VO- Visited those places while in Malaysia?
VO- Okay, Have you ever travelled outside the country? Oh sorry I already asked....
I think visiting those places while in Malaysia didn't count for much. I think you need more travel history that involves you leaving and returning to Nigeria.
I also think you need stronger ties because you are going up against the United States and Canada.
I think I understand how you feel. Being refused a Visa by the United states is a thing. I think I like your sense of humor. Don't let anything take away your joy.

Medicine after death.... They should first instruct Nigeria Embassies oversea to start refunding visa fees for those they refuse.
Lol. Reciprocity.

If only they knew that the Nigerian government was issuing 1 year visa to Americans while the US government was issuing two years visa.

If only they knew that the reason why we don't get 5 year visa is because of the greed of our government.

If only they knew....

Lol. I wonder how someone who doesn't know the Visa fees, knows that we "Yab" people on this thread for asking such questions.

It means that such a person has actually read the thread but still decided to ask anyway.

Lolz! Of course.... But then, it seems they have decided to tell us stylishly to search for our wares elsewhere as they can no longer cope with our "vast market", our patronage is overstretching their resources.... I think I like the approach sha, our peeps gat to encounter some deliberate speed bumps/breakers else we take everything south soonest!
I heard they used to have a wait period of 3 or 6 months at one time. Only for them to later open the gates and the flood came rushing in.

We can be eligible for Visa lottery again if fewer than 50,000 immigrate to the United States in a 5 year period.

I havent really started, I just started filling Ds-160. The travel experience is the main issue here.
Travel history isn't the the only factor considered. Some were refused for lack of it, others got their visa without it. Read through the thread and make up your own mind.

What is the worst that can happen if you don't get the Visa?

I am really curious because everyone was hailing the interview transcript. I wished I had read it before you took it down. sad

Politics › Re: MKO Abiola: Dele Momodu Reacts To Buhari’s Declaration by NothingDoMe: 10:36am On Jun 07, 2018
Omeokachie:
PDP (OBJ and GEJ administrations) missed a golden opportunity to honour MKO for his great contributions in the struggle for our democracy, by not declaring June 12 as democracy day.

They were more concerned about what the reaction of the North would be to such a declaration.

Today, Buhari has done it not because he appreciates MKO's contribution, but for desperation to hold on to power.
What has been the reaction of the north? Silence!!!

Because it has come from one of their own and they cannot be seen to fight a man that can drag everything down with him using state apparatus in such a fight.

Lesson to Southerners, do that which you know is right irrespective of what the majority (north) may think. Political correctness sometimes needs to be ignored when doing the right thing is concerned.
Well said

the thing tire me out, it was fellow in the inland security at the airport who advised them on that move as he cannot guarantee that they will scale through the immigration guys, the man and his wife were there last year and were planning to take the kids along for vacation this time around mind you the kids got their own visas a few weeks ago . It's so discouraging to hear of all these happenings I might even put off my trip till next year as things are.
This information doesn't seem too far fetched when compared to a lady's Chicago POE story in the birth thread. I felt like personally apologizing and hugging her after reading that story. I know she got the Visa for a different purpose and decided to use it for birthing but still the insult nor be here. I wonder why Chicago is notorious for these type of stories. Is it because it is close to Canada?

To say my comments are doing harm is laughable. If I didn't exist, there would still be thousands streaming to the Canadian border to seek asylum. The biggest problem with Nigeria are those who think everything is fine, all we need is more prayer and that being Nigerian means accepting dishonesty as a way of life. Those are what foreigners tend to remember.
This situation is reminiscent of the song titled The Sound of Silence which was masterfully covered by the artist Disturbed.

For 400 years there was silence until John came to disturb the silence. John the Baptist was seen as an extreme case in the bible but his extreme reaction was a by product of Israel's action. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. John the Baptist never took it easy on them. They trekked all the way to be baptized by him only to hear: You brood of vipers! Lol. I can almost imagine the look on their faces. They will be like we came to you for help na, why you come dey attack us again? The reason was simple. Baptism without repentance is just taking a bath.

That being said, I strongly disagree with those who say TWOODS is denting the image of this country. I seriously beg to disagree fa. You can only cover up something that happens in your house. Our case is an internationally escalating one. Everyday Nigerians do this and Nigerians do that. We need to keep talking to ourselves. Let the international communities come here and read it. Let them know that we have taken ownership of it.
