why are people dodging the most important part of this whole story? the OP and her mother are outcasts in igboland. that was why the could not find igbo husbands. the only people that paid them any attention and showed them love, seem to be the yorubas. so why is she whining about this one yoruba guy when the entire igbo men rejected her and her mother? so the important Q should be, what is wrong with her and her mother that they couldn't find igbo man to marry?
Do you really know the definition of outcsste?? This is what happens when you let your a..ss do your thinking for you!! You are lame and pathetic ! |
alj harem: @ Afam4evaLook at this Aboki turned Yoruba! Will you also argue there is no difference between a VI raised kid and AJEGUNLE raised one?? Block brain! |
Ilamina: Yoruba men are taking over the east n south southSo,its like a royalty for yoruba men to marry from Igboland ?? Haha; more like black American wanting to marry white women so they can have the white gene!! But then again the numbers of Igbo women married to yoruba men are not even up to 1%!! I am happy you worship our women thou.....says a lot about who the Igbos are. |
Errr Igbo man that grew up in Lagos, simple. [/quoteOfcourse,they will primarily prefer their Igbo kinds in lagos before the eastern ones who are distanced from them. Its a common sense! |
stillwater: I'm the girl here, I'm more likely to interact and discuss with many Igbo girls. The girls who are bent on marrying an Igbo man mostly grew up in the East. I'm just saying it as it is since everyone is making a statement and attaching FACT to it, lol. I've also noticed Igbo men are more tribalistic compared to the women. So Igbo men sticking to that idea is not surprising, though Igbo men that grew up in Lagos, America are less tribalistic. In marriage you need someone that understands your pattern of thinking. A Lagos babe would prefer these types of Igbo men or Yoruba men. To Onlytruth, nobody is desperate, in fact Igbo girls are spoilt for choices here. Men will always be the ones to ask a woman out. Because the man is Yoruba does not mean she's desperate. Only a silly girl would throw a good man away because of tribe. There is a very thick line between Igbos raised in lagos and Yorubas raisrd in Lagos; The cultural difference is still there,so dont make look like Igbo and Yorubas born in lagos are the same. An Igbo girl born in lagos will choose an Igbo easterner 100 times before considering a Yoruba because of the cultural difference. Dont come here and say what you dont know! |
afam4eva: So, are you implying that i'm tribalistic by marrying an Igbo girl? An Igbo girl in Lagos or any other cosmopolitan city no matter who she associates with, is still 90% likely to marry her fellow Igbo. Tell the ratio of Igbo girls you see marrying outsiders compared to those that marry igbo men.No Afam,98% of Igbo girls born in Lagos will outrightly prefer to marry an Igboman! |
khadaffi: Seriously did the minister of transport said this?Nobe northerner !! Blood thirsty animals!! |
Any non-Igbo name is a big NO,NO! |

Andre Uweh: @ODUMCHI, red hat is a red hat in any format and in Igbo tradition is meant for titled men. However, people now and days wear red hats as fashion just as people wear the military comourflage as fashion. On point! |
You be serious ODE! I am not blaming you for cheating but u got two things wrong; 1,you brought the punny home. 2,you used the home resource ! I wont tell you what do do but if you are a true player you will figure it out, malla.! |
Physics, Owa has a meaning in my Idenmili dialect too! Owa means way in Umuoji,Idenmili dialect... My mother will always say "owa nmili". Just because Owa has a meaning in benin doesnt mean much. Agbor also has meaning in. Umuoji,Idenmili dialect; Agbor means lineage in my Idenmili dialect. Agbotean can deny all he want but the first settlers in Owa were Nri Igbos even before the reign of the Benin kingdom! |
Odogun is a corrupted form of odogwu; If you think its not then tell me what Odogun means. |
My sister,no mind these losers cause you are beautiful and ur bobo no bad at all. I wish you the best of life. |

Afunwa=Behold a child. Udokwu=peaceful thoughts |
We call them "ala wu otu" in lagos; most of them are from Imo,Delta...They speak pigin and yoruba but cant speak their mothers tongues. Very shameless bunch and they think speaking pigin and yoruba makes them cool. We call them ALA WU OTU because they never go home and doesnt have the Igbo traits! |
shymmex: Boi, I didn't know okija_juju was a parasite..You dont understand what am saying; I have never depended on anybody in my whole long suffering life! |
It means send us money till you get old and dont achieve anything!!!! |
amor4ce: Ptolemeus, know that many tribes/ethnic nationalities in Nigeria have long harbored envy for the Yoruba. Hence their vain attempt to portray us as inferior. It will soon stop for good.Did you say ppl harbor "envy" for yorubas Envy you for what exactly ![]() |
odumchi: Oh ok, lol.Odum, you need to let her know that its not just any pepper; It has to be "ose oji" and its not the one you use in cooking. TAKE NOTE!! |
anonymous6: I can tell you are not tribalistic but your thread will be the breading ground for a tribal thread just to warn you. First of all majority of Yoruba men marry yoruba females but a significant amount are marrying igbo girls but it is not vice versa when it comes Yoruba females. Yoruba females and igbo men majority of time don't click(although I have witnessed two couples of that demographic), if a Yoruba female marrys out it would most likely be hausa if she is muslim or edo. I have noticed eastern Nigerian tribes easily marry amongst each other easily, plus their are always other tribes to marry into it is not by force for you to marry yoruba but my question for you is why does it concern you why it is not vice versa with Yoruba females? If you are Igbo and can speak Yoruba fluently the girl and her parents will accept you in a heart beat and I am speaking from core experiences!! |
What about Peter Obi who swear never to go into politics after his tenure! Talk of integrity! |
We Anambrarians are contented with what we have. We should do everything possible to make sure Anambra isnt broken. |
Obiagu1: A beg, make dem no divide Anambra State oo!Thank you!! I dont want them to divide my lovely state!!! Please leave Anambra the way it is!! |
