Making imports expensive by devaluing the naira, which is what the government has done is one of the most effective tools for achieving increased local production even though there are unfortunate downsides to that policy.

I think we finally have a clever government.

Go to any supermarket, you will see up to 10 different types of imported breakfast cereals, olive oil, this oil and that oil. Even imported can coke, and many more non-essential imports.

We can produce all the corn we need to make different breakfast cereals, but we don't. We have palm oil, groundnut oil etc, and there is nothing wrong with locally produced coke.

These are just few examples of non-essential imports that is killing the naira.

In the future, when we are producing more and the economy is in a better condition, may be these things can be imported.

For now, we can go back to eating yam, beans etc for breakfast. People did this in the past, it didn't kill them.

People are at Liberty to Migrate however they so wish. The problem I have is with the Dumb Nigerians who after migrating starts insulting and cursing their Countries of Origin. Motherfvcker!! Even if you stay in the UK or Canada for 3000 years, they will never consider you one of them. You will always be "the black monkey from a Shitty African Countries" according to them. Implement a housing tax regime of 15% rental value of every house in Nigeria

We have a minimum of 20 million house with a rental value average of say 1 million pet year that's 150,000 x 20,000,000
.. That's 3 trillion

Use this money to give to banks to create a housing mortgage system... Banks can build develop housing low income houses in regions that needs them

Blocks of flash 2 bedroom and 3 bedrooms... Going for 10 million to 20 million each... With a good credit score and 20% down payment you can get a Margate at 5% interest rate for 20 years... So for 15 million house

You would be paying 790k mortgage per year plus your 15% rental value tax

This 3 trillion can build 250,000 flats and generate generate close to 20 billion I'm rental tax to government

Plus additional 50 billion tax from profits from banks
70 billion minimum per year and about 200 billion loan repayment

So you have 270 billion yearly now yo build more flats to sale and boom in 10 years the system can generate over 3 trillion yearly for the government
