Programming / Re: Is PHP Getting Outdated And Not Relevant Again? by Nmeri17: 12:48am On Jun 14, 2023 |
peterincredible: Please add suphle to the list. It's a new php framework whose documentation is at suphle.com. Op, to answer your question, yes, php is truly withering in popularity. Some of us are resuscitating and reviving with cpr and ice water. Please read the introduction part of this article. There, the author discuses various helpful tools that put php on par with the more trendy languages. It's kind of long but do give it a shot |

qtguru: Awesome. You are a real gee. Surprised to see you still active on this board after all these years. You survived it being overrun by script jobbers and fraudulent miscreants. Your handle is the only one I recognise (and air. saylongcon) Hope you give php another chance. We have something quite promising at the doorstep, ready to compete with your nestjs and co |
Programming / Re: I Must Learn Spring Boot by Nmeri17: 7:41pm On Feb 26, 2023 |
qtguru: Performance? Oh, bro 1) that's highly subjective (what exactly is being measured? What percentage of applications require that functionality, etc?). 2) have you heard of roadrunner and swoole? Note: I may come off as defensive but the truth is php gets too much undeserved hate. Think it's only fair for its detractors to indicate what metrics they draw their judgement from. Kvngfrosh: Fairs. One of the reasons I defend textual content over videos is the longevity of the dynamic ie you can always wake up and update it. But I just realised books discussing subjects under active research and improvement (eg software) fall short of that boon. I sincerely hope not to work with spring again. My experience wasn't palatable cuz I've used simplified, far better documented alternatives. And that company I used it with, took me 100 years into the past with nosql But, never say never 2 Likes |

qtguru: That's a terribly outdated book. I enjoyed reading it at the time cuz the writer is entertaining, but the experience in real life work is far different from what is taught there In what ways is spring better than php? |

Very bad: abuse, in any shape or form. People easier adapt to the verbal variation of it. I find it painstaking to endure even when not directed at me *** Betrayal. Their tragedy lies in the fact that the passage of time may pardon the offender, but the victim continues to bear the scars of the backstabbing. The wound can be opened unannounced, recalling long forgotten memories that cause the victim to malfunction Bad: low self esteem, no sense of self – when the internal image of one's identity is a hazy mirage, selfish enrichment can influence an enemy, bully, or bystander to sway the mind of such a person to their whims; like a reprogram. Some wind up as nervous wrecks. Other times, it can manifest as much worse. It can be lethal for overthinkers, or when the emotional lobotomy erodes the mind over time. We haven't really figured how to mend broken minds – not "broken" in the sense of lunacy. For someone to grow that rigid worth in their mind's eye, one you can't convince them away from. I see it sometimes in those who are grossly inadequate. What they lack in substance, they compensate for in pride, and confidence. It's not necessarily proportional to the individual's worth. It has more to do with faith in one's self, and things can be bad for those with difficulty building it Another bad one is brain freeze. It's a funny glitch the mind does when its owner suddenly finds themselves in a district not anticipated. It's like rapid drop in blood flow. It drops from the cliff of overconfidence, hubris, unsuspecting naivety. The instant the brain comes to terms with the consequence of its unpreparedness, it feels like the end of the road, so it simply freezes. It can leave the smartest person morose, or yammering incoherently Generally, you want to fortify yourself from a flight of the mind There's also ridicule: amusement at the predicament of the unfortunate. We call it "learning to laugh at our flaws". You don't really gain admission to that college until you've walked their path. The examination seeks to determine whether or not hilarity can still be inferred from the scenario. Our excitement should never be accused of insensitivity *** Good: euphoria, but in moderation. Long lasting happiness is almost impossible to sustain overtime. You either burnout, or wither away. Those checkpoints guide our balance where we can refuel to go again *** Very good: Curiosity, discipline, empathy, resilience |
