Let me correct some misconceptions about ownership of football clubs.

At £3 or £4 billion level nobody buys with cash, they all pay with bank loans or hybrid (loan and cash)

Unlike what the Man utd owners did by putting the loan directly in books of United, owners of other clubs create holding companies and put the loan there

Football club owners DONT dash clubs money, they either inject money by increasing the capital base or lend the club money

The difference between what the owners of United are doing compared to other clubs is that they are getting what is due to them (dividend) now instead of postponing it till later.

The other club owners will also get what is due to them at a future date or when they decide to sell the club.

It is just different accounting models employed, basically the operations are same. Nobody is dashing thier clubs free money. And yes they where all bought with debt, they just recorded the debts in different accounts.

United’s wage structure is the cause. Every club has its own unique wage structure. United was paying Rooney about £300K/week as far back as 2014.

Pogba’s wage was commensurate to his level of talent as at 2016. He was one of the best young players in the world and he arrived at United when a dross like Luke Shaw was already on £195K/week.

The tax code in Italy is different. In Italy, a foreign player’s tax liability is capped at €100k to attract foreign players to Serie A. So his take home pay in Italy is €7.9m

So he is pocketing more money at Juventus than what United offered him.

I am sure Xavi had an input in deciding the players recruited, and as you can see he didn't insist on Barcelona recruiting players from a particular league or players he has worked with. Regardless of what has happened in the past, the problem with United this season is that of a lack of a coherent strategy.
At the core of this is ETH lack of experience managing at Man utd level , plus he is also new at the EPL.
A good example of a club with a coherent strategy is Barcelona, while everyone was thinking they were going to have a problem with recruitment this window because of thier financial situation. They sat down, identified their targets and looked for alternative solutions to funding. That is what United should have done, by now we shouldn't be talking of trashlanga or mcfraud. 90% of our business should be done. And there were so many options for us, we had a good pool of players available on free transfers, players in final year of thier contract etc. We should have sat down to properly plan.

The Board doesn't recruit.
The CEO presents the recruitment strategy and budget to the board for approval.

If you are going over the budget, you will need approval from the BOD with justification.

The recruitment strategy doesn't originate from the Board.
The Board doesn't sit daily, probably once or twice in a quarter.
So it is not as if the Board and the coach sits down to recruit and haggle over prices

Do not confuse the job of a CEO with that of the BOD
Don not confuse the job of a DOF with the BOD

Boards of directors are not involved in the day to day running of the club.

Its common knowledge that you may not get your A targets. A competent board that has been in the game for years should know this. In fact, the incompetent ones know this too.

A serious board should have this discussion with the manager! This just shows he has never been in charge of transfers before. He can't start now. Instead they have the discussion and identify everyone that can fit in the style he wants to play. Its a red flag when the coach says only this player can play his style.

Erik Ten Hag is a joke. The whole footballing world, irrespective of the team you support was unanimous about Mcfred being shit . Yet this coach is still starting the season with them. I mean common!
A good player is a good player irrespective of where they come from, if he gets Dejong that he is fighting for and the guy comes and gets a season long injury, what happens? We go back to mcfred abi!
Many solid players were available this window and we all sat by as other teams signed them. There are still a couple of players available, quality players somebody needs to take charge at United and put a stop to this circus forthwith. Ten Hag has never managed a team as big as United before, he is a good coach but recruiting players at this elite level is another thing entirely. Look at Barcelona for crying out loud, with the massive debt they are in they are still hussling for players, ldid they live everything to Xavi? I mean look at the calibre of players they recruited, look at Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea , Bayern etc.
Ten hag as never operated at this level before and its showing, we can still save the season, the time to act is now.

The goal Ajax conceaded against Benfica at the UCL was because of the lack of height of Timber and Lisandro. Lisandro is going to struggle in the EPL if he plays center back, especially at set pieces. Those statistics from the Eridivisie are not going to matter in England.

I said top form. He has hardly played since he came to United which is why his reputation has downgraded which will happen to anybody. When he was in top form at Ajax top clubs was fighting for his signature unlike pernandes getting rejected by Tottenham before Ole save his career.

Even Erik Ten Hag doesn't rate VDB that much, that is why he is chasing Eriksen, Telemann, Peredes, Lisandro and de Jong. If he is able to secure these signings VDB's place will be cemented as a squad player.

Please when Vdb was at Ajax in peak form top clubs like Madrid and Bayern were fighting for his signature while Pernandes was getting rejected by ordinary Tottenham. Bruno should be thanking Sir Ole daily for helping his career. Put Bruno up for sale now and no top club will be interested.

VDB could only attract Everton for loan. While he was there what did he achieve? And Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, and all the big clubs you claim were chasing him are still interested him right?

Let us put Bruno and VDB up for sale and see how much we will make for each, also which calibre of teems will bid for them. I wonder how somebody with eyes will say VDB will bench Bruno.
