Fellow Nairalanders, irrespective of our religious affiliations, let's say these words of prayer for our dear Nation Nigeria. Visions, revelations and such other divine manifestation further represent the love of God for his people by always alerting them to do the needful. Friends, please pray against external aggression on Nigeria. The airspace of Nigeria will not be hijacked for evil mission in Jesus name. No lethal cylinder of poisonous gas will explode on our fields in Jesus name. The year will not close or begin with national tragedy in Jesus name. We will live in peace in our homes and not as refuges in internally displaced peoples' camps in Jesus name. Nigeria intelligence department will be divinely guided to function at optimal alertness to counter every evil scheme against the peace of Nigeria in Jesus name. Nigeria you are blessed, your land will not become a field of mass burial of your citizens in Jesus name. Shalom in Jesus name. Peace! |

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde, has been appointed Emeritus Professor of Education at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, becoming the second ever to attain that position in the university’s Faculty of Education, after the late Emeritus Professor Babatunde Fafunwa. The appointment, which was made by the university’s Governing Council and communicated to Professor Ojerinde, midweek, allows him to be a permanent member of staff at the university, taking lectures once in a while and supervising students, though without financial commitments. Though Ojerinde, a professor of Education Tests and Measurement at the university, had been on several national assignments at various times till now, beginning with the National Primary Education Commission, where he was the pioneer Director of Monitoring and Evaluation and Centre for Educational Measurement before he established the National Board for Educational Measurement in 1992, he remained with OAU until 2008. The Igboho, Oyo State-born professor became the pioneer Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examination Council in the late 90s, serving in that capacity for two terms before assuming his current position as JAMB Registrar in 2007, a post in which he is also spending a second term. Ojerinde, while speaking on the appointment, said he was grateful to God for reaching the pinnacle of his academic career, noting that he will continue to do more for the uplift of education in the country and humanity in general. |

Blind man, how will you see? "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" My advice to the drunk and myopic man, "stop drinking alcohol, get good and functional eye lenses, avoid solitude, surround yourself with optimistic people, and again stop drinking alcohol" suddenly life will be better for you. |
