Politics › Re: Restructuring Nigeria Will Make No Difference - Osinbajo by nonjebose(m): 5:00pm On Jul 11, 2016 |
ugohemma: If u ask me, One of the greatest gain in fiscal federalism is State police. Imagine a governor waiting for a commissioner in Abuja to signal the ones in Benue to attack criminals that is operating in his backyard. And another is Power, Places like Lagos should have 24hrs power supply cos I know with their revenue they can do it , but when we want all part of Nigeria to develop at once, using the scope of a federating unit then we would all sit down and wait for the federating unit to do their Magic, Like we are waiting for them in Power and dollar exchange.
One Politician from the North heading NDDC stuff, was on AIT shouting Nigeria is indisolable in the sense that all part of Nigeria will contribute and build every region till Nigeria flow with milk and honey, I was like what are some people thinking.. In 100 yrs to come some states In North cannot be Like Lagos and some states in south. It cant happen.
So it should be like these... Allow states to develop with its Resources. To re install peace, we have to support state police so that we can tackle security problem from grassroot It will also help in tackling corruption. Imagine when everybody is blaming Buhari(federal unit) whereas the problem is from their state . All they need is take their complain to their state not central where matters are already congested.
I stand to be corrected , But Osibanjo can't do anything if his Boss Buhari is against the move. You stand to be supported. Osinbajo knows what restructuring is no doubt, but his boss is against it. Restructuring is long over due. The centre would not lose all its authority to oversee the accountability of federating states |

I wonder whether there is no striker on the entire Portuguese bench. If there is none, they should send Figo down to lisbon to look for one before 2nd half. France will finish them off |

Politics › Re: Nigerian And Indian Firm Agree On Ajaokuta Steel Company by nonjebose(m): 10:48am On Jul 09, 2016 |
Easyruns: Nigerian I want to bring to your remembrance that the Delta Steel company in Ovwian Aladja in Delta State is still in ruins and the Warri sea port and railway lines running from the stellar plant to connect other states is abandon and yet the government is planning to bring back Ajakuta steel plant? My people time out time to visit the Delta Steel plant and you will know that Ajakuta plant is learning. I did my IT there in 1998 and I wept bitterly when I saw massive infrastructure been wasted. For your information the Delta Steel plant is close to sea for easy export and was build to manufacture cars, engine blocks etc....and many Nigerians was sent abroad for training but many of them came back wasted away and even died without seeing the aim of the steel plant achieve. This marginalization of the south south should stop. Planning to waste our resources to find oil in lake chad is foolishness of the highest order but all of you should remember that what goes around comes around. Long live the Golden Hen of the Nigeria's economy..The Niger-Delta How would DSC survive, when Ajaokuta never lived. Iron from Ajaokuta is needed for steel at DSC for onward exportation |
