But in Russia a Major General is likely to command a brigade, a major tactical military formation, composed of three to six battalions plus other supporting system.

Battalion, brigade are all capable of independent operation but battalions require re-supply to sustain it's operations.

Battalion fights through its brigades so a Major General is unlikely to be at the front.

So for Ukraine to eliminate a Major General means many soldiers went down.

It's not easy to kill a Maj. Gen in war.

For example, U.S Army had nearly 1,100 generals during WW II the bloodiest war in history, but only 40 died, and some of the deaths were even after war not during the war. Only 11 were KIA, 4 died of plane crashes, 5 dies of natural causes like heart attack, 1 died of friendly fire and 2 were captured and executed by Japanese. The other deaths happened few months after the war.

But in all only 40 generals died while USA had a total of 407,000 military deaths.

So meaning, one general for 10,000 soldiers on average.

Russian already lost 2 Major Generals in a week.

That should be two generals commanding a battalion.

Russia military is over rated.

Only a Brid. Gen had been killed since the war against Boko Haram and it was an ambush.

He wasn't commanding a battalion or brigade when it happened.

Putin has not said he wants a ceasefire, before the invasion he gave conditions to prevent the invasion, and now after the invasion he is given conditions, he is even humane to do so, he has never said he is backing down, In international politics, a war is defined as the final test of power, it is left for the comedian president to accept these conditions for peace and not let himself to be manipulated by the West. Firefighters successfully extinguished a massive fire at the six-reactor Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant in Energodar, southwestern Ukraine, local emergency services announced early on Friday.

“At 6:20 [local time], the fire in the training facility of Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant in Energodar was extinguished. There are no victims and casualties,” reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on their official Facebook page.

It was earlier reported that the massive fire had been localized in an area of 2,000 square meters.

The fire at Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant broke out Thursday night at the training facility situated next to the station.
