From the thread so far, it appears the OP is not in India to visit the tourist sites but to traverse the country by train.
So I don't think it should be a problem unless I'm missing something @Amujale. Perhaps you feel he was disrespectful? Besides, he said he was not in a group, it might be rather difficult to do the camera thing.
The person with the threads on Greece was travelling as a tourist and visiting tourist sites, therefore this topic is different from that one. The OP here is checking out the average everyday India (I believe). |

Thinktank32: I am 25, and i recently moved to a bigger city where I co-rented a flat. My main intention for this was to start a serious relationship and you know get a couple of side chicks. But after moving and Hooking up with a couple of babes I just realized it's not worth it. I mean spending money on women to me goes beyond having the money. I have the money. But it just doesn't make sense spending my hard-earned money on women when I can invest the money and get better. Now the problem is how do I survive and remain focus in the absence of women because I like women a bit and I want to direct my energy into my work. Blah |

Edopesin: Why not The school is gradually becoming private in terms of fees only with little to show for it, even they've recently completed previously abandoned projects, existing structures are left, deteriorating and and still being used Classes are not made to accommodate the number of admitted students, imagine I recently went with a friend to 300lv Engineering class for a course of theirs only to see MEN standing because of no seats! As in not just 10 or 15 people standing o I don't get your point. Are you angry men were standing and women present were sitting? Does your statement men include both genders or only males? If it applies to both genders, why didn't you say students instead of men? Were any women in the class? |

Farki: I must have double posted, but I'll answer anyway.
I personally don't support 'lineage through the father only'. I thought marriage was the joining of two houses so you can't have one without the other. Although not everyone I met believes this, some think since the mother grew the child and spent most of the child's formative years together she claims it for herself.
Eguns have totally assimilated into Yoruba culture having lived here for hundreds of years, just that some people don't accept because of variation in names also because they think Yorubaland ends at Badagry.
Go to the border towns and aside from accents there isn't much difference from other parts of the country. If you don't believe me all those men in boats fishing on Lagos lagoon are eguns.
I thought you quoted me for my comment about Yoruba women . Lineage is typically traced paternally in Nigeria. Exceptions are what I mentioned earlier. Individuals could adapt it to a different format if they prefer but in general, the child is descended from the father unless circumstances or personal decisions dictate otherwise. Yes, I probably quoted you for your comment about Yoruba women but you've mentioned Yoruba men dating SE SS almost two or three times when responding, I can't be following strangers around to know who they're dating when it's not my business and I have other things to do with my time. If I am paid to monitor their love lives however, that might be different because at least I'd be getting some financial incentive for pokenosing . Eguns I believe speak Yoruba but are not Yoruba. |

Farki: Mom is Yoruba dad is partially Yoruba, non Yoruba last name.
These things are just my experience, I've seen it too many times. Ask most of those Yoruba guys that go after South East and South South girls they will tell you the same thing even Davido agrees .
My own personal issues are with Yoruba women, when black people start their gender wars its most likely due to insecurity. If you're Nigerian, you'd know lineage is traced through the father unless there are different circumstances such as you were raised in your mother's culture and dont have much affiliation with your paternal ancestry. So if your dad is Egun, shouldn't you know you're Egun, or what are the cultural norms there as per identity? You keep mentioning Yoruba guys who are dating non Yoruba women, what has that got to do with me and why do you keep emphasizing it? Am I responsible for who Yoruba men date? Am I supposed to be so jobless I should follow strangers around to check who they're dating? To whom would I offer this free service? |

My own personal issues are with Yoruba women, when black people start their gender wars its most likely due to insecurity. I don't have davido as a role model, he's a public figure and most of what he does is probably for reasons unreleased to his fans. Not saying people should not look up to him and admire him, I'm not in the age demographics, I believe he's for younger folks although any older folk is free to be his fan. Yoruba guys dating and marrying non Yoruba women is not really news to me, it's not unusual since the men can marry from wherever they like. The Nigerian trait is to boast about "conquering" women from other places, which for some weird reason is seen as taking over or getting a foothold there. And, technically, you are not Yoruba since your dad isn't? Is your dad partly Yoruba as in one definitely Yoruba parent or he has some Yoruba ancestry. |
