Stargate254: There is a KDF SIGNALs company deployed in DRC for both EACRF and MONUSCO-QRF troops respectively.
Their job is to make sure all forms of communication are available 24/7 i.e Video, data, radio.. etc Some of those trucks you see in the convoy that went through Uganda posted by @NTSA are mobile towers that will be stationed strategic areas to ensure all vehicles and personnel within the theater of operation can communicate effectively without needing to use long antennas mounted on the vehicles.
I've been trying to google for the pictures that showed the mobile towers during the pre-deployment ceremony but after 10mins of searching I gave up, this is the best image I could find. it's like most of the comms equipment is always netted with a camouflage net.

Lurker4Long: I don't understand this answer. Surely Logs vehicles should always be in Comms reach? by saying he didn't see any comms on the vehicles I guess he meant those long antennas found on MRAPs plus I also guess the logistics guys were still communicating effectively through secure military radio channels. |

It will be interesting to see the type of armament that will be installed this time..however rumor has it that we are working with southKorean missile systems or something of the sort. |

Just40: Well it is a separate field of study from mechanical engineering... And I didn't mention thermodynamics fluid mechanics.
Astrophysics is a subunit of general physics but astrophysics is an entire course on it own.
Now you understand? Dumb Kenyans as always We also study fluid dynamics in structural and civil engineering not as as a separate course but as a sub-unit within the course .... however you can specialize and do research in fluid dynamics at higher levels .like I said most of these units are interdisciplinary....once you specialize at a specific area at master's or PHD level then you can be a specialist in that field. |

Just40: I'm saying robotics and you're also mentioning mechatronics... What's wrong with you Kenyans?
Mechatronics doesn't come close to Treating robotics As I said robotics is a subset of mechatronics engineering....our universities are even advancing to Nano-Sciences, Material Science, and New Production sciences. The Kenya Institute of Nanotechnology (KIoN) is in advanced stages of being setup fully equipped with level 3 bio-safety labs. |

Very few Kenyans make it to ivy league schools ... Those non ivy league schools are majorly better than any uni in Kenya and offer superb programs.
Being the best can look like this Robotics engineering is a subset of mechatronics engineering |

Stormtrooper11: No, instead I believe the Naval forces of the world are on a fast rise and advancement. Major naval operations and battles are expensive. In fact, the Navy has the most expensive materiel and equipment. Therefore, to launch these kind of operations require a major country with funds and quality maintenance and tactical ability, something that only a few countries can afford especially in the African region. Maybe we can look at it from this angel..since the year 2000 there has only been 18 major incidences of naval warfare...and if we look further into the details they are just low level crashes here and there. |
