Hullabaloon:
How did you locate the Sim slot? Mine doesn't seem to have it. Same ZTE
I had thought the ZTE's base is open by default but someone showed me it is also covered like ZLT. So you just have to unscrew the base of the ODU to locate the sim slot. It is said that the screw driver comes with the device as well.

I'm on the ZTE but the person can go to WiFi settings and disable single SSID. that's if the option is available in the ZLT IDU
I asked him about this SSID first and he said he has both normal Wi-Fi name and another one with _5G, which confirms he's not using single SSID.

I experience this when I am running it with only the battery but with electricity, no issues.
Maybe that's what's causing it. So the manufacturer made the device with a power bank that is underpowering it.

This issue is common with people using just the eSIM activated, he should get a physical Sim and insert in the Sim slot and use.
His is actually physical sim. The very first ODU with black IDU.

Someone I know is having the problem of always restarting their device to get network back whenever it goes off.
That is, there will be network but not browsing until they restart.

What is the solution to this? It's the ZLT version with black IDU.

i don't know oh, i think it's the worst version self considering it's using
e-sim.
grin grin

So the agents in that place decided to add extra money for themselves.

Na wa o.

Meanwhile, if it is ZTE, you now have enough info, so you should quickly swap the sim to physical one and use away.

Has anyone done the same with the ZLT version that comes with eSIM? I would like to know if it is as seamless as the ZTE. I know ZLTs have their sim ports screwed with allen keys.

ANIKUDI:
I faced similar issues on my ZTE ODU when I got it last week, after it was installed, it connected without internet access, the installer had to restart it for it to connect, then after that it went off again after the installer had already gone, so I called him and he told me to restart the device again, I did that all through that day but it still refused to connect on checking the ODU dashboard, I noticed the Sim number showing there is totally different from the one I registered.

So I contacted the Airtel Office, they initially said the fault was from the installer that he might have installed someone else device, until I proved otherwise by showing the device IMEI which matches what I snapped at the office after payment. So they said the error might be that the device was initially registered for someone else but didn't go through, before they used same device to register for me, so the number is clashing.

I requested for my registered line to be converted to a physical Sim, since I saw it was active and tied to my Airtel account on the app, but to my greatest surprise, they said it doesn't support physical Sim. I just laughed it off, and took pictures of the Sim slot and sent to them, but they now said it may not work. I literally had to snap the pages on their manual that indicated it works with both eSIM and physical Sim, and the use of physical overrides the eSIM functional which makes the device make use of the physical Sim directly.

I had to further prove it to them by inserting my previous Airtel 20mbps unlimited Sim in it and told them that it works. They now called me the next day to speak on a conference call with their supervisor to explain my case with him, after a few hours later, they told me to go back to the office and try to get the physical Sim, but on reaching there they said NIMC portal was down. So I opted for a roadside SIM swap of the eSIM since it was weekend and I didn't want to wait to come back on Monday.

The Sim swap was successful and I have now installed the physical Sim into the Sim slot and it is working fine now without any issues or interruptions.

If you have eSIM registered for you already, just make sure first that the eSIM number issued to you is active, then take that number to any Airtel outlet and request for a SIM swap. Most Airtel staffs are not aware of this simple solution.
They say "if you know how 'average' your supposed role models are compared to you..." grin

Sometimes I marvel at the corporate incompetence in this country eh. At banks, Immigration, ISPs, etc., there is no shortage of highly incompetent folks doing jobs they know very little about with closed-mindedness.

There is too much anyhowness in the land. But we pray and hope for the best. E go better.

The esim with Airtel is highly flawed, from the activation to occasional network loss. When the esim was still working, I'd get "no Internet" out from no where, but when I put the physical sim innit, it works very well.

I pity those who have this issue but don't have the physical sim to make up for it as you'll now have to wait for hours before the esim comes back online.

Will keep trying with the band/cell Lock thing. Maybe there's just something I'm missing.
If they research, they will find this thread, and help.

From your tests, what 4G band achieves the best speed consistently?
Band 8. But I suppose it should be location dependent.

Did the Band Lock. Results aren't that impressive.

Funny that locking cell on my x25 pro has given me increased and consistent results.

For some reason, my ZTE ODU has been acting up. I noticed the esim has stopped working completely, I know my way around the esim so it's not some settings. what I'm now using is the physical sim.

I looked up the esim and realized that it's not active anymore. The name and Nin attached to it has disappeared from where it usually displayed on the myairtel app.
I like how the external Sim is working.

Those routers were originally made to use physical sim. Na Airtel wan use am do restriction.

The reason I suggested band lock is because, since yesterday that I started trying the locking stuff, I have been experimenting and all the better cells in my router are on the same band.

I did l cell Lock, locked to 3 different cells individual but for some reason, the speed on them seems to range between 16Mbps and 30+Mbps max.

But when I leave the cells unlocked, I get upto 50+Mbps.

Few days ago, it wasn't a problem but over the weekend, that 50+Mbps is very rare.

Frustrating.
You can do band lock instead.

I locked only cell, what band did you lock to?
The band related to the cell. If you check the bands you will see that. In my case it was band 8.

Now I understand some of the figures/values in these windows.

I found a combination that performs better than others and locked it.

But it shows my area really has a poor coverage compared to your area, including stability. SINR value is quite important as well and I got a max of 5.

Thanks a lot bro. Now I can play around with it.
In tinkering with these, I found that locking both band and cell gives a nice speed and stability.
Folks can try it.

EARFCN 1723

PCI 490
EARFCN 3500

??

Yeah, I don't know what's going on.
You should ensure the PC or phone you're using to access the IP is also connected to it. I know it's obvious but it can be the reason, maybe you connected to another network.

If you have X25 pro, you don’t need cell mapper.
All you need is the list of PCI and EARFCN.
ODU can also display the values too.
Just pick a PCI and the corresponding EARFCN and lock it
I currently use ZLT X25, not the pro version. I only have 4G coverage in my area. How do I do this cell locking stuff to see if it will make a difference?

I see the Lock Specific Physical Cell option but when I click it, it says there is no data in the list.

no. 5 are long term securities (bond) issued by the federal government only. Such as FGN savings bond, sukuk bond, FGN bond etc. these bonds tenor are usually from 2 years and above.
No. 7 are short terms securities - usually one year or less.
Okay.

At some points within last year and this one, some kind of deductions were made from Savings Bonds. Not so in recent months though.

They shouldn't have mentioned government bonds on 7. I'm not sure there is any other government bond whose tenor is less than 2 years - the minimum for Savings Bonds. There might be; I'm just not aware.

Yes....correct. that's the conservative average generally.

However
But based on specific results of some stocks and the nature of business(low OS, economic necessity, Brand name popularly, MOAT factor, expansions, good and regular dividend payments, good dividend yield, etc) he could use
EPS x 4x5 OR EPS x 4x6 or (inbetweens)

For negative perception within the stock and stained result
(e.g bloated OS, Accumulated debt on balance sheet, -ve equity, poor dividend or no dividends, sector standards etc
he could apply a penalty of 50%,75%, etc.
That is: EPS x 4x 4 x 50%(0.5)
or EPS x 4 x 4 x 75%(0.75) as the case may be..

You could customise it according to your own valuation and due diligence as well.
Thank you sir.

Well understood.

@naturalflow the Q3 performance was not as good as Q2 performance that took it SP to 4+
It made ₦0.56 EPS in H1(Q1+Q2) which made estimated FY EPS to be about ₦1.10k! Consequently, this took SP to ₦4+
Q3 alone it made ₦0.13
(drop per Q). This shows it may not attain the FY EPS of ₦1.10k that was estimated by H1 that took the Share price to ₦4 if it continues with this ₦0.13 EPS in Q4.

I know Qtn is meant for Aj8.
But let me add.

EPS of MB is 0.69 Year-Till-Date(9Months).

We are only left with 1 quarter EPS to add to the EPS of 0.69 to get the Estimated FY EPS.

12=12 calender months
9= calender months.

0.69* 12/9 will give you the estimated full year EPS of ₦0.92k
He multiplies by 4 as his personal standard of average PE ratio of 4 for "most" companies which he calls common sense grin.
0.92* 4=₦3.68 as target price.

Alternative1,
4=4 quarters(12months; FY)
3= 3 quarters(9months)
he could as well have done 0.69*(4/3)=₦0.92
Then 0.92*4= ₦3.68 as target price.

For a more logical breakdown:
Alternatively 2, you can divide 0.69(Eps for 3 quarters) by 3 to get the EPS for 1 Quarter=
0.69/3= 0.23.

Then multiply 0.23 *4 to get the estimated full yr EPS= ₦0.92k.
Then multiply 0.92*4 to get the common sense target price of ₦3.68 as target price
Thanks for this.

So, in summary, the common sense SP = average quarterly eps x 4 x 4
