Chinatown1759:Amdman, please respond to this enquiry. I am also interested in something like this |
Nice one op, You should have added the ones that fuel always finish in their gen... ![]() |
Kiki has had her first heat. She had it when she was about 1 year. I let that pass. Kenya has had her first heat as well. But she had hers at about 9 months. I wonder why that was so fast I'm thinking I should build a cage for them now. Their wahala is getting too much. Most especially the Rott. She greets everything with her teeth. My footmat, my car bumpers, my water pipes around the house, my snooker table cover and any other thing I mistakenly forget outside the house. Shredded with her teeth. Kiki on the other hand knows better and would always leave my things be.

blinkz4real:I would just address this because it reeks of the entitlement mentality that is common with the 'lazy Nigerian youth'. Please note that when you start making your own hard earned money through legitimate business in such a harsh business environment like the Nigerian clime, you would have seen a lot of shenanigans and rubbish for you to be able to identify bull-shitters. I am a farmer. I have been following this Fhemmy process closely. I liked his process. I liked his questions. It showed that he is someone with real farming experience and not an internet farmer. So he knows what he was looking for. As I said earlier when you start making your own hard earned money and you want to give it away, you want to make sure you are making every kobo efficient. Shey because he did not ask you to go and bring letter of recommendation from your local government secretariat? Please go to world bank and collect their cash na. I know of one of my colleagues who won a contract with Obasanjo farms...they asked him to bring 10 reference letters from people he had supplied products before. 10 ! I even appreciate Ineedajob4school response better. Even though I don't think he should be awarded, it even shows responsibility for him holding up his hands to accept his shortcomings. If I were to recommend, I would say Fhemmmy should restart this empowerment again. Until we find the right candidate. His money doesn't have to go to the pocket of whoever he isn't convinced of . It's his money. Let's restart this, some other people have showed up after the deadline. Maybe we would find some honest aspirants there. |
Fhemmmy:I agree. The excuses of network are not tenable for someone who is 'supposed to be desperate for this opportunity. I've been following closely and to be honest I expected 'realer' and swift responses. |
Fhemmmy:Exactly, and also note that Festive season comes with reduced prices because everybody has chickens for sale. Except your chickens are extra big. You need to see broiler farmers hustling and sweating to sell of Thier chickens during festive periods. New farmers should avoid peak seasons so they can learn their ropes in a non-tense atmosphere. |
Great job ! I like how you are carrying us along with pictures and the progress of the pen. This would be a valuable tool for would be poultry farmers. We would learn a lot from you and others can also share a thing or two with you. Keep it up bro ! |
Great job ! Please keep and share records o, number of blocks, Dimension of building, number of cement e.t.c And the costs too. |
Fhemmmy , great job ! I also like the way you are carrying everybody along with the selection process. I'm watching this closely. |
Love this ! Op, thanks ! I'll just bookmark this page for whenever anybody wants to doubt my 'yoruba-ness' ![]() I'm pained that we are not keeping up with our local languages as we ought. |
Adamma91:Thank you. Please keep us updated. We would love to constantly read and learn from your experience |
Great. Thanks for carrying us along. I really wish you success in this endeavour. Pls permit me to ask some questions please. 1. Do you have plans for irrigation ? What source of water do you look to ? 2. How far is the farm from your place of living ? Would you be going to the farm everyday or have workers living in the farm ? 3. How many workers do you plan to have for the 1 acre ? |
RomzyO:I'm in Ibadan. Bought it here in Ibadan. I had to buy Booster for my new Rott though. I couldn't find Nutriola again |
Please note that this is part of what you need to know theoretically This doesn't cover half of what it means to have a farm in Nigeria |
It looks good. But what do you mean by PURE ? It's definitely not been mixed with a local dog if that's what you are asking. But other than that it's definitely still a Rottweiler. |
Check for Ticks on Thier body If the faeces is reddish kinda , as you said... And you have dewormed them. And they are not vomiting. And they are drinking water by themselves but not food... See if Thier mouth and gums are whitish. Get them amitrax to get the ticks off Thier body. The ticks also inject some toxins into their body that doesn't let them eat... |
USE OF STUN GUNS AND PEPPER SPRAYS We have Stun Gun and PepperSpray for sale in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Owerri and in Nigeria as a whole. We can waybill it to everywhere. It's good to always have in the car. 3. Anybody who works at night or in lonely places 4. Anybody who lives alone or inside the bush like a farm or somewhere secluded 5. Unruly77: ![]() She fell sick , was given shots, ate a lot of chicken, She also got trained and learnt this commands- go, come , sit , stay and walking on leash. ![]()
|
We also line earthen ponds and water reservoir with tarpaulin to prevent the loss of water in areas with porous soils.
|
Kiki now at 7 months Anywhere I seat, they come and seat with me. Kiki still bullies Kenya even though all the chain breaking suggest that Kenya is stronger than Kiki. They are both trained and listen to commands. They know 1. Come 2. Seat 3.Down 4. Stay 5. Go (they would go to their different chill zones - I dont have a cage for them) and leave me alone ![]() That's because I have a snooker table in my compound and whenever I'm shooting pool they want to come and play with me and lick my feet...No ! Leave me alone ![]()

agarawu23:I bought it 6k o...it says chicken and rice on the bag as it's main ingredient. I think it likes it, because I use the pellets as treats when I'm training the dog. |
Officialgarri:Maybe the picture isnt doing her justice... I also got Kiki this supplements. She takes 1 per day. Picture 1: The supplements I used for Kiki. I also bought the same for Kenya. Picture 2: Kenya...first of her name, the breaker of chains...leader of the free world. Kenya has broken more than 4 chains. She would break it and then bring it to show me that it has broken. I'm like, The essence of keeping you in chains is for you to stay there, not for you to break the chains. Yeah, I dont have cages for my dogs. The only time I chain them is when I have guests around. They dont like guests ![]() Picture 3: Anywhere I seat in the compound, they would come and seat with me.

I changed the meal to Nutriola and Compounded feed. I want her to be as big as possible, I hope I can get her that big if I stick to this diet ? So I use 1 cup of the compounded feed and one cup of this Nutriola. Morning and evening. I used Booster for Kenya. With chicken bum for a while... Later I reverted to my cheap compounded feed ![]()
|
Initially she used to eat bread, milk and egg... But I figured I need her to bulk up ! So I changed the diet. First Picture: Kiki at 1 weeks in the house (March 2019) Second Picture: Kenya at 2 weeks in the house (November 2019) Third Picture: Kiki and Kenya are eyeing you. Edit 1: So I started of feeding both dogs with bread egg and milk. After 2 weeks, I switched to Nutriola for Kiki that time, but I used booster for Kenya. That Booster was so expensive mehn ! I used only one bag and switched to my secret formula.... I'm a fish farmer, so I know how to 'grow' an animal cheaply. Even my Vet agree say the dogs dey come out well.
|
So I decided to keep a pet...and an online diary for her as well... Kiki is the Alsatian. Kenya is the Rott. So here is Ki-Ki. Very agile and Smart. She knows when I don't like something she did. ![]() Kiki is an Alsatian. I'm thinking of getting another one. Maybe a rott or a boerbel. Edited 1: First Picture: Kiki the day she came into my life. March 2019. Second Picture: Kiki patrolling the compound. No lizards or any living thing allowed on the premises. Third picture : Kiki @ 7months. There's this football field in my area, I stroll to watch their matches in the evenings and Kiki likes to come and watch too. It also helps her to see many people walking around so she's comfortable with people outside. Fourth Picture: Kiki (1 year old plus) and Kenya (8 months old as at the time of that picture). I'm grateful I got Kiki before Kenya, Kiki is not as strong and fierce as Kenya , but because she was bigger when I got Kenya, Kenya dey fear her. Edit 2: So I eventually got a Rott. Her name is Kenya...and she turned out to be such a beauty. Fierce, Committed and just beautiful. When I walk her on the road like this...see the stares and affection. I think she enjoys it sef
