What is your speed? Do you have it?
I use ZTE. My speed is nice during the day.

Tonight I am struggling to stream UCL

What I noticed is that the Huawei ODU settings are very rich and deep and it's on a professional level.
The stability of the device is top notch 🔥🔥
That's what I have been using and I have never had any downtime with it.
It might just be your location, the stability part.

Anyone here using the Huawei variant and how is it so far?

I want to opt for it, I have been given the option of Huawei or the new white ZLT.
If this Huawei reaches my area, I go buy am too. I've not found anything special about it but I like the manufacturer grin

My chosen ODU is ZTE G5F and I'm glad it's the one I currently have, but I go still get others in case.

I am not aware of the ODU ZLT X17M pro. When I got my ZLT, it was the IDU that had a pro version, which is the ZLT W304VA PRO. I think you have it mixed up.

Have you confirmed that their current ZLT stock doesn't include the IDU ZLT W304VA PRO?
Okay. I know the IDU is the one which has pro version. They have used that version consistently among esim and physical sim, black and then white IDUs.

However, the manufacturer now has X17M pro, which I know Airtel will someday import. So when they do, I will buy it again as a renewal to the monthly subs.

For context, same manufacturer has X25. They later made X25 pro, which Airtel imported. Now the latest version of that router is X25 Max 2 and Airtel is now selling it.

We'll keep trading what we see.
How's high interest rate in the govt interest though, when they could be saving trillions off debt service, working towards a balanced budget and then looking good for the next ballot??

I don't understand politics much, but the maths says they should be pro low yields.
Why do you want the rate to fall rapidly though? Is it so that it will positively impact the capital market?

I think a sharp fall in rates will adversely affect the economy. Let them take it small small - slowly but surely.

What advantage does the x17m pro have or the x17m
Well, it is the pro version. I have encountered problems with X25 that are not present in X25 pro. While I have not explored X17M yet, I believe the pro version would be better.

In the future when we would probably have reasons to explore these ODUs, the pro version will be handy.

The current ZLT with white IDU doesn't have Esim support, just physical sim.
Airtel's eSim API has problems and it seems their BE Engineers don't want to fix it grin

Or so I think

But Airtel is doing only external sim now for their new ODUs.

I will buy another ODU if they bring back the Huawei or any time they upgrade the ZLT to X17m pro.

I am street for many reasons. I do go out on sit at home. The sit at home by IPOB was any day Kanu has court appearance to show solidarity. The Monday regular was never his doing
He did not jump bail as he was appearing in court before the military attacked his home to kill him .The records are thr to verify
We called for his release because we saw the truth happening in all SE using him as cover
We had the genuine ones working for the purpose. Then many criminal elements surfaced like
The state actors doing killings
The kidnapping and robbery group
The ritual and organ harvesting group
They whr all doing evil hiding under the genuine struggle. I witnessed some of this evil happening life.We shouted for government to release him so he can continue his court case so to be able to eliminate this evil ones who always claimed it was order from Kanu. The state actors who whr equally involved needed the cover so they did everything to stop it
The recent sentence is to create another round of such insecurity for 2027 elections .When thr is wide range of insecurity in a region u can use it as excuse to surprise the voters turn out in the region mostly if u see it won't support u agenda.

For someone who claims to have integrity, you're just like everyone else after all - beclouded by emotional attachment to your origin.

I don't want to believe that you haven't listened to the numerous recordings made by the subject. If you did and still have these opinions, then it's unfortunate. What his supporters like you are insinuating is that all those innocent folks unalived by his numerous 'orders' as supreme leader whose words are final, don't matter at all, or that perhaps they are mere collateral damage to whatever it is you guys want. Folks I know personally, lost a lot - including paying the ultimate price. All for what? No one gave them fair hearing. Perhaps they are lesser humans than you guys and your SL.

That type of nation, when achieved, would be similar to North Korea and strongly opinionated folks like you would probably be the first victims, because such won't be tolerated. All over SM, when presented with facts, you guys threaten to unalive instead of engage - portraying what you all learnt from your SL.

Nigeria is just a kakistocracy and we deserve the leaders we have.

what most people don't understand is that, it is not about how fast your internet is, for you to stream higher quality videos but how well the streaming platform server. I stream YouTube 1080p without buffering with just 5mbps, same 5mbps might not be about to stream a video of 480p on another platform with poor server.

With anything from 20mbps, it is enough to stream without buffering on any good platform. Samething apply to iptv.

Yes the 25k subscription is all you need except Airtel is very bad in your area and you can't get up to 5mbps.

There are some platform that 1gbps will still buffer every few seconds
You're right. The internet speed still plays some parts though but I have wtinessed differing results from different platforms on the same speed.

Is it true that fiber x is faster than starlink? I have been seeing reviews that fibre beats MTN fiber beats starlink?

Secondly would you choose Airtel ODU over Fibre x? And reasons
Fibre Internet will always beat satellite (e.g. Starlink) and Wireless Broadband like 4G/5G, which Airtel use for their ODU.

One shortcoming I can see, which is probably peculiar to Nigeria, is reliability. When hoodlums tamper with the cables, internet go commot for a long time.

By the way, the FibreX sub that would beat Starlink for speed should be the higher end subs and not the equivalent of Airtel ODU, which is 25k for 50mbs. But Fibre has very low latency and should be very usable when it's available, even the 25k cheapest sub.

mine is the x25 pro. Okay I will give it a try.

The x25pro wifi coverage is more than the IDU, and supports wifi 6.
Yea. Myself and at least one other user on this thread are using ZTE MC801A as the IDU, which is a Cat 6 router.

fuckboys:
please which of these ports should I use to connect my X25pro as an IDU to the ODU?
It would have been easier if one of the ports is labelled WAN/LAN.

Which version of the X25 is this though? My normal X25 has 3 ports.

I guess this should be X25 pro of Max, in that case you will need to login to the root user interface and find where you can switch the operation mode to cable/wired broadband. If it is anything like ZTE MC801A, that menu will also let you assign WAN to any of the two LAN ports.

Someone said the X25 pro works without any manipulation, using the bottom port as WAN. So you can start by trying that.

No, you don't need the 45k plan to stream 4k files. On my first subscription, I used to watch 4k movies with sizes ranging between 30 to 48GB. The problem is not really the size of the file, but the bitrate of the file. A 40GB file might have a bitrate of 49 or 50Mbps, which is the full speed of the plan. If you live in a location where network is excellent, you will enjoy streaming.

However, I have observed that Airtel network has become terrible lately. Once it is 7pm or thereabout, the network becomes difficult to use for streaming, until around 10 to 11pm. I am specifically talking about streaming 4k files, cos I don't watch 1080p (FHD) files.

It will definitely perform better when mounted outside. The fact that you are getting good signal indoor, shows that coverage in your location is good. However, the performance will improve significantly when mounted outside.
The thing is that performance was excellent when it was first mounted, the first 5 days or so, and signal hasn't changed since then. It even got marginally better.

Mounting the ODU outside is really not feasible for me.

You need to take your ODU outside. I was having similar issues when I first installed mine inside. The speed was good sometime and bad sometimes. I decided to mount it outside. Since then, cell reception has been amazing.
Okay. Do you think the reception is not good enough?
I do think the reception, especially for 491,3256 is good enough. Bands 8 and 3 are 'Excellent', according to the router app but perform worse than band7.

Have you locked the cell here..... because I was expecting to see more frequency bands. Though it's a quality cell with that high SiNR, yet the RSRP negative value is high, meaning it will rarely be stable and available. Try and move it around and see if by chance you can reduce the RSRP negative values.
That position is the balanced optimal point I can get within the location. Other mounting points would require taking the ODU outside, which I don't want.

Yes, I locked 491,3256. The signal is always available here. The SINR value ranges from 18 to 23.

When I was using X25, SINR was rarely up to 8 on the locked band7, but it was decent and did well. When I first started using the ODU, the band7 was performing well, but I think Airtel became worse in the last few days.
