Most of the People here advising don't have Visa. My brother, I am not a man of many words but I am angered by your write up. We applicants come here for knowledge, support and to encourage one another in the pursuit of a good life and happiness. The gurus @frankrobbn,@mcobex,@justmellow,@qudkom,@bracha and others not mentioned are very rare selfless individuals who have dedicated themselves to lift the spirits of the wounded soldiers( lemme put it that way). Life is full of disappointment but the zeal to continue to push on is not only individual but collective. I have learnt alot from here, the information here is invaluable. Therefore, do not use negative energy to derail this thread. Even if some of the gurus don't have visas, they have INFORMATION which is the ultimate because if your teachers didn't have information you would not have learnt anything in your school days. I would kindly suggest to the experienced people here to construct one even if it has only subheadings to guide prospective applicants and reduce inclusion of unnecessary information.

Afternoon house. I have a question? Money coming in from a company that I do contracts for such as managing their staff database and updating their staff profiles; can it serve as a good source of income cos sometimes in a week 150k comes in, then other times 200k. It's also a savings account and I don't touch it as I am also fully employed. What documents should I provide to show that I truly have contracts with the company besides my full time employment? |

I told her mum the hour is here Canada just replied and I don’t know if it’s a refusal or approval- she shouted and joined me as I run to my room-. As I was logging into my account my hands were uncontrollably and terribly shaking, My mum kept shouting for grace as my account was loading, lo and behold it’s an approval guys.. we laughed and hugged ourselves . Now, Let me go back and complete my shower will be back for the full testimony.

Bracha: I see. Let's start.
To sell yourself, talk very briefly on your BSc as it isn't of relevance to your future course. You could say you chose Physics because it was the course available at the time, but what you've always wanted was Health Information.
You could then go on to state why you love Health Information Management (HIM) - be concise and straight to the point, no beating about the bush, no love stories.
This is where your stint at the Paediatric hospital comes in; you could say you just couldn't leave HIM, so the first opportunity you got to work in that role, you took it at so and so paediatric hospital. When you left the job, you took this current one at so and so hospital doing all these you mentioned. Don't just mention them, outline and explain them, go into details of what they entail. But remember, be concise. Only the relevant details matter.
Then you say why you chose Canada to pursue it instead of Nigeria, why you chose that school also.
For what you'll do with the course when you return, you could include in your writing that Nigeria doesn't do proper collation of data, this includes health data and statistical analysis. This course could help you do that, also analyse these data and aid tremendously in proffer solutions; this would be done by the medical doctors.
PS: If you decide to use what I have written, please use them in your own words, so one VO looking through this thread won't see my words in your application
Good luck Thanks alot |

Bracha: Why do you want to introduce that previous job? Would its introduction aid the approval of your visa? Is there a link between that job and your current study plan? I have a Bsc in Industrial Physics. The job role at the previous job was Health Records officer. My intended course is Health information Management. What am doing at my current employment has to do with 1)Acquiring, analysing and updating patients health information for clinical study by medical students. 2)Management of the college of Medicine database as well as keeping records of the computer lab supplies and equipment. 3)Coding of different diseases into various classifications to aid research into epidemiology and clinical analysis. |

mcobex: Try to explain how Petroleum engineering is related to Environmental engineering to the vo, it should be well detailed (cos these VOs don't really know these things so you have to present it like you are explaining to a novice). All these should be in a separate LOE(apart from your SOP). Also, make sure you talk about your funding. i.e your LOE should be about your funding and how related petroleum engineering and environmental engineering are(shouldn't be hard at all) Good day all. This issue of reapplication especially the LOE and the SOP sometimes becomes confusing. Some applicants write only one SOP or LOE as the case may be. Some write both. My question is which one comes first in that client information section. Secondly, what are the contents of an LOE and SOP? Thirdly, if they should be separate, does the SOP need a heading like "STATEMENT OF PURPOSE "? Cos applicants that are reaplplying are advised to tackle the reasons on the refusal letter first before introducing the SOP. Cos these are things that often become ambiguous for a reapplying candidate . @Mcobex, frankrobbn and co pls shed some light on this. Thanks |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by nochyks87: 10:48pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
Frankrobbn1: Your mother can transfer the property as a Gift Deed after the demise of your father. Your LOE should state that;
You have an asset in Nigeria which you must return to upon your graduation to continue managing, most notably a building which was gifted/transferred to you by your mother few years ago in 2009 (should be backdated), which you did not include in your initial application because you're being fully sponsored by your mother/brother/uncle (as the case maybe) and you assumed sponsorship covered the need for the applicant to disclose personal assets. You have therefore attached documents evidencing this property in Nigeria etc.....
Please this is just a guide, add more reasonable points to the letter and make it look convincing. Please don't declare that it's your current residential building that was transferred to you when drafting this letter.
Best of luck Thanks alot Mr frank |

Frankrobbn1: A father has the right to transfer his property to any of his dependents. The deed can be backdated and explanation from the applicant should suffice that the said property has been gifted to him/her in consideration of the love and affection the father has for him/her.
As you suggested that the applicant should claim they have been managing the property, which is also acceptable. Though in this case, a written letter from the family's solicitors should be submitted to support the claims that applicant has long been performing this duties and will not abscond to Canada after studies. On this issue of gift deed, in a setting whereby the applicant has been residing at the property and the dad died before even transferring the property to him. And the dad's wish was to have his son inherit the property. Can the mother of the person transfer the property to the son via gift deed after a refusal on personal assets and financial status? This is in reference to my case. Note: the property was not included in the first application that was refused. |

OptimusPrime21: No... wen applying, wea section was asking evidence of work requirement in study... so am asking wat will I put as the evidence I clearly understand what @optimus is asking. If The applicant has a co-op permit attached to his course of study, he has to provide evidence of where it is stated. It can be found on the letter of acceptance. So the applicant should upload the letter of acceptance to that section. That's what I used during my previous application and there was no worries as the school advised me to do so. |

OptimusPrime21: Please for those writing sops, you need your sop to be in bullet form with each talking about a certain aspect... no1 should start with your introduction/background...you full name, date of birth, where you are from, name of your family...where they are from....i see sops with no introductions, no format...just go straight to I am dis, I did this here, I have certificate in this, bla bla bla...thats why vo use vague cos it's vague.
No 2, talk about why you are doing so so course...this is where you try to align your previous degree with wat your intended course, pick some courses in your final year or 3rd year to align with it. Also here is where u talk about your experience, what you have been doing after your degree that pushed u to wanna do so so course. This is where u need to be very very very CONVINCING. Spend more time here than any other place...
No3 and 4, should talk about why canada and why so so school... Google can do that for u...
No5 should be titled Travel history.. here even if u have not left naija before since you were born..you just tell the vo, you haven't been opportune to travel outside of Nigeria before but I have had the chance to travel to (name all the states you have gone to), which gave me the opportunity to experience different cultures and traditions, visit different places. Each time I travelled,I always respected and obeyed the laws, rules and regulationsof the state/country and always returned home because there's no place like home (Nigeria/state).
No 6, the home ties... here pls try to list all the full names of your family and their respective date of birth starting from your dad wat he does, to the last person in the family where all of you are from again. This saves the vo time to start checking for their birth certificates...
Finally, Your plans after studies, this is where you need to actually show you have a plan or something that you tend to offer to Nigeria wen you return (new ideas to improve the economy or employment for people, it can be anything so long it's realistic and possible). This aspect actually helps you to avoid purpose of visit in a way....
If you noticed I didn't include anything concerning how much I have in my account or my sponors cos I believe as long as I submitted a bank statement the vo should look at it there...this avoids the vo focusing so much on how much I am making or have...
Others might have done something different (sops) and got their approvals, but this is how I did mine..you might find it risky, you might not but it worked for me.. also try to grow the habit of praying cos that's the juju you have over the vo...

Qudkom: The first advice I give people reapplying is to avoid rushing the next application. You don't want to appear desperate in your next application. Secondly, it is important to ensure your application correlates with the previous application, you don't want them thinking why didn't he/she attach it in the first application etc.
You need your gcms note to guide you accordingly. You can't also be transferring cash in and out just to show good credit the funds need to be retained that's why it's called a "savings account"and also for any additional documents you'll be adding ensure you state reason why it wasn't in the previous application. All the best. Thanks for your valued contribution. I appreciate |

Morning all.
How can one upgrade his personal SOA though I have a salary account which did not have a substantial balance.
1. Can money be put and withdrawn over a period of time say 4 or 5 months? Cause I know putting a lump sum could raise red flags
OR
2. Should I create a joint account with my wife and deposit money into it as savings account. If I can, then should the statement show only the balance or show months of inflow and outflow?
Thirdly, my dad is late and owned an engineering company. My elder sis and mom were the directors of the company which has two big properties of which am residing in one with my family presently. I discussed with them yesterday after my refusal and they concluded to transfer the properties to me to serve as my personal assets. Do I need power of attorney or transfer of lease ??
Pls @ gurus and anyone with ideas or experiences your input is highly required. God bless |
