When the Dutch came to Nigeria, they brought slavery and oppression.

They actually interacted more with Benin and the midwest.

Can you explain better ?

This guy's penchant for worshipping his slave masters is beyond disgusting. The same Dutch who enslaved you South Africans for decades and treated you people as animals in your own country?

I highly doubt that the dutch were in nigeria. I believe British Portuguese and German and french were the only ones there
The Dutch were in the midwest, not sure about other parts of Nigeria but definitely there.

The ones who are permanently in family section to supervise relationship problems and dump on females not in their cliques, would pretend to be shocked at divorce while they firmly advocate the same.

The Dutch were in Nigeria in the 16th century I think, midwest region (not sure how, why or if they bypassed Lagos).

Baike (is the name right and perhaps a missionary?) wrote about it.

Beautiful photos and people @ op. I wish Nigeria looked like that.

You obviously lack sound education and proper home training; your poor manners are so obvious. I haven't insulted the OP nor you, yet you generously heap insults on me.

I wonder what you mean by "a generalization doesn't mean all". Maybe you could educate me better, this time without insults.

May light shine on your paths.

Welcome to 2020.
You carefully didn't mention Jesus at all in your comment.

So we should just remain silent and allow the deniers to continue to wreck havoc on igbo unity.

If someone is lighting matches to set my house on fire, would I just sit and watch them or would I be proactive to stop them?

I really don’t understand the point I am trying to get at.

The truth is that religion and logic do not and cannot work together. If you accept one, you must have to do away with or largely reduce the application of the other.

That said, the woman in question was probably hoping you will give her cash for the boy's treatment instead of doing it yourself.

Some years ago, there was this lady that drops her sons (2 & 4) off in a shop behind my mom's while she goes to hustle. The lady hawks sachet water in traffic. My mom noticed that the boy's were uncircumcised and asked the lady why and she said that she doesnt have momey for it now. My mom asked what it will cost amd she said 6k which my mom later gave her. Could you believe that those boys are still uncircumcised till this day and they are grown now. The younger one should be about 6.
Some parents can conveniently make money out of their children's predicament without batting an eyelid.

Poverty or wickedness? I don't know.
What's the point of this story of yours? huh Too much irrelevant gossip here.

@ op

Pray over the matter, preach to the lady and commit the situation to Jesus.

Are you born again and have you accepted Jesus as your lord and saviour?

I agree with you about the historical significance, but i dont agree on it being a nice place.

There are many nice places on the globe, Greece isnt one of them.

Olden day Greeks are the principal agents that wrecked Ancient Egypt and infected their culture with the same religion that evolved into the Abrahamic religions that is running riot on the continent today.

These are the main reasons one ought to have for visiting places such as Greece.
I think you're misreading my post although I get your comment.

I was referring to the museum which the OP called horror, had I been there I'd just have regarded the exhibitions as historical artifacts.

Also, I did not say Greece is nice, I've never been to the country although I hope to someday. But from all indications it might be, depending on what parameters you're looking at. The myths are scary though.

You need to read the interview with IZu Anioma. We keep getting mixed messages. That’s why they is a need for the Aniomas to come out openly and loudly declare their igbo identity.

From that moment, we will completely ignore any one that ever says Aniomas are not igbos.

Also the Aniomas have never made it loud and clear on what they are. If they did, all these conversations would never happen.

There is a sense of ambiguity where space is created for the deniers of Igbo identity to thrive without any consequences for them.

Allowing this to continue breeds disunity among igbos
Everyone has a fight.

You've chosen yours.

However, remember the purpose of this thread is not what you're typing about, so get worked up on the relevant one? huh

The bold is one of our biggest problems. We need to learn how to play standing on the fence and striking when the time is right like the yorubas have always done.

Anytime I hear southern unity from them, I immediately see gullible foolish igbos rallying with them not knowing that hey are being used.

Let’s use this 2020s and finally be wise. Enough igbo blood has been spilled. It has to stop. If we don’t start watching out for our interest in this new decade, then our children and grandchildren and future generations will continue to suffer the consequences.
You seem confused, going by your posts elsewhere calling for people to be permanently silenced.

How about you get to be silenced so you could stop disturbing the cyberspace.
