farm arrangements didn't have security of the farm included?
When you hand over your farm to someone to manage, what exactly does it entail?

Neduzze5:
Spoils of war

This one na 'mortal kombat'

Great work though, starting agric from resources you have rather than always looking to spend, buy, buy is wise.

I'm following this thread closely.

A recent job delivered for a nairalander in Abeokuta this May!

The specs are 10*7*4 feet!

See what I saw on my jogging today! @ Favours in bodija

Adeyemz4:
thankz

You're welcome.

This is awesome! Am so in this class!

Adeyemz4:
pls what are ur source sir.. and how true is it.. let me Know sir.

My source is all sorts of people were submitting cv's there throughout last week. I also asked a security guard and he confirmed it.

I know UI is currently recruiting into it's security department. I don't know the specifics, but I know it can be a good 'stop gap / hold-body-and-soul-together' kinda job with flexible hours.
You can go to the security department of UI for enquiries.

This is great!
I was in the first 'free' training in ogbomosho and the second 'paid' training at abeokuta and I can say it was fantastic real life practical trainings and a great experience alltogether.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Me too, am interested in vegetables and agro-processing and 'packaging'

This is great o...this site needs more 'location-specific' job threads.

This is great, this site can do with some 'location specific' job threads.

wisefizz:
good day, my ogas in the house...may God continue to help u more, as u are using this medium to help newbies and intending farmers... please i need guide on how to feed with local feed without overfeeding and to avoid water pollution... i'm using tarpaulin pond....

Bro, I use 'tarpaulin' ponds also ,
First learn to feed in a spot always-you'll see the rush for the food,
then when switching to local-sinking feed, I reduce their feed (kg) consumption by 10 percent.
Then you would notice how the water swirls if they are plenty still picking up the feeds or if they are filled and have dispersed.

Let me jump in this thread!

Op, more grease to your elbow as you continue to share, you are inspiring us !

pathology:
the 7000L capacity can take how many cats.

to what level did u fill d tanks u supported wt pressure pipes

are the pipes the common ones we use for plumbing works

do u sell only d tarpaulin or with pipes.

what did u use to hold/ clip the tarpaulin at d edges

So evidently, you know about mobile ponds and thier maintenance. That's good.

Am sure you are also conversant with the term 'trade secret'?

7000 cubic litre is 4 feet tall...advisably it should be 3/4 filled. I don't think there's any fish water holding device : concrete, earthen, tanks that you should fill up to the brim.

dannycom:
@nikashow,d biggest of those mobile pond will contain how many grown up fish I.e table size

Well, I haven't done the 'biggest' yet, note that I import the material and make to the relevant pond size that I want.

The biggest pond available 'on ground' that I have now would take 2000 fish conveniently. It would take more if you practice a "flow through' method.

zainabicy:
Our cucumber Oga -d inspirational Jasper7-Don't mind him, Op asked him what e does, e cannot answer, I hope u learn from dis @Scanfrost , because u insulted op, now u cannot even be proud of urself & say what u do because ur ill manners has showed itself. @ Op- more grease 2 ur elbows, u say u r into ornamental fishing also, can I see some pictures? (and please keep up ur calmness-it shows ur class)

Thank you very much Zainab, that would be derailing the topic but yes, I'll upload pictures of some fish I currently have...my network is just always horrible for uploading pictures.

I think Oyo state went for the lesser of the evils.

Truth be told, Ajimobi hasn't been a governor for the masses.
The middle / lower classes are suffering. Even the state government's civil servants are crippled in their work.
