PoliticsRe: NASS Leadership Crisis: Buhari, APC Govs Tell Saraki, Others To Respect Party by Noblechykk(m): 9:04am On Jun 25, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
Buhari should Reign on this traitor called Saraki, let him defect to PDP and dig his political grave!

Enough of this nonsense pettings!
Accept my sympathy; it won't last long; just four years. Take heart
PoliticsRe: Senator Ndume Defeats Ahmed Lawan In Mock Election For Senate Leader by Noblechykk(m): 9:00am On Jun 25, 2015
sweetgala:
The audacity of Saraki to conduct a mock election which he himself did not subscribe to during the senate presidency saga .

Saraki can't have his cake and also eat it , or his 4 years would be filled with quarrels
This is quite different because Saraki has the sole power to appoint who ever he wants for the posts but for peace to reign, he opts for mock election

Majority of what?

Sarakis like minded group is still larger and more progressive than that of lawan containing senators the likes of Dino melaye amongst others, and it is getting larger by the day as its selling ticket like tambuwal's was is independence of the legistature and all this is internally at the party level, you don't need me to tell you whom the very significant PDP minority will back. So i ask you again, Majority of what?huh
I only wish she understand politics

Yes! Made mostly of PDP's members. So I understand why he's a good man in your opinion.
I didn't say he is a good man; he is just a regular Nigerian politician; but for the sake ofnour country, we have to encourage actions like this so that imposition of canditates will die a natural death. Thank u.

There's no New APC for Saraki and his group, the only option left for them is to go back to PDP.

If I'm Lawan, I'll also go behind to make deal with someone like David Mark and let's see who will lose.
It's quite unfortunate that u guys are so blinded by selfish party loyalty to see that Saraki's action is good for the nation. For the past sixteen years that PDP held sway, the reason why the country remained under-developed is because after election, comes settlement. Tambuwal started changing that in 2011; of course APC lawmakers were the major actors then and now Saraki. It is bringing god fatherism to end.

Is it not the person working with someone that will know who he wants to work with?

How can people who aren't in the Senate choose Senate leaders? If the people they choose mess up, isn't it those in the red chamber that will suffer?

How can you sit in a party office and select who'll lead a people in a democratic dispensation, just so you can 'settle' your 'boys'?

I like this angle that Saraki is taking. It's far more transparent than the accepted madness that has been going on in Nigeria for so many years.

I don't give a damn about either party at this point, but someone must break this trend. I love this Change
Well spoken my sister

What many people do not know is that these politicians feel they made APC not APC making them
Despite this, the party leaders are obviously helpless and unskilled in governance, their inadequacies have to come to fore, no where to hide now.
My position remains same: APC got power at an immature stage of its life now its evident was never ready for governance
God bless Nigeria, God bless PMB
That is the problem; APC brought this upon themselves. Had it not been that APC wooed those PDP rebels first, they would have decamped to APC with submission & humility but the decamped as lords. This is just the beginning.

But seriously I think Saraki's position on this matter is more democratic and reflects the principles of federal character. We can't afford to shut out regions in the name of party directives.The. APC did not even consider the SE/SS/NC in its position sharing formula.

If we are to have peace in a multi ethnic country like Nigeria, every zone must be represented.
Thank u

If Saraki goes ahead to defy the party, Buhari will still become a sitting duck. We have a Senate controlled by PDP.

Now what the party must do is to limit the power of Saraki only to the Senate. Keep him out of the party.
Did I hear u say limit him to the senate & keep him out of the party? I don't understand. Do you at all understand the power at the disposal of a senate president? I have just detected hipocrisy here. Tambuwal did the same & u guys clapped. What goes around comes around. Note this, Saraki is about to become the most powerful & popular senate president ever. Do u know why? Not because he is a good man but because he has a United 49 behind him. He is practically untouchanble. Live with it.

And Saraki takes his tomfoolery to another level- talk about a dog not heeding its master's whistle.

The man Saraki has risen so high he's gonna hit the ground with a very large thud people miles away would hear it, and when he does he'd be lucking walking with a permanent limp- I see him crawling permanently.

Dude is just disgusting.
Disgusting because things didn't go ur way? U guys are pathetic; the same imposition of candidates that tore PDP apart is what you guys are still encouraging. Well, the most formidable union has taken place between Saraki & PDP. The earlier u start living with it, the better for u, at least for the next four years.

Nigerians should be expecting more of this, since the mr Speaker was highly favored by PDP in his bid to become number one man in the house. Though his party is APC but his mind is in PDP.
Did u read the post at all or do u have comprehension issue? Gbajabiamila violated the house rule by re opening a matter that has been ruled by the speaker. He is just showing that he is on a personal vendetta against the speaker, having lost the post to him. This is not APC/PDP issue but a national one. Thanks.
PoliticsRe: Atiku, Akande Battle For APC BOT Chairmanship by Noblechykk(m): 11:10am On Jun 20, 2015
donphilopus:
Bros, I don't think Lawal, Shehu Sani, Bukar Aba Ibrahim, Marafa and other core Northerners would 'openly' support any of Tinubu's Candidate, if the North were going against him (Tinubu). During the House of Reps' inauguration, Gbajagbiamila garnered 174 votes while Dogara had 182, that means only 43 APC Reps voted (for) Dogara, the rest gave their votes to Gbaja. If the Northerners were against Tinubu, they wouldn't have massively voted his supposed preferred Candidate (Gbaja) against their brother (Dogara). If not for PDP's bloc votes, Dogara wouldn't have won. As long as it involves only APC, Tinubu would continue to floor Atiku!
Religion played its part; Dogara is a christian

This might be ''tactical move ''as a Baron concerned from Kashumu Buruji such that if the case is later adjourned on the 4th of June,he will be sworn-in as a Senator of the Federal Repulic of Nigeria with its attendant Immunity. If this happens that means US has to wait for another 4 years provided he didn"t borrow leaf from David Mark having been waiting since 1994 when the said offence took place or were reported. If he succeeds which I doubt he need to avoid any country friendly to US as a leprosous plague. It's time we revisit the Immunity Clause in our constitution.
Senators have no immunity except inside the chamber.

It is not for her to ask him. Leave that to the people of Rivers state who the money is meant for. As for her, she's answerable to the entire country as our finance minister so she can be queried about how our resources were managed.

You don't expect me to go question your governor about how he deployed his allocations. What you'd say is "how is that your business", and you would be right; it is none of my business.

Lastly, you'd know one is guilty when they start answering questions with questions.
Stop exposing your stupidity here. The state governors have their representatives who are commissioners of finance in their respective states. So they have no right to question her; they should querry their commissioners. Only the Federal lawmakers have such power to question her.

When the destruction of the ND is taking place, the govt will swiftly divert to non oil commodities, more interest in agric, groundut, cocoa, coffee, palm oil ( i hope u know malaysia, that is one of their highest earners of revenue, palm oil which nigeria borrowed them in the 70s, now they are the world largest producer of oil, and i dont need to remind the position of malaysia in the world today. grin )

Infact, the destruction of the ND will be a blessing for us, more interest will be put in minning, i hope u do know nigeria has gold as well in the north and southwest? grin
Your brain needs to be diagnosed. U need money from oil to finance the establishent of those non oil commodities.

The factory workers will not be the rich. The labourers who built the plant were not the rich. The drivers, canteen owners, maintenance men, security staff etc who will keep the plant functioning will not be the rich. All these people mentioned will number in the thousands for this one plant. Also, when the rich buy cars from within Nigeria rather than from outside, they help boost economic activity by circulating the money within the country as opposed to capital flight.
You have just wasted tour mb replying him.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Crisis: APC Lawmakers Gives Terms For Truce by Noblechykk(m): 5:26pm On May 01, 2015
MrMcJay:
At the very worst, once Buhari is sworn in, Fayose loses federal support. Let me now see the thugs at the House complex when there are about 200 Mopol dere.
All they need is one sitting and Fayose is impeached. Once impeached, his security is withdrawn and he proceeds to court. When in court you people can then lay down your lives for him.

APC is bidding its time till around a week or two to
May 29. They won't impeach him earlier than that.
If they do,

1. Fayose would run to the Courts and the court
may grant a ruling which may scuttle the process.

2. PDP would provide him use of the military and
Police to intimidate the Lawmakers.

However, if they impeach him about a week to May
29,

1. It would be too late to get a court ruling to save
him before APC takes over Abuja.

2. The Armed Forces and Police would be too
cautious to lay a finger to defend him for fear of
incurring the wrath of the new powers that be.

Mind you, once Fayose and his Deputy are
impeached, the next person in line to be sworn in as
Acting Governor is the APC speaker. Even if the new
PDP House Members come on board, they can't
rescind the decision of the former house. The best
they can do is to help contribute towards Fayose's
legal fees in Court. Even Fayose's deputy won't be
able to support his boss when the federal might has
been withdrawn.

And you know what, most of the new PDP
Honourables would decamp to APC within 100 days.
It is obvious you watch too much of seaonal movies.

PoliticsRe: Is A Federal Minister Superior To A State Governor Constitutionally? by Noblechykk(m): 2:48pm On Apr 17, 2015
SLIDEwaxie:
I will make this as simple as possible for u guys:

A state govnr is in charge of his state, a minister is in charge of his office that deals with every state of the federation.

A minister of education can say we shall operate a 3-4-5 system of eduction and all the state commissioners who are answerable to the state govnr must comply.

The state will work on regulations while the law will still prevail.

A Govnr seems higher than a minister because he is not answerable to a minster, but indirectly, he is.

Take for example, if the finance minister says all state accounts must be audited every month, no state govnr will refuse to comply. Their finance commissioners must submit an audit of the state to the ministry of finance. The audit must have the ascent of the state govnr so, indirectly, a state govnr answered to a minister.

Think abt it.

So, in recapitulation, a govnr cannot override a minister's order, but a minister can override a state's regulation as long as it doesn't confirm with the laws laid down thru his office.

When I read some comments am ashamed at the kind of mentality some people have. Many of us have lost all sense of morality and decorum.
Here is a man championing free and fair election. He is the governor of the state, yet didnt ask or compel inec to rig for him.
Nevertheless some delinquents and urchins of undignified ancestry will just start posting nonsense and insulting him.
Elections shld be free and fair. You dont need amaechi to tell u that.
What are u saying? U don't understand politics. Wike will win convincingly in a free & fair election. Amexhi is only crying foul because he knows that APC has lost Rivers. Wike is a grassroot politician and if man should take credit for one's political emergence, then, Wike deserves to take credit for Amechi's political success. Amechi is just doing image laundering exercise because delivering ur state as a key party member determines what u get. Marrk my word, the highest Amechi will get is information minister if he loses Rivers which he has practically lost. He deserves it cos he choose a political kid (Peterside) who he can control ahead of another political elephant (Sen. Magnus Abe) who would have given Wike a run for his money. Bro, leave the matter of politics for those with the actual credentials
