Last week I saw check engine soon on my Nissan 2008-2009, I went today to run diagnostic test at Jethro Auto Abj and found this code.
P.code: 0442 Evaporative Emission leak detected (small leak).
0455 Evaporative Emission system leak detected (large leak).
There service description said "Servicing of injector system.
Are they correct or just want o get 16k from me.

Hi, none of those codes have anything to do with injector servicing.
What Nissan model is this?
You can easily google the code with your exact vehicle for likely fixes.
One common reason for the code is a bad fuel cap.
If it's a Pathfinder/Xterra, then check the fuel cannister at the rear of the vehicle

I just read on 3 Nissan forum where Nissan altima users who had the same issue said they applied LUBE into the U joint and it was resolved... Even tho they were also told to change pump and rack... But after applying the LUBE, the problem was fixed...

At the mechanic, they made me buy a new power steering pump which workd well but the steering was still hard to control... Thus they suggested I guy steering rack...
Is this the way forward?

Hello experts in d house,
Having an overheating issue with me infiniti Fx35.. D car was idle for 3weeks and when I moved it, I noticed it was overheating and one of ac fan not working. I hav repaced the ac fan but still ovrheating.. I scaned it and got P1721 error code. I have disconnet and onected back the battery but noticed that though I over heats but not as fast as before.. Before the temp jumps vey high under 5 min of driving but after disconnecting and conecting the batery, the temprature rise is gradual.. Attains a high temperatue rise after about 45 mins of driving. The car doesnt overheat while idle and even with the Ac on... Plese how do i reolve this overheating isue .. Whats the implication of this P1721 error code as per this overheating in my infiniti fx35 2005 model

Start by steam washing the radiator

Get a brainbox that matches what you currently have and try it.

*NB: The fuel injector cleaner eliminated the Rattle Noise from my engine, hence my recommendation.
If you`v ever observed, countries where Unleaded Fuel are found in all Refilling Stations has no use for Fuel Injector cleaner, carefully look at their automobile shops you won`t find one cause they have zero used for them. Here we are in our dear country where you can not even tell if what you are buying in some Refilling Station is engine oil or fuel. A black man can do anything to make triple gain. I`ve been a victim of one with my Honda Accord and I must say, it wasn`t a funny experience knowing you paid for full tank and you were given 30% OIL and 70% Fuel, my injectors paid ultimate price for that silly mistake I made.

The correct way to go about this is to remove the injectors and service/clean them quarterly.
If you use injector cleaners, you'll suffer the repercussions.

Nissan engines don't handle additives well.
Expect misfires in the near future if you keep using injector cleaners

Rubbish!!!!! iam sure you have never heard of back pressure effect before .No matter of well you deceive the computer,absence of catalyst will will not give the required back pressure and you car will still be consuming fuel .
if your catalyst is missing you replace with another catalyst.
