Look at our education system where you must pay a million naira before you gain admission,where a manager must f.u.ck you (if you are attractive) before tney hire you ! Well,acknowlegdement has always been part of Igbo music; some musician like Osili nwa mama,Ali chukwuma,Oliver and warrior have at one point acknowledged ppl for their philantropy,good name or even academic achievement but they will usually say where they are from,so,Odum i suggest you listen to the songs again and you might get a hint. Moreso,who is Pastor Apiriwa and Dan Orji ? Just wandering cause me never heard of them.
Osili has mentioned ppl like Eugene ojukwu(Anaedo),Eze Obinwa(Ozubulu),Bishop Okonkwo(Awka etiti) and more. And these are very wealthy dons who has helped many Igbo guys to become rich,hence the praises sometimes.

But you have to understand that those people you call"english deficient" are also Americans who schooled there but went to a lower standard school which is still better than what you have in Nigeria and they grew up into a certain standard of film and are familiar with a good work. Now, bring that LATINO to nigeria and cast them in a movie directed by Tchidi Chikere and lets see how well they do.lol. I also hope she can pull this movie off. In hollywood, actors/resses have to go and carry out a research on the character they will be playing, learn speech patterns, mannerisms and alot more in other to be able to pull off the character as close to the real thing as possible. Case in point was The mandela movie with Morgan freeman (Invictus) and the Idi Amin movie with Forrest Wittaker (Last King of scotland).

My younger sister scored 248 cut off on her jamb with near distinction on her o'level result and she was going for medicine and choosed Nnamdi azikiwe uni. as first choice but she was frustrated out!! Am a good soryteller but I dont have any formal training in script writing. i will like to tell a lot of authentic and thrilling Igbo stories stories. I am currently working on a story. I dont know how I could be of help.
