17-year-old Ugo Ugochukwu is the winner of the Macau Grand Prix.
He is the son of Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi.
Ugo Ugochuckwu, the Nigerian-American racing driver, has won the 2024 FIA FR World Cup.
The 17-year-old won the crown at the 71st Macau Grand Prix on Sunday.
Ugochukwu was born in New York to Oluchi, a Nigerian fashion model mother, and Luca Orlandi, an Italian fashion designer. He represents the US in car racing.
With the victory in Macau, Ugochukwu became the first American driver to win the prestigious event in over 40 years.
Ugochukwu led the race from start to finish for R-ace GP, ahead of Olivier Goethe for MP Motorsport and Noel León for KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport.
The Nigerian-American will compete in FIA Formula 3 — the third-tier world racing championship — in 2025.
Ugochukwu credited his resilience and his confidence for the victory on the circuit.
“I can’t describe the feeling; of course, I’m super happy. It was quite a tricky race. I was pushing the whole way, but I was confident in the pace – ever since Q2, we’ve been really quick, of course, we won the Quali race as well, but there was still one more thing to do, which was win the main race, and we managed to do it,” the 17-year-old said.
“I can’t thank the R-ace GP team enough. We had a great weekend, and yeah, I’m super happy to finally get the job done.”
Ugochukwu was discovered at an early age as a car racing wunderkind. He started Kart racing, a variant of motorsport, in 2013.
Ugochukwu has been dubbed as the next Lewis Hamilton, the decorated British racer, and was snapped up by McLaren for multi-year contract in 2021.
So a gas caught fire in the compound beside us, we share a fence. I heard from my house the sudden hissing of gas cylinder and ran out to see if it's our compound only to hear someone from the compound shout 'egbami o'.
I asked what it is and she said Gas is about to explode, she can't control the gas escaping.
First thing I did was remove my fire extinguisher and unlock it before going out to the next compound with my boxers and singlet 😭 a whole me.
I can't lie, I was scared, what if this thing explodes I my hand as I'm taking it out.
Guess what, her next door neighbors didn't come out o. I managed to disarm the gas - it's a camp gas.
"What if this thing explodes on my hand?" Kept running through my mind, my wife, my two young children - yet I went ahead with my big stomach.
Well I'm back and now I have to buy a new fire extinguisher for my car coz I removed the safety seal on this one and FRSC no dey hear story.
The only way to take back our country is to not fear for our own lives but for the collective.
President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use powerful long-range American weapons inside Russia, according to a senior US official familiar with the decision, as North Korean troops deploy in support of Moscow’s effort.
The decision comes as Russia has deployed nearly 50,000 troops to Kursk, the southern Russian region where Kyiv launched its surprise counteroffensive in the summer, to prepare to take back territory.
Thousands of North Korean troops have deployed to Kursk as part of the offensive, sparking concern from Biden and his advisers that their entry could lead to a dangerous new phase in the war.
The decision to allow use of the Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS, inside Russia had been under consideration for months. American officials had been divided on the wisdom of allowing the new capability. Some had concerns about escalating the war, while others worried about dwindling stockpiles of the weapons.
The US refused to even provide ATACMS to Ukraine for the first two years of the war, in part because of readiness concerns as the powerful missiles require time and complex components to produce. But Biden secretly approved the transfer of the long-range ATACMS missiles in February for use inside Ukrainian territory, and the US delivered the missiles in April.
Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky had been pressing Washington to allow use of the weapons inside Russia, too, arguing he needed the capability to gain momentum in his war effort.
When Biden and Zelensky last met at the White House in September, the Ukrainian leader came with a detailed list of targets inside Russia that he wanted to hit with US-provided long-range missiles, according to sources familiar with the meeting.
The list was a key part of Zelensky’s “victory plan” for winning the war. Biden, who nearly three years into the war had prohibited the Ukrainians from deploying the missile systems for deep strikes into Russia, was not entirely dismissive of the request, the sources said. But he was ultimately noncommittal, and the leaders agreed to keep discussing the issue.
The Ukrainians have already conducted several successful strikes deep inside Russia using their own long-range drones that have damaged Russia’s defense industrial base, US officials note — drones that have a far longer range than the ATACMs.
US officials have also said Russia has moved some of its most valuable targets outside the ATACMS’ 180-mile range, anyway. The Ukrainians have argued, though, that there are plenty of Russian assets within range, including military bases and production and logistics facilities.
A religious man has cried out after spotting a cat in his house. He was crying out, carried Bible and calling on Jesus.
Reacting to the video, Lawyer, Inibehe Effiong wrote:
Blissful ignorance.
Look at an adult man scaring and attacking a poor stray cat that is in desperate need of a home. Instead of sheltering the cat, he is carrying the Bible and spewing gibberish.
Genetically modified mosquitoes such that their proboscis are no longer able to penetrate human skin.
GM mosquitoes are mass-produced in a laboratory to carry two types of genes: A self-limiting gene that prevents female mosquito offspring from surviving to adulthood. A fluorescent marker gene that glows under a special red light. This allows researchers to identify GM mosquitoes in the wild.
President-elect Donald Trump has chosen former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard to serve as director of national intelligence.
“I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength,” said Trump of Gabbard, who had previously been rumored to be considered for defense secretary and CIA director.
Gabbard, a veteran and active duty Army reservist, served in the House as a Democrat from 2013 to 2021, before joining the Republican Party and campaigning for Trump in his most recent race for president. She is now a co-chair of the Trump transition team.
Earlier this week, Trump tapped John Ratcliffe to lead the CIA.
The director of national intelligence leads an office that advises the president, National Security Council and Homeland Security Council on national security matters. Any nominee for the role must be confirmed by the Senate or appointed on an acting basis.
President-elect Trump floated the prospect of seeking a third term in an apparent joke to House Republicans on Wednesday as they met ahead of internal leadership elections.
“I suspect I won’t be running again, unless you do something,” Trump said, according to pool reports and audio shared with The Hill. “Unless you say, ‘He’s so good, we have to just figure it out.’”
The comment got laughs from the GOP lawmakers in the crowd — several of whom later told reporters that the comment was not serious.
“That was a joke. It was clearly a joke,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) said after the meeting. “I leaned over to somebody beside me, [Arizona Rep.] Andy Biggs, and I said, that’ll be the headlines tomorrow, ‘Trump trying to thwart the Constitution,’ which — there’s nothing further from the truth.”
“That was a joke. I mean, he jokes all the time,” Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) said, adding that a problem with politics is that “you can’t even tell a joke without being excoriated.”
Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas), sporting a Trump tie, dismissed a question about whether he would support Trump seeking a third term.
“Are you kidding me? Just stop it,” Nehls said.
Trump, like all presidents, is barred from seeking a third term in office by the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has argued that Trump is seeking to make major policy changes as fast as possible because of his limited time in office, and will not be having to worry about seeing another term as president.
During the campaign, Trump’s opponents warned he would be a “dictator” if elected back to office, an assertion Republicans largely brushed off or condemned.
Trump said late last year that he would only be a “dictator” for one day, to close the U.S.-Mexico border and “drill drill drill.”
“After that, I’m not a dictator,” the candidate said in December 2023.
Trump has previously expressed admiration for leaders who have kept power in foreign countries, including Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“He’s you know, an incredible guy,” Trump said of Xi in 2018. “Essentially president for life. That’s pretty good.”
Trump spoke to the House Republicans as they met at a hotel near the Capitol ahead of internal leadership elections.
Release: “Obsolete Meters”: Violation of Consumers Rights Will Have Stiff Consequences
Pursuant to Sections 17(j), (l) (s), 116 (2), 124, 125, 138 and 155 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018
Wednesday, November 13, 2024: The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) notes with concern recent rumours that its directive to Ikeja and Eko electricity distribution companies (IKEDC and EKEDC) to immediately cease all activities related to the planned replacement of Unistar meters may be flouted. The directive remains in full force, and any attempt by these DisCos to proceed in contravention of it will attract severe consequences.
Contrary to recent rumours, the approval of new meter prices by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has no connection with the proposed replacement of Unistar meters by IKEDC and EKEDC. The planned replacement has been invalidated by both the FCCPC and NERC, and there is no indication that the affected DisCos have breached our directives.
It is essential to clarify that Ikeja and Eko DisCos cannot proceed with the withdrawal or replacement of the Unistar meters unless they fully comply with NERC’s Order on Structured Replacement of Faulty and Obsolete End-user Customer Meters in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (Order No. NERC/246/2021).
The order mandates that meter replacements must be prompt, without disrupting service and at no cost to the consumer; and ensuring that consumers are not subjected to estimated billing due to delayed installations.
The FCCPC's position remains clear: non-compliance with these directives by Ikeja and Eko DisCos will not be tolerated. Any breach of this directive will attract stiff penalties in line with the provisions of existing consumer protection laws.
Consumers are advised to contact the FCCPC on the Commission’s line, 08119877785, dedicated to electricity issues, should they encounter any attempts by Ikeja or Eko DisCos to disobey this directive.
The FCCPC remains unwavering in its commitment to safeguarding the rights of Nigerian consumers against unfair practices by service providers.

Bam Bam Bam is trending because the G.O. of Dunamis Ministries has pulled an Adeboye, respectfully.
Dr Paul Enenche in a new video narrated how in 1978 a man came out and asked the congregation to drop all the money they had, that he will double it.
Behold, the 17,000 people dropped $3.5M cash. So, the Pastor wrote them a Cheque of $7M in return.
The G.O. of the church was curious and then asked about his wealth. The Billionaire man said.,
He started business 3yrs ago with $500. And normally, people pay 10% as tithe, but he did the opposite by paying 90%, and when God saw it. God said “do you mean business?”. God tested him Bam! and again he paid 90%. And just like that, his more test Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam! And his wealth grew.
Social media users are questioning the logic behind this, arguing that it is impossible to raise such an amount in 1978.
Because it would mean one person would casually come to church with an average of $205 to make up the $3,5million.
But Christians on social media insist it is possible and it infact happened.
While Enenche failed to name the billionaire, social media users have guessed it was John D. Rockefeller. But Rockefeller died in 1937. Or R. G. LeTournea, he died in 1969.
These men paid 90% tithe and were world billionaires. And according to Enenche, our man started business three years before, 1975.
The man Dr Paul Enenche is talking about remains a mystery. His narration using “Bam Bam” is clearly comical, while the message is plausible. He said RCCG’s Adeboye was also in attendance.

Black Panther 3 Is Apparently Happening & Denzel Washington Has A Role
Gladiator II star Denzel Washington says he only wants to work with the best at this point in his career, and one of the films he will be in before he retires is Black Panther 3.
When actors get to a certain point in their careers, they have enough pedigree behind them and money in the bank that taking every offer that comes across the table isn't necessary anymore. You get to a place where you can be extremely picky about what movies you want to be in.
Denzel Washington says he has come to that point in his career in movies, and he's becoming increasingly picky about projects that draw him away from theater.
Washing explained in an interview with Variety, "For me, it's about the filmmakers. Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best. I don't know how many more films I'm going to make. It's probably not that many. I want to do things I haven't done."
Washington recently made one of those calls when he decided to join the cast of Gladiator II under director Ridley Scott. He also named a few other projects on the horizon, including one we didn't know existed: Black Panther 3.
"I played Othello at 22. I am about to play Othello at 70," he continued, referring to the Shakespeare production co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal that opens on Broadway in February 2025. "After that, I am playing Hannibal. After that, I've been talking to Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next 'Black Panther.' After that, I'm going to do the film 'Othello,' After that, I'm going to do King Lear. After that, I'm going to retire."
The two Black Panther films have done extremely well for Marvel, and we know they are still interested in characters from that corner of the Marvel Universe. Riri Williams was introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and her spin-off TV show is [finally!] coming out this year. There is also an animated show called Eyes of Wakanda, which features some really impressive-looking animation. Marvel seems to like giving characters three movie arcs: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man. These characters have three movie arcs, with Captain America getting a fourth. The existence of Black Panther 3 is not surprising, but its existence getting spoiled during the press tour for Gladiator II is funny.

Oprah Winfrey was never “paid a personal fee” by Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, according to her production banner Harpo Productions.
The statement comes as a denial of a rumor that Winfrey was paid $1 million by the campaign, which had been reported by some outlets.
“The campaign paid for the production costs of ‘Unite for America,’ a live-streaming event that took place Sept. 19 outside Detroit, Mich.,” a spokesperson for Harpo shared in a statement. “Oprah Winfrey was at no point during the campaign paid a personal fee, nor did she receive a fee from Harpo.”
In a report published by the Washington Examiner on Nov. 8, three days after the presidential election, the story looked to illuminate financial decision-making inside the Harris campaign, which raised north of $1 billion within a brief three-month span and vastly outspent Trump’s campaign.
The Examiner reported that the campaign “paid more than $15 million, according to federal filings,” on “event production,” including a $1 million payment to Harpo Productions for the “Unite for America” live-stream. In its statement to Variety, Harpo did not disclose a cash figure for how much the Harris campaign paid for the event’s production costs.
During “United for America,” Winfrey interviewed Harris and asked the candidate about matters such as abortion rights and immigration. The virtual town hall was also billed as a celebrity gathering, featuring words from figures such as Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Tracee Ellis Ross and Julia Roberts.
In the following days, some outlets aggregated the Examiner report, stating that Winfrey herself had been paid $1 million by the Harris campaign. The mill reached an apex Monday when a video published on TMZ featured Winfrey being questioned, “Is it true that they paid you a million dollars for the endorsement for Kamala?”
“Not true,” Winfrey said in the video. “I did not get paid a penny. Ever.”
US President-elect Donald Trump has moved quickly to staff up his incoming administration, naming loyalists to several key posts within days of his election victory and signaling his desire to have some seated without a Senate confirmation process.
The staffing picks are the subject of intense speculation and scrutiny, with Trump vowing that his second administration will oversee a radical shake-up of the federal government.
The 78-year-old Republican tycoon said Sunday he would tap hardline immigration official Tom Homan as the country’s “border czar,” while US media reported the nod for UN ambassador as going to New York congresswoman Elise Stefanik, a vocal Trump ally.
Stephen Miller, another fierce critic of illegal immigration who served in Trump’s first administration, has been tapped for deputy chief of staff.
The picks signal movement on a number of Trump’s key campaign messages, with Homan’s hardline immigration stance making him a loyal hand in carrying out the incoming president’s deportation promises, while Stefanik, who has voiced strong support for Israel, will represent the administration as the UN grapples with the ongoing wars in Gaza and Lebanon.
Stefanik’s nomination would need approval by the Senate, but Trump is hoping to bypass Congress by making appointments while the chamber is in recess.
He has turned the issue into a loyalty test, insisting that any Republican seeking to be the leader of the Senate “must agree” to recess appointments.
The three senators jockeying for the post immediately issued statements saying they supported the move, or were at least open to the idea.
Three so far –
Trump will not be inaugurated until January, and had previously made one cabinet-level appointment, naming his campaign manager Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff, a position that does not require Senate confirmation.
His weekend nominations for both border czar and ambassador to the UN will help him fulfill a number of his key promises to the American electorate.
Homan, a former acting director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), holds strident views on immigration, as does Miller, who served as Trump’s senior advisor and speechwriter during his first term.
Curbing illegal immigration served as one of Trump’s central campaign promises as he pledged to launch the largest deportation operation of undocumented migrants in US history beginning on day one.
“I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders,” Trump said of Homan on Truth Social, adding that he will be in charge of “all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”
Stefanik, a key Trump ally now in her fifth term in office, has been a staunch defender of Israel and will head to the UN as the wars in Gaza and Lebanon dominate diplomacy.
Israel welcomed the appointment Monday.
“At a time when hate and lies fill the halls of the UN, your unwavering moral clarity is needed more than ever,” its UN ambassador Danny Danon wrote on social media, wishing her “success in standing firm for truth and justice.”

TCN urges action as vandals destroy Lokoja–Gwagwalada transmission line 10th November 2024
As Nigerians await the full restoration of power to areas affected by the recent vandalism of the 330kV Shiroro-Kaduna lines, the Transmission Company of Nigeria has reported a fresh attack on its 330kV Lokoja –Gwagwalada transmission line one.
This was disclosed in a statement signed and released by the TCN General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, on Sunday.
According to her, the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, November 9, 2024, with the vandals damaging transmission towers T306, T307, and T308.
The company expressed concern over the increasing trend of vandalism targeting transmission lines and towers, which is severely impacting the country’s power infrastructure.
The statement read: “The Transmission Company of Nigeria hereby reports that vandals have once again attacked its 330kV Lokoja-Gwagwalada transmission line one in the early hours of Saturday, November 9, 2024.
“Early on Saturday, TCN engineers attempted to re-energise the 330kV Lokoja-Gwagwalada transmission line one, but the line tripped.
“After efforts to reclose the line failed, a patrol team of TCN linesmen was dispatched to trace the line for faults. Upon inspection, they discovered that transmission towers T306, T307 and T308 along line one had been vandalised, disrupting bulk power transmission along the route.”
The company added that two spans of aluminium conductors from the line were stolen, with efforts underway to replace them.
“Further examination revealed that vandals had stolen two spans of aluminium conductor from line one. The Lokoja–Gwagwalada line is a double-circuit transmission line, and while TCN is still supplying bulk power through line two, efforts are underway to source replacement aluminium conductors for the two spans stolen from line one.
“The growing trend of vandalism targeting transmission lines and towers has become a serious challenge, severely impacting the country’s power infrastructure and hindering the expansion and stability of the national grid. This recent incident adds to an alarming pattern of attacks on the transmission network nationwide.
“In the Gwagwalada area alone, recent acts of vandalism include the attack on the Gwagwalada–Kukuwaba–Apo transmission line on December 10, 2023, the Gwagwalada–Katampe line on February 26, 2024, and several others in that axis. Such acts of vandalism continue to disrupt the stability and growth of Nigeria’s national grid,” the statement read.
The company further appealed to members of host communities to work with TCN and security operatives to combat this threat, saying, “We once again appeal to members of the public, especially residents of communities hosting transmission lines and towers, to collaborate with TCN and security operatives in combating this menace.
“Vandalism of power installations is a disservice to us all and undermines efforts to strengthen the nation’s transmission system.”
