To EXPLAIN MULTISTREAM IN LAY MAN TERMS


1.Analogue broadcasting- You can only transmit the whole frequency as one channel e.g AIT will take one whole frequency to broadcast,

Then came digital in 1994 with the coming of DVB.

2. Dvb-s1 means that single frequency we used in analogue can be broken down into at least 20 channels. With Dvb-s1 you can compress plenty tv , radio or even ip into one frequency. but you do this by multiplexing everything into one single stream. So in S1 you have to multiplex.

3. Dvd-s2 allows you to eliminate multiplexing, broadcasters or users can send out multiple streams in a single frquency.

Let us take CNN as an example, CNN has multiple studios in diffrent locatio. Say they have studios in LA, DC New york and Cairo.
In Dvb s1 they will need one frequency per studio to send feeds back to atlanta thier headquarters. i.e
LA one frequency
DC one frequency
New york one freq
Cairo one freq.

But in dvb s2 they only need one frequency to run the whole operation. as the diffrent studios can share that single frequency each studio can send streams on this single frequency independently without interfearance.

The dualization of same road will begin next month. It has been awarded for 130 billion nara. It will be smooth sail from lagos to mokwa in a couple of years.

I can authoritatively tell you today as a kwaran who lives in kwara for almost 30years now that Bukola Saraki will hardly win 2lg out of 16lg we have here come 2019. mark this too. APC will conveniently win kwara with just negligible stress

Supersport(multi choice) having exclusive right to show epl barred tstv from showing epl, but that doesn't mean they can't cut a deal with other media houses that already have the right to broadcast epl. Unless there is some hidden rules that forbid such which I'm not aware of.

That's why the likes of ctl and trend can show epl without anyone disturbing them.


Lemme put it in simple term;

Let's say, NTA gets exclusive right after paying tonnes of money to broadcast buhari's media chat, or african cup of nation.

Channels tv cannot broadcast that programme directly from aso rock but they can cut a deal with nta to allow them show buhari's media chat.

Then you see channels tv linking up with nta for that particular program.

If tstv decides to create a channel like supersport to show epl directly without linking up with bein in sport, that would be completely illegal.

Rights are sold on territory basis, beIN has the right for MENA( Middle east and north africa ) Dstv for sub sahara and south Africa and the rights are exclusive, none can infringe on the other's territory.

You need to different Satellite channel freezing from IPTV buffering. They're not same.

Or are you trying to suggest TSTV is rebroadcasting beIN sports signal from an Iptv source? Is the rebroadcasted signal now iptv? I beg park well! You no sabi anything, whatever source Tstv is getting the signal from as long as they are broadcasting via satellite its not legal.

what do you know about technology? How can a signat being broadcast from a satellite transponder be iptv? You were saying that a satellite signal is beffering and you expect me to believe you know anything about iptv. Tstv is currently broacasting via satellite right now, they have not activated thier iptv set up.

The others that are stable are Terrestrial and Satellite channels.

DSTV has the sole rights for Satellite broadcast of UCL in the whole of Africa, save MENA. Whilst Canal has same right in French speaking African countries.

For TSTV, to use BeIN, it has to be IPTV.

Why the intermittent freeze? It has to do with network ISP strength. I just finished watching UCL matches via Modbro, using ntel 4g LTE. At some point, BeINsport 5 that showed Dortmund's match freezed at some points. Yet Ntel's LTE is the strongest in the whole of Nigeria. Stronger than Smile, Spectranet, IPNX, Glo, 9mobile and MTN etc. There's still signal drop.

This is just the testing period for TSTV, they need to improve on the 4.5g to if possible 5g. With strong network, there wouldn't be intermittent freeze anyone.

Another thing I suspect is that, the BeINsports might be broadcasting in HD. For HD channels not to freeze or buffering, you need very strong internet.

They can either use
SD
2g
3g, which would prevent the buffering or intermittent freeze.

I hope any of the people would visit this thread and take a feed back from all the people posting on this thread
