If you don't mind my asking, pls how much was The accommodation you got and in which area of town? veleta: |
Hi Veleta, I'm doing great. I returned from my sorjourn and got buried in a pile of WORK! I never spoke to doc on phone while in Naija, till I saw him in person. His waiting room is bursting at the seams. by way of suggestion try calling Tuesday and Thursday say 7pm Nigerian time. I think he has procedures on some days and is available in the clinic on these days. He's a very easygoing person and I'm sure he would be willing to speak with you if he knew you were seeking audience with him. I'm also hoping that Njidekachi can give you the name of the contact she has. That may help you. Cheers veleta: |
Congratulations Mum. All praise to our God. He has done valiantly! God's sure blessings all the way for you and your LO! Ajujuju2: |
In fact ehn?! Some of us 'ave h'eagle h'eyes oh! I can't even deal! ![]() LadyGuinivere: |
My sister, Nor be shade oh! How i go dey shade you nah? Ginwa bukwa my 'fersonal ferson'? Mba nuuuu! Ka anyi rapu agents aka, ka fa rapu kwa anyi... Before aka enwe turns to aka madu... Me sha, I cannot come and enter God's own country, where the system works, and still sit back and not work the system. Go ahead and plan to do it yourself, you'll be fine honey. Hahaha! ROTFL! Two toddlers in one... Idumota market!! Two arms and a whaattt!? Baibee! Nor vex, I nor dey laugh you oh! In fact I emphatise with you. Just that you're a clown sha! ![]() but 'zeriouzly' sha: 1. what's the difference between a KLM/Airfrance flight and the Emirates or Turkish flight? 2. If that difference is buying me a shorter layover and fewer hours in the air (after all, does toddler have her own seat? Or will be riding on your lap?) Can I manage it? My advise is to consider smartly for the sake of your strength and peace of mind. Afterall, sometimes that money we're trying to save usually ends up as shopping money. So personally I would give up the dress/shoe/bag/baby items that the 'savings' will get me and opt for travel peace of mind... or how you see am nah? Oya, gugurus, in case i nor make sense, over to you. Momo13: |
All these Tanko-ites... Naija mamas! Agent tinz still dey our blood oooo! But i can't blame us... We grew up using agents for everything... Even to pump fuel at the filling station! ![]() Are you people aware that one of these agents last year lost someone's baby's blue passport while on Nigerian visa issuance runs? Imagine the horror and the stress of obtaining another passport... You really can do these things yourselves nah, you dont need agents. Its really so so easy and stress-free... All you need is your docs and payment as stipulated on the website, and a return envelope at the post office! Ive never had to use agents for this and many other things, all i do is read up and apply what I've read. The link below is for the Nigerian Embassy in New York, where i have processed all my Visas, through expedited means without issues. http://www.nigeriahouse.com/visaapplication.aspx Wishing everyone a Happy Democracy Day... Democracy actually literally means "People Power". We the people have the power... ![]() ijeomaobi1: |

Greetings from yonder. Arrived a few mins ago on KLM. Chai, those KLM people don't know we are Africans? With their Poto-potor food... jump and pass biko. I was just eating only the bread and butter and washing it down with coke. My POE experience na waka pass oh. Nothing to report. I used automatic processing (was directed there because this is not my first time using the visa) and then off to those final CBPs that don't have computers. 1.What are you here for? 2 week vacation. 2. What do you do back home? I'm a *&& working with **** 3. Do you have food? Yes. Egusi, gala, dried fish, roasted peanuts and cashew, blardy blardy blah. And then I was stamped in for the usual 6 months. After that I collected my bag and hit the streets. No Agriculture inspection. Nothing. To God be the glory. With my long belle and all. In fact umunnem, no matter how many times in a year one clears US immigration, each new entry always is a new experience. The weather is pure heaven. Sunny but coool!

Hmmm... Honestly I don't think I even took a look at what Naija Immig. stamped on their blue passports when we came in... We just went and did a Naija passport when we got in, and then started with the travelling out with 2 passports (Show blue in Lagos to jet out of Naija, show Green outside when returning home to Naija... But your question is not clear though.. which Nigeria immigration are you talking about now? I thought you already said Naija immigration already let you back in by stamping one month? Egonne1: |
OK. My last experience. I bought a graco stroller+car seat (newborn to 1.5yrs or so) $200. Was very useful. Delta allowed me check in the car seat base at the counter and I pushed the carseat+stroller through the airport up to the plane door mouth took out baby into the plane and they packed them up from first departure point plane door. When I got to transit point I saw it waiting for me at the plane door again as I exited the plane. Dropped it again at plane mouth on final leg to Naija. just make sure you get it tagged at ticket counter or departure gate counter. Most airlines, if not all, allow carseat and stroller as additional items to baby's luggage. Even including adding diaper bag to baby's hand luggage. But you will not be allowed to carry carseat into plane unless you bought a seat for baby. They pick from plane door and put in the hold. Just discuss with the airline. Call their toll free lines from over there. All newborn stroller-carseat combos have to be separated before folding the stroller. Good luck! Ajujuju2: |

See scam! 258?? Where are they getting their dollars from? Central bank of which abokee? Banks are still selling 197 per dollar before charges as at today o... At least i got confirmation from 2 banks today... In other PTA news, someone told me her PTA was approved today in one of these banks in the amount of.... Wait for it... 500dollars! ![]() Mumtwins08: |
What the $£"%%&**@@!?! This should be scripted and made into a movie on Africa Magic "Yoru-Hau-gbo" I can imagine the VO's on their Friday happy hour... enough to laugh about! LadyGuinivere: |
Thanks girl. I still look at the old "gruesome" pics and videos with joy and grateful smiles. Blaize777 will pass through this and testify. She will not leave Yankee empty handed. That was not the plan (hers or God's) Let's keep really lifting her (and other cases we know of on this thread) in prayers. That's why we're a group, though faceless. If we continue to lift each other up, I can guarantee that when we finally meet each other up in real life, there will be screaming and hugging and joyful tears... like long-lost sisters. ![]() LadyGuinivere: |
Dear blaize777 I'm not happy reading your recent posts (bolded below+the other where you said your tears have run out)! So perhaps you need some hard truths (I realise we are Nigerians anyway, na strong word na im dey enter us pass soft words) Are you a FTM? Yes? Then I think I understand where you're coming from ). But then... True story: When I had my first child, i had chicken pox in week 39, had to be induced in week 42. Then he was distressed in the womb, passed meconium inside my womb, apgar score of 3 or so. On coming out he was diagnosed with some nonsense congenital ish, and given 3 months to live. As a FTM I was inconsolable, rolling on the floor crying, asking myself who have I offended, who hates me this much? Why must mine be different? Long story short, because I would not let go and let God, I ended up with a partial stroke. That's what my depression got me o. So I became a casualty. Q- Was I able to help my kid then? A- Even an onuku knows the answer to that... I was barred from breastfeeding, even from holding the child. I added to the problem on ground. But after all this my eye opened (spiritually tho, physically I was a mess... I looked like a freak sideshow!) What did I do after that, I had to painstakingly cast my mind back to how good God had been to me in the past... All the strong things He had brought me through... You know when bible said "And David encouraged himself in the Lord " that was me right there. You know what I did? I would pick the child up, look sternly at baby and start speaking... -I carried you in my womb, this womb (slapping my stomach! ) for 9 months-Those 9 months were not for nothing oh. -I am your mother! You must listen to me and heed my voice -You shall not die, must not die, you're not permitted to die! - You will live. -Rise up and respond to treatment Can't remember all the things I told this child biko. Pickin jus' dey look me. I was declaring like mad... you know ministering angels don't respond to tears, they respond to errands you send them on. I was dishing out orders concerning my baby and myself. This child given 3 months to live is a big kid now, the next blink he'll be ready for secondary school... I still order him around, I just even ordered a batch of koboko for him the other day ![]() My sister, be of good courage. I still maintain there is NOTHING God cannot do. He's just waiting for you to touch heaven with your faith. I remember when I went through mine, I had periods of doubt and I would still say "Lord I believe you, but the circumstances are fighting my faith, Pls help my unbelief!" All this I just spoke about happened here in Lagos oh! Where equipment nor dey, not to talk of better doctors. But God sent help... E come be you wey dey Yankee! Remember that Some people are back home who wish they had the opportunity to rack up NICU bills to save a life, but God chose you to get the visa. Maybe that visa was issued for "such a time as this" according to Mordecai. So why am I writing this epistle? So you will brace yourself. Your matter will be resolved. Start figuring out where to organise koboko for when li'l mama will grow into lil drama queen They always do!Frank Edwards song says: My God is still changing lives He's still alive doing good He is the source of your strengthhhhh My God is still changing lives Changing livesss. .. (somebody help me sing jor! ) E-hugs! Make I go check if this strike still dey happen today... ![]() blaize777: |
All the legal luminaries be showing talent up in here! Ekenem unu! Migwo! Oböta! So-song! Ekalè! Una weld one oh! Even the constitution making an entrance in a bid to educate us. This forum is truly a blessing. nefertitiram: |
I declare over you and your baby, God's divine and merciful intervention.. The Bible says that He that keepeth YOU shall neither slumber nor sleep. He shall give His angels charge over you (and this situation). Power from heaven is available for you and is at work concerning you both. Be of good cheer girl. Worry not about bills. No amount of money can buy that precious life. God dey on top your matter. Just said a prayer for you. blaize777: |
Congrats Mama! Spots ke!? I swear, Satan has really come out to play these days! But our awesome God be bashing his head on the wall and clipping his horns big time! i just joined this forum a month ago, but the encouragement and inspiration here ehn!!!?? Nor be joke! . God forbid, if any mama has to stay back because of issues, don't apply for extension o! Just sit it out and bank on explaining yourself when it's time for renewal and expect VO to smile and give you a pat on the back.
