genieluv: I have posted my picture before. Ask your fellow Kenyans here. How many times do I have to drive this to you?
***** A slum is only a slum when it is a community of it's own. 2 or 3 slum looking streets in an entire suburb cannot make that entire suburb a slum.
You have sounded this, time without number to Kenyans. So I don't think you need to keep on stressing it out with them. Only an irredeemable fool will call an entire suburb a slum just because of some slummish streets in that suburb.
For instance, I live in Ekpan (a suburb of Warri city). Look at these 4 google satelite pics below of Ekpan, you can see that the first neighbourhood of the suburb looks slummish, but the other parts do not.
I know the slummish parts very well, that's where many of the indigenes live, they are mostly old family houses. However, most of these old houses have boreholes and modern toilet facilities. They are just irregularly built (exactly as they were many decades ago). Now people like NairobiWalker and gallivant will say we should call the entire Ekpan a slum, just because some streets look slummish. Sometimes I just wonder how their brains work.
But don't console your self by trying to make us feel as northern Nigeria is in a different country or the old stories of coup,
It's only from the last decade that your country has swindled in almost all the positive spheres
On cars ownership per capita, what u just stated is blatant lies, Ken 1000/30. NIG 1000/20...
But what matters most is How many of you lives below poverty line by %ge What percentage of you can read and write? How about reliable electricity supply? Which %ge of child mortality do you have per 1000 How about security, how safe are you(remember this is about the entire country, no North or South) What about your gen healthcare services? How competent is your economy? How diversified is it? How innovative are you? Where do you rank in Africa? How about the ease of doing business?
Kenya beats you in all of the latter.
Your population should be your advantage, it's a liability bcz it's not educated, unempowered...and the list is endless
It's been proven here that most of your economic sectors can only produce twice as that of Kenya, and your population is ×4, that shows one Kenyan is twice as economically productive than a Nigerian
We also have our poor northern part
We have always told you guys times without number to never compare your northern parts with those of Nigeria.
Core-northern Nigeria commands 35% of Nigeria's population, while Northern Kenya only commands 10% of Kenyan population. That's a huge difference.
genieluv: Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year to everyone who has been part of this thread from the beginning till now. I love you all
@ ednited, Hati13(my horn african sweethearts ) TayserMahiri aka TashaMaria rvp20182/3 & mtisTheQubit (the both of you have to many monikers ), nowenuse (my partner in love for music, fashion & cultures ) NairobiWalker (my mortal enemy and also my secret crush ) forgiveness (the sky scrapper lover and Kenyan lies busting machine ) Kazikazi (the one man Tanzanian army who helped us understand East Africa better) SufferNSmiling (The Nigerian wannabe ) Obaaderemi, Kur17, etc
***** We will always fight to disagree, but let us continue to have 'one big African love' for each other as we strive to make Africa the next China of the world. I hope we all live to see Africa progress as a whole and comparing shoulders with the rest of the world in our lifetime ******
Thanks, wishing you the same dear
One big African love? I doubt that will ever exist. Even people within the same countries in Africa do not love each other.
Africa can never be united as China because we were never united in the first place, not even before the colonialists came. The chinese have always been united as a people for thousands of years by different dynasties.
Kazikazi: Most hinterland Tanzanians don't speak Swahili as Kenyans.Tanzanians are more fluency. There are many factors which led to that.
In a single sentence we say Tanzania as you put it is more "swahilized" than Kenya.just imagine..
There is no print media or any broadcaster who uses a language apart from English and Swahili. While in Kenya you have Kikuyu, jaluo etc being used in media
Under Nyerere socialism policies, all rural people were forced to form villages. Some they were forced to form villages with different tribes. So Swahili became the only language to communicate
Up to this day, its awkward for a Tanzanian to speak a tribal language in public.its like a taboo, while in Kenya a dude can speak his Kikuyu in Nairobi
Tanzania's primary schools uses Swahili, while its English in Kenya.
I can't mention everything. Its obvious that a guy from interior of Tanzania like myself is by far a better Swahili speaker than a kenyan.
This is nothing but the undiluted truth. Genieluv, I wonder why you keep wasting your time debating with hateful liars like NairobiWalker or TashaMaria (TayserMahiri) on the issue of swahili.
Even the blind can see the differences. Kazikazi has made himself clear times without number. You cannot compare Tanzanians most of whom now speak swahili as their first and only language with Kenyans who also speak their native languages very well.
Can you compare the Hausa spoken by people in Katsina state (native speakers) with the hausa spoken by people in Taraba (non native speakers)? Just the same way native Hausas and Hausanized people who have abandoned their native languages for Hausa speak far more beautiful and fluent hausa than someone from Adamawa who was born speaking fulani or Bachama but learnt Hausa later on. There can never be a comparison.
Kenyans so desperately want Tanzanians to be classified just like them, but it just wouldn't work.
genieluv: You see Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba. That belt is such a bundle of natural beauty with so much beautiful natural features. I wonder when these states will start thinking tourism.
****** Jos is currently the coldest place in West Africa right now. Infact, in all of Sub saharan Africa, only Ethiopia/Eriterea experience colder temperatures.
Don't worry, when I become the governor of Plateau state, I would invest in tourism
Are you sure about Jos being the coldest city in West Africa? Desert cities in Mali & Niger republic should be colder if I'm not mistaking.
genieluv: Comparing pictures of corrupt African politicians' wives is nothing but a show of shame to me. Wives of thieves who have rubbed us dry and used tax payers monies to embark on expensive cosmetic surgeries and what have you. ****** It' best to compare everyday citizens of both countries. Are you guys saying you don't have enough everyday beautiful women to compare Nigeria?
Damn, beauty is all I see. Nigerian women are truly the most beautiful in Africa.
obaaderemi: No, we must thank barcanister-whatever for opening the thread although he meant to rubbish Nigeria before lower foreigners. It backfired and the Kenyans, Ghanaians, black South African kaffirs and a few third columnist Nigerians have suffered on this thread. It has shown many that in spite of Nigeria's many problems, there's still a lot to thank God for and a lot for which Nigerians must be respected. As the thread approaches the end of the year I must commend the efforts of legitimate Nigerians here(not the few bastards ) for uplifting their country and exposing the Kenyans. Heck, the Kenyans were so pissed off and uptight some of them were even beating each other up in front of Nigerians they were supposed to be fighting. It was hilarious. Nigeria is not doing well but we are far from being out. There is hope and its blinding, if not why would all of Africa be here discussing Nigeria. Our Country Nigeria Is The Giant Of Africa in Seun of nairaland's voice. The Kenyans see that legend each time they log in and they go mad but they cannot escape. We are in their lives. Happy Xmas in advance, everyone.
TayserMahiri: Not people from West Africa but rather weirdos like nowe and genie In case you didn't know, we aren't into sweet nothings. We are like those brilliant scientists with unkempt hair and no socks but we achieve super intelligent stuff like bloody Einstein!. Tanzanians barely have a recognizable Swahili scholar. Their work is to take selfies. Kenyans author the Swahili books they read in Tanzania.
We don't have one international airport like Kenya does.
We have 7 international airports. 4 are major airports.
Kenya has one international airport serving 60m people. Bhuhahahaha!
In all sense of reasoning, I don't think Nigeria should ever be comparing Kenya. I seriously blame Nairaland and the person who made this thread.
Nigeria should compare EAC if for any reason. Now I highly doubt that Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda combined will have up to 7 international airports.
rvp2018: We settled that debate- we have about the same money in gov coffers as you have - therefore you cannot build anything we cannot build. We have build 5 international aiports with at least 1Km for landing and take-off. We have so many airstrips - and airports. KAA who are in charge of our airports - will determine which airport to build next. Probably Nakuru will make it Six International Airports.
Apart from passengers - if we go to Air Cargo - you'll be so dead.
You call those gas filling stations of yours airports? Absolute thrash. How many international flights do Mombasa and other airports handle on their own?
rvp2018: Its a pretty good indicator. Banking is about money. You entire banking systems has 100B dollars to lend/invest to 200M people. Ours have 40B to lend to 50M. South Africa has 370B to lend to 60M. Which one do you think is superior. It better to lose an argument but to lose your dignity in the process is idiotic. You're becoming another forgivness idiot.
As for more banks - that pretty idiotic argument - yes kenya has more banks (45) than Nigeria (18) than South Africa(6) - but we know that doesn't mean more banking - unless you look at say branch network - etc. South Africa with fewer banks are more banked. It's about the asset the banks has, the bank density, atm density, channels, the amount of muscle they back - to support small and big projects - bla de bla.
As Nigeria lose - You're also loosing your mind.
You guys just never learn. This was the same way you were spreading false facts on how Nigerian telecom sector was worth $4b until you were disgraced by facts that showed that our telecoms sector was worth $12b while yours was $2b
TayserMahiri: Ok. Keep making noise. We are too busy making Swahili famous to notice. Kelele za chura
Foolishness. People from West Africa are noticing and commending the beauty of Tanzanian swahili and you are there feeling fly with the nonsense you guys speak as swahili? What a joker.
genieluv: So you ignored the decimal numbers? Shamelesness at it's peak! You still have the mouth to argue after you have been disgraced with facts.
***** Read my lips, I am done with arguments of shamelesness! Even a child reading through this argument can clearly see that there are many more factors that determine life expectancy other than prosperity. Like nowenuse has said, only irredeemable idiots will celebrate that their country is more progressive than others because of a higher life expectancy. Same idiots that will want us to stoop so low as to comparing standards of living between Cuba and USA just because Cuba has a higher life expectancy than the USA.
Ya isa yar'uwa. Karki bar irin wainan wawaye su ba ki haushi.
The shameless behaviours displayed by these kenyans here will be seen by their children.
You can imagine this slowpoke after being presented with facts which makes useless of all his assertions, yet still has the mouth to argue.
@NairobiWalker, okay we agree than Kenya is more progressive than Nigeria because Kenya has a higher life expectancy. Just the same way Senegal is more progressive than Kenya and South Africa and Cuba is more progressive than the USA.
genieluv: Can you yourself tell me what category of stupid this makes you fall into? Thanks Obaaderemi
Hahaha, you have killed NairobiWalker with this.
Let him come and explain to us why Senegalese live longer than Kenyans
Just like Obaaderemi described NairobiWalker, he is a punch drunk boxer who just keeps on coming back for more punches. I have watched how you keep destroying him from post to post. Keep it up, I'm proud of you.
Only an irredeemable idiot will say life expectancy is directly proportional to progress. While life expectancy can be linked to progress, there are many more other factors that can clearly override the influence of prosperity on life expectancy.
NairobiWalker, we are still waiting for you to tell us why Senegalese live longer than Kenyans. Your failure to do this makes you an irredeemable nincompoop! Only an apology can save you here.
genieluv: Hahahaha, Ok, no more Northern beauties.
***** I dare all you Kenyans to show me one Kenyan lady as gorgeous as Delta state (Southern Nigerian) born Oghene Karo
Cc mtisTheQubit, rvp20183
Hahaha, do you want to kill NairobiWalker and other Kenyans? Where do you expect them to find a woman as beautiful as Oghene Karo in all of Kenya? Even if they borrow from Ethiopia, it would still be a staggering defeat!
NairobiWalker: Do Fulanis have a language? Now that they all speak Hausa, what happened to their own language?
Not all fulanis have been Hausanized. All the fulani herdsmen (fulani bororo) in Nigeria are far from being Hausanized, they are even far from being islamized.
Among the fulani gida (town fulanis), it is only those of the North-west (Hausa land) that have been overwhelmingly Hausanized. Those of the North-east (about 7 million) still speak fulfude (their native language).
genieluv: Yes, Pure Hausas are dark skinned. However, most pure Hausas are found in rural areas. ***** Most Urban and educated Hausas are mixed with fulanis and that's how the light skin largely rubbed off on them.
>>> Believe me, it's almost impossible to find an urban educated hausa without a drop of fulani blood.
I disagree with what you told NairobiWalker. Even in the rural areas, the intermix with Hausas and Fulanis is also high. Besides, do you mean that light skin seen among Hausas is exclusively a fulani trait? I don't believe that cos there are many dark skinned fulanis and naturally light skinned Hausas.
Look at this picture of rural Hausa girls from Kaduna below, you can see the 3rd one from the left to right is lighter skinned than the rest, so, will you say she is a pure hausa or a fulani mix?
mtisTheQubit: Man what’s wrong with you. You know its kind of ths posts where I totally believe you are Genie gal..You guys ya know a lot about other countries than their natives. Dude ya arguing about india with an Indian. Same here ya other moniker is arguing about east Africa stuff with an east African. That’s just plain stupid..
Are you just being stupid or what? Aren't you guys arguing about Nigeria with we Nigerians? The fact that someone is from a country does not automatically mean everything he says about his country is the gospel truth. There is something call Blind patriotism/nationalism in case you do not know !
Google Hindustani and Urdu/Hindi and see if there is anything wrong with what we are saying.
genieluv: My mistake, I actually meant Hindustani instead of Hindi. ***** I learnt that Hindi is the sanskritized version of Hindustani. So, I actually meant Hindustani of which both Hindi and Urdu are part of. Do you now understand?
Just for the records, I'm not a bro, I'm a lady.
nemesis8u should have understood that you were clearly referring to Hindustani when you said Hindi. Even I understood your point.
Hindi of today is like an artificial language created by Hindu nationalists in order to fight against the presence of Arabic and Persian words in Hindustani. Courtesy of the bad blood between Pakistanis and themselves.
Hahahahaa, genieluv is a mini encyclopedia when it comes to cultures, histories, civilizations, arts and peoples. I thought I knew much about these things until I met her and discovered she was a history student.
To be honest, I've never seen a Nigerian lady so knowledgeable on these kind of things, except it's their field of study.
genieluv: The chances of you finding a Hausa person in Kenya are very slim, so I really don't believe this.
-------There is no face of Naija. The truth is that the major difference in Nigerian faces is mostly divided into Southern & Northern Nigeria.. .... Northern Nigerians tend to have a simpler, rounder and more 'feminine' face compared to southern Nigerians. ****** However, that doesn't mean there are no simpler, rounder and feminine faces in the south and no broader faces in the north.
°°°°°For instances, most Kenyans accept the faces they see on Nollywood to be the perfect representation of Nigerian faces. Forgetting that most Northerners look like this.
Genie, so where do we in Central Nigeria fall. North or South? Gaskiya kina brge ni da wanan magana.
genieluv: Ok NairobiWalker, let's put childishness asides and be factual. ****** Here in Nigeria, there are non hausas who now identify as Hausas because they have been subsumed under Hausa culture and language. They've abandoned their own ancestral languages and now speak hausa as a mother tongue. I think this is the exact case with Kazikazi. Many Tanzanians seem to have been subsumed by swahili language and culture, to the extent that they now see themselves as part of it. Going by this, don't you think they should be able to claim swahili nativity? Thanks.
>>>> Afterall, the Arabs of North Africa and the Levantine were never originally arabs, but were arabized. Today, they claim to be arabs and the world considers them such.
Genie, are you really sure?
Almost every Hausanized person still knows his/her original tribe and may not claim to be Bahaushe (original hausa man) in the midst of Hausa speakers.
mtisTheQubit: yap about that ya keep on posting similar stuff..ya middlebeltas,ya post the same photos...speak hausa..like TZ stuff..droll on Kenyan progress..serious there is something cooking here
