This thread was about how the bible being banned was equal the bible being true. But we showed u that many other fictional works are banned at one time or another too. That should mean they are also true too.

Then u somehow veered into Voltaire scoffed against Christianity. Voltaire is dead, Christianity lives. So Christianity must be true. You shifted the goalpost yourselves already. Now we are showing u that many other religions also have people who scoffed and promised to wipe them out too. Islam is one of them. As a matter of fact, the history of Islam has people who vowed to eradicate them. But since Islam is alive and they are dead, we can follow ur logic and say Islam is true too.

What I am doing is establishing reasonable doubt. You can't be dumb not to see that. I know Scholar8200 is though. That guy is obviously not very bright. And u are accusing me of shifting goalposts? Who is shifting?

From his posts you can tell he has been lurking in the shadows all this while reading Nairaland as a guest or with an alternative account. Gently penning down his thoughts and refining them. Putting the right words and grammar at the right places and beautifying it with a cosmetic of word salad.

He had carefully selected what he considers the strongest intellectual sections on Nairaland; the religious section and the literature section. He is going to force his intelligence on them and Nairaland will know of the rising of a genius. And for good measure he decided to add the romance section too. Surely those bimbos there will swoon at the sight of his English and trip over themselves as they flock to him. Easy pickings. Finally he was going to have his big moment.

He was going to prove to himself he was truly intelligent even though the events in his life seem to show otherwise. People he considers inferior are doing better in life yet he himself, for all his intelligence, has nothing to show and was beginning to look like a joke. The intelligence must count for something. He must feel in control again. Nairaland will be a good place to start.

Sadly it was not to be so. Now everything has backfired spectacularly. Turns out them bimbos aren't as gullible as he thought. What was supposed to be very easy turned out to be very hard. Now he is being shred by little girls in the romance section, mauled by the inferior writers in the literature section and sodomised by atheists in the religious section. This is not how it was all supposed to go.

I think this question of plagiarism should be dispensed with once and for all. I am not an atheist. But I have argued and disagreed with atheists here as well as with Christians and even deists whose philosophies are closer to mine. Never once have I been bothered about who plagiarises what.

Another fact is nobody here, capable of holding a discussion, can always be a plagiarist. That's impossible. You cannot successfully plagiarise an argument and then sit around to plagiarise all the responses to the counter arguments. That will be insane. So be it Christians, Muslims or atheists, we all come up with original thought every so often. Even Felixomor comes up with original argument sometimes. So this argument about plagiarism is needless derailment.

Lastly, if I see a post that counters my argument, even a direct quote from Google, my first action, my pride, will be to reply with an even better counter argument or concede that I may have lost the argument and then see if I can come up with a better argument in the future. Failing that, I assume that argument is the better stance to take until someone else provides the better counter argument I was unable to. What I don't do is go about crying that someone copied an argument from somewhere. That's why u never see me accusing anyone of plagiarism.

The mere fact that there's a better argument than yours somewhere on a thread, plagiarized or not, shows you should probably reconsider your position on the matter. The problems come when ego and dogma get in the way of true enlightenment and childish petulance pushes certain characters to create threads like this as an excuse for their failure of imagination.

This is not a sound argument.

There are 2 strong reasons this argument is not very tenable:

1. The lack of experience of life before a mother's womb is not an evidence of lack of life before a mother's womb. It could be that we existed in a form or dimension our present 3D minds are incapable of assessing hence the appearance of lack of experience of life before the mother's womb. Proceeding along this line, death could be a sort of freedom from the limitations of our present form and enabling to continue gleaning our pre-corporeal existence. Hell it could even be like a Larva-pupa-butterfly life stages. Remember I said "could". Who knows?

2. Even if we concede there's no life before a mother's womb, that does not effectively preclude a life after death. Assuming all life begin during conception, there's no way to guarantee all life ends after death. Perhaps conception is the ingredient needed for the formation of the information our consciousness holds and such information must get transferred in one form or another after death. Perhaps our mind are effectively synchronized using some form of quantum entanglement to some distant part of the cosmos and death is just some form of quantum teleportation to those parts. Who knows?
