i don't understand Nigeria's economy, everytime on fp I see people saying things like Nigeria's economy is dead, our economy will soon collapse, Nigeria is running on auto pilot and similar stuffs. But out of curiosity today I decided to check the GDP rank of all the countries and too my suprise the Nigerian economy improved a lot from the last time I checked. The last time I checked Nigeria was the 36th biggest economy with a GDP of 400 billion+ and slightly higher than that of isreal, but now we're the 27th biggest economy and with a GDP of 555 billion which is a very big change if I must say so myself.

now to the reason I created this post, how is our economy failing according to most people?
I'm confused, I need an answer.

To me I wonder if hatred can generate electricity? I love northerners, they are nice people. But their political elites are really very mischievous. Same way with Igbos, they just love to have fun and enjoy their lives, but most of their political leaders are all sell out. Anywhere Igbo man travel to they try as much to make that place conformable for themselves. Have you experienced anywhere were Igbos are attacking their host communities? Dangote is very rich, though there are a lot of extremely wealthy Igbo men who like to remain underground due to perceived witch-hunting by those in political power. It's difficulty to surpass Dangote's level of wealth, except those into ICT. Presently Dangote is richer than any Igbo man, but if the government created a level playing ground for all I don't think Dangote will ever have gotten to this level. Same way there is quota system and also elevating certain regions above others, then tomorrow they will start boasting on how they have achieved greater heights without giving credit to the unjust favouritism. I see those who engage in meaningless tribal trolling as kids, because they still eat "mama thank you food" when reality set on them, they will know that if one continues with hatred/tribalism one will go hungry. If tribalist are really serious in their hatred/tribalism, they should stop receiving services such as medical assistant, trading partnerships, vehiclular maintenance, etc from the people they hate so much. If I were to be Dangote, I will spread my investment all round the country to gain trust.

I agree with you, those tribal people are most likely kids because now in Lagos the estate I live in is full of mostly igbos but I've never had any problem with them, they come to my house to chill I go to theirs too. The only people that I've received discrimination from was when I was still in school and sometimes when I go to the market. But most igbos in the market are good people, some of them can even speak hausa sef, but they are some that are just bitter or angry. Eliminating tribalism in Nigeria will lead to great things and make Nigeria great again.

Dangote investments are all over the country, not just in Nigeria. he has multiple factories in 10 other African countries not just NIGERIA, so I don't see how it's the government that helped him get where he is. Nigeria have not been able to maintain a refinery, but Dangote is building one that when completed it will be one of the biggest in the world.

Wow so much hate in one post. It's like you don't know how rich the eastern region is. Have you asked yourself what so special in Imo state that they must be checked mate properly? Why are they not check mating other northern states that have crises? It all boils down to oil and gas wealth. At times I wonder if all these hateful acts can ever be used to develop the country. Nobody hates Dangote, but a lot of people dislike him because of all the favorable policies implemented by the government just to favor his businesses. The government is supposed to set up a level playing field to promote competition and capitalism, instead they have a different set of rules for their friends and the elitists. Dangote industries is basically a monopoly all thanks to the government. I will advise them to dissolve all his companies, we don't need title of richest Black man, it doesn't benefit the masses.

even article 26 of the ICCPR states that:

Article 20 of the ICCPR further states that "any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law."

and that guy obviously broke the law because he knew that his religious hatered will lead violence. he knows that Muslims take their religion seriously and he still went ahead to provoke them. you don't see Muslims going around burning bibles or doing things that can hurt the Christians but you speak of tolerance he obviously can't tolerate the fact that Muslims are in his country doing things like normal people and trying to live a good life.
