dustmalik: With the requirement of facial matching, name matching and NIN, those agents aren't supposed to able to swap a line that doesn't belong to the customer. I don't know about now, but I know those agents are not given bypass access. They are not supposed to have such bypass. |

dustmalik: Those agents can be quite unprofessional sometimes. Does the swapped number belong to you? I suppose they did fresh registration for him instead of a swap. If not, this is a major security breach - you are not supposed to be able to swap a sim you don't own. |

Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by NSEstudent: 1:28pm On Nov 28, 2025 |
Ebubemg: I think Huawei odu may be the best the odu and idu have all the necessary settings for everything, airtel is very poor in my area but I'm getting this with 5g and it's stable as long as it remains in 5g , but with 4g the speed won't even be up to 1mbps, that's how bad the network is The Yeye installer even did a terrible job, he mount it vertically. Location! Location!! Location!!! You have 5G and that's good and it contributes to the speed. The Huawei device is good but not enough evidence yet to conclude it's the best. I will still get it if it reaches my location. If anything, the ZTE G5F beats them all in theoretical numbers. And, by the way, it has the least number of bands but that's made possible by Airtel, through their software. The router has more bands than are shown in the Airtel software. |

Bejust4m: I use this model and i have never gotten above 20mpbs. Is there any trick. These things are mostly location dependent. Since yesterday, for instance, my location has been experiencing really nice speeds. Speed tests clearly show that Airtel is throttling down the speed because it's rapidly goes above 50 - 60 mbs but throttles down to settle between 48 - 52mbs. This should be based on the sub of 25k for 50mbs. If they continue this way, I have no cause for complains. However, it's interesting that the OP has all the routers and tested them at the same location. |

Hullabaloon: You are correct. Never had a problem with downloading. If it's a very heavy file, I'll just do it overnight. But streaming was a major problem, especially live matches. All the apps I have, them Cricfy, Sportzx, and HDstreamz, would only stream without buffering if set to the lowest piss poor quality and buffer heavily on decent quality. Probably an issue with the sever on those apps.
Till I discovered this YouCine app. Has all the major super sports channels and the resolution is 480p which looks very decent on my 65 inches. Absolutely zero buffering on that resolution. Finally my streaming worries are over. You can give it a try. Is it on Play Store? Or do you mean Yacine app, the one with mostly Arabic channels? |

Bejust4m: nothing special bro those agents added thier own money.. Some buy it and stock up so whenever there seems to be low availability of mifi, they inflict the prices.. Some sold for even 42k.. Someome bought at exact same price you did - 37,500. But the catch is that they gave him Vida 4G router which is valued at 12500. So I suppose they were selling it still at 25k plus the 4G router, maybe to sell more devices and get more points from their employer. |

Burgerstv23: The new ODU Huawei version came with a powerbank that has a POE port of 19v to power the ODU, would a 24v Poe port powerbank also power the ODU conveniently without issues? Someone has asked similar question here. Don't try using an adapter rated higher voltage than the device it's powering. It does not end well. |

fuckboys: X25pro has more wifi range than the idu.
Even outside my flat inside my compound I'm still connected to the x25pro. But the ZLT IDU has very weak spots in some places inside my flat.
I'm just using the x25pro full time now and have dumped the airtel odu I use the X25 normal version in another location. It's the reason I was confirming and reconfirming about external Sim ODUs because it's the same Sim I use in the X25. It works well, almost on par with the ODU but of course the ODU has an edge when you look at the network parameters. |

fuckboys: This is my ODU, only has the ethernet port and nothing else. Yes. It's the ethernet port that powers the ODUs. ZTE UPS has two ports for LAN IN for IDU and the other to power the ODU. |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by NSEstudent: 8:36am On Nov 28, 2025 |
fuckboys: the ups doesn't power the ODU directly. It only powers the IDU which in turn powers the ODU through the ethernet cable
Is there a way for the ups to power the ODU directly? It's strange to me because in my case, it is the UPS that powers both IDU and ODU. The IDU can be powered separately but the ODU is made to be powered by the UPS. There can be another way but that's the straightforward way it is done with the ZTE G5F. Maybe yours is a differed ODU. By the way, only the ZTE arrangement comes with WiFi 5 IDU. The rest come with WIFI 6. So why do you want to use X25 pro as the IDU when the IDU is already wifi 6? |

Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by NSEstudent: 7:21am On Nov 28, 2025 |
fuckboys: . Mine isn’t greyed out too but it doesn’t power the ODU when I set it to wired network.
My X25pro is unlocked, is this your software version? The router is not supposed to power the ODU. Aren't you using the UPS, which doubles as the connecting point? That's what powers the ODU. The IDU and ODU connect to that UPS. |

crownprince2017: Yesterday's White House Shooting Shows That America Needs Peace Just As Much as Nigeria...Or Maybe Even More!
Yesterday, there was a serious shooting incident near the White House, and the American seat of government had to be placed on lockdown to protect President Trump and his key officials after two National Guard soldiers were shot and critically wounded.
I am grateful that President Trump is safe, as this is obviously a man ordained by God who has already done much good and is destined for even greater things on Earth.
Yesterday's event is a reminder of how God saved President Trump from a domestic terrorist, Thomas Crooks (what a befitting name!), who attempted to take out the then former President on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
This is part of the growing gun crime crisis in the United States. Each year in the US, over 40,000 people die from gun-related incidents. That is more than ten times the number of Nigerians who die from terror-related incidents, according to the Global Terror Index, which put terror-related deaths at 565 in their latest GTI (please see https://www.economicsandpeace.org/report/global-terrorism-index-2025/).
America is the world's greatest country; nevertheless, it has its own issues. Its society is not perfect. And if those Nigerians now calling for President Trump to invade Nigeria relocate to the United States, being Black, they will stand a higher chance of being victims of gun violence than those in Nigeria.
Yes, Nigeria has security challenges, but when was the last time you heard of a shooting close to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa?
Do not be fooled. The rich also cry, and all that glitters is not gold.
No matter how bad things get in Nigeria, we have never had a year in which over 40,000 people were either killed or severely injured in gun crimes, as happens in the United States.
Therefore, stand with Nigeria and President Tinubu as the government and our gallant armed forces work to make Nigeria a secure place for all Nigerians, irrespective of their religion, region, or political affiliation.
Reno Omokri This does not concern the NGX |

I remember you were the one who said you stick your network mode on 3G for stability, I guess that's why your download speed is poor. 3G is most stable when it works in my location but these days it hardly does work. microlincoln: Please is this a good buy? I don't want to buy the new ODU because of mobility. BTW this is only what the Airtel shops around me has This should be X25 Max 2. It's a good router. I'd advise you to buy the ODU when next this one expires. Then use the sim on this one. The sub is cheaper, with theoretical better speed of 50mbs compared to 20 mbs. Either that or you get "the other way". That's assuming this one has a sim slot, because I heard they were doing esim on this one sometime ago. |

awesomeJ: 300bps isn't rapid given that there's been a 420bps drop in inflation in the intervening period.
My want for lower yields is to limit money supply thereby increasing the currency's worth.
High yields are dilutive.
When your yields are below 5%, your currency will be worth more than those who keep yields above 30%.
And yes, low yields impacts the market cos businesses can finance at a fraction of the current costs, the savings flowing almost entirely to the bottom line.
It impacts government expenses too etc. Fair enough |
