So, they built a tower so that they go go to heaven and not be scattered all over the earth. Why did they think that they might be scattered? In making a name for themselves, who were they trying to impress?

Where did the lord come down from? Was he in the upstairs loo taking a dump? He had to physically go down and see the city? Was this before the lord was omnipresent?

Wasn't the Lord already down (see verse 5)? Who is he talking to? Who was he trying to get to accompany him?

What happened to the Lord's buddies he was chatting with in verse 7? Were they unimpressed with is plan and left him to go at it alone? What does that last part even mean?

"9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."
Who called the city Babel if everyone was scattered? Was everyone scattered and alone? Were there groups of two, three, or twenty? What determined this number? Did people get to take there personal possessions? If not, how did they have their tea (without their tea pots)? In addition to this, how many languages were there? Five? Twenty? Ten-thousand? Was anything of their original language written down?

This would be good story if my five-year-old made it up. Well, it would be cute to see the little bugger trying to make sense of the world. If it was not made up by a child, it had to be written by primitive, backwards people who had little understanding of the world. It would be shameful for a modern adult to actually believe this.

Why do Christians hate the Monkey God Hanuman if they do not think he exists?
