An opinion by definition is a view/judgement about something, thus, an opinion has attached to it a certain degree of subjectivity. Using it as a defense only works in certain situations.

For instance, there is no way you can argue with me if I were of the opinion that Jackie Chan is a shitty actor. You might be of a different opinion, but since my opinion is based on subjectivity, I'm allowed to stick to it. But you have all the right to argue with me if I were of the opinion that Titanic didn't happen, since there is overwhelming pop-culture references and documentations to show there is practically no subjectivity in my "opinion" that Titanic never happened. It's a straightup fallacy. I don't know if you understand where I'm going with this.

If everyone is entitled to their opinion is to infer that no one has the right to stop people thinking and saying whatever they want, then we are royally f**ked as a civilization.

Bottom line, you entitled to have an opinion, but only as long as you're able to reasonably argue for it with evidence. Argue critically, criticize rationally, and with evidence. Thank you.

dude, you need to jam people in real life not the internet, they will piss you off when they are defending their favourite movie. You self you will start to wonder if its truly the same movie you watched. All what you are saying can't hold water near them. unless you will be buying the games i suggest you try them yourself and see if they are good enuff for u. ive been using a graphics card for a while now and have grown accustomed to the graphics dey produced. i cannot do with intel igp hd4000, but maybe you can. but im very sure it wont be favourable so im going to say no. as for pcsx2 pls dont try it. even though pcsx2 and most emultors use cpsus alot, it requires a competent graphics processor. by brute force alot a gtx 280 a dx 10 gpu is much more capable than the hd4000.

if you r serious, pls forget that laptop and get a desktop, even an i3 as a starter....dnt get a dell desktop tho, they are too customised. otherwise live with de fact that it wnt play much.

No sir. its quite impossible. normal laptops are not made with customisation in mind. you see how compact it is? its barely getting cooled as is, imagine slotting a gpu that produces heat than any computer component in there. you have to accompany your lappy with liquid nitrogen. Also the igp cannot be removed since it comes with the cpu, and there are no slots to push in another.

like i stated before there are mods but its not worth it, charley (yeah im part of the charley people lol)

Can it run any windows game that came out before 2010? Or is there a way for me to know what it can run? Then emulation, a laptop emulating game consoles, how important is the graphic card in this regard? Cause I want to run pcxs, a ps2 emulator on my lappy. graphics card or GPU is a dedicated hardware that is not only used to display on your screen like the guy above me has stated, but to render heavy graphical tasks, that otherwise would take the CPU days to complete on the same scale (gaming and 3d graphics works). Its not to be confused with a VGA card. These days the graphics card does a lot more though, like physics taking some of the grunt work from the cpu.

there used to be more manufacturers of the graphics card(matrox, s3) but now there are only two major ones with intel being a distant third; ie AMD radeon series and Nvidia geforce series. There is also the quadro series for Nvidia used solely for rendering and 3d work.

eg of such graphics cards are gtx 1080ti and Rx 580 for Nvidia and Amd respectively.

the stronger the graphics card, the more expensive dey are, in respect to their generations.

people seem to confuse ram size with power, thats a poor notion, dont be tricked. A little bit of research goes a long way. Knowing the model name of the graphics card ypu are buying is very important..If you only see something like "Nvidia 4gb graphics card for sale" please inquire about the model name and google it. i use tomshardware or reddit for clarification.

ps: intel's "graphics cards" are not really graphics cards. they are what is known as igps (integrated graphics processors) not to be confused with AMDs solution of APU (accelerated processing unit). AMDs solution is usually better on the graphical side.

My brother! That Brazilian telenovela was the real deal back then. My Mum was a huge fan and I remember always watching it with her every week on the local channel. How can I ever forget the drama surrounding Ruth and her evil twin, Raquel, and of course Marcus!

Anyhoo, the whole thing is on Dailymotion. It's in brazilian portuguese tho. Oh, and it's portuguese name is Mulheres de Areia.

The Leftovers is fantastic. But I do understand why some people might not take it to. Just recently, I recommend a show very much like it in overall bleakness, but some people came here to insult the show and I for being crap. I laughed at their ignorance because the soul of the show obviously went over their heads - they simply couldn't understand it, because of the complexities involved. The Leftovers has similar effect on people, and only folks that like complex shows with non-linear mode of storytelling will get it. It's very niched.

Portuguese!! That's not good enough. Yeah I remember all the characters. And who could forget Mali and cowboy, that problematic couple and the retarded sculptor, tonio Dalua. And please what's the name of the show similar to the leftovers?

Well, I started watching TV series from the time I was old enough to comprehend what's going on. I remember Secret Of The Sands being my favorite back when I was 7  years old. A story about two twin sisters, a dashing young rancher and a mentally challenged man. You should look it up, it's pretty good. One of my oldest memories.

Passion, Full House and Friends were also pretty huge back then, and later, Buffy, Dark Angel, Egola: Place of Gold, and eventually, Oz which forever changed my perception in tv shows. Naturally, I started seeking shows just as meaningful and hardcore. Prison Break, The Shield, Six Feet Under, The X-files, Masters Of Horror, The Sopranos, Lost, Sons Of Anarchy, Heroes, The Wire, 4400, 24, etc were worthy thrills.

I was also a big fan of fantasy and the supernatural (remnants of my Buffy days I guess), thus I took an instant liking to Supernatural, which incidentally made me take an interest in it's producers, the WB (now the CW), and I got exposed to teen and young adult dramas like One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, Gilmore Girls, Hart of Dixie, Melrose Place and Nikita.

Eventually, I took a dislike to teen dramas, and by extension the CW, and by extension, all their shows as I moved on. The cable channel, Syfy was and still is a worthy replacement. And for good reasons too, because that's where I became exposed to sci-fi classics like Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Caprica and Santuary.

Then, I became more selective of tv shows. Invariably, I found myself more and more likely to watch HBO, FX, AMC, Showtime and lately, Netflix shows, much more than the NBC, FOX, ABC and CBS shows, because of the quality content more prevalent on the former. The shorter seasons also play a big part as I would rather watch quality than quantity.

Seems to me you've been away from the tv series scenes for awhile. My advice, stick to shows similar to the ones that you mentioned and work up your way to the ones that are more complex. Don't jump right in to shows like Breaking Bad & The Leftovers cuz you'll go running for the hills back to your movies (yeah, I know you're a movie guy).

abeg! Where on earth can someone get secrets of the sands to download? Was a huge fan of it back then as a kid. And leftovers was sick. It beats me how people talk sh!t about it.

Both are good in their own ways, but Top Of The Lake kinda edges it as it has more binge allure. You're more likely to watch it all in one sitting than you would The Fall.
