As for those that claim that Jesus came to die for their sins( may be they love sinning) here are some food for thought
1. Jesus prayed to God to make this cup pass over him, in other words God save me
2. God heard his prayer, in other word God accepted his prayer because God hears all the time, the "heard" is metaphorical for acceptance.
3. Jesus before giving up the ghost shouted My God my God why have thou Forsaken me, this only goes to show that he was an unwilling to die for your sins.
4. If Jesus were God, then couldn't this be read, "Myself, myself why hast thou forsaken me?

And yes, my analogy does support what you are trying to posit - vis that God could manifest as a quandary  or even an infinity. In practise, I believe He does just that seeing as most of us cannot handle "total" truth. Manifesting in a manner that keeps you in your comfort zone would likely allow you find it easier to be corrected, guided, led into truth etc.

However, for the purposes of the Bible, there are three manifestations that stand out. Where I think confusion comes in is that most forget the Bible has been around only for a few hundred years. Such as Abel, Noah, Moses, Elijah to state a few, never had recourse to it yet had faith, truth and the Spirit of God. They heard His voice and recognised Him. It is for simplicity's sake that we separate God and say 3 or 7 or infinity. In reality, there is but one God and He is all-encompassing thus His being here as Jesus did not stop Him being someplace else in another form/manifestation. It also didn't reduce His Glory.

All "Deists" keep saying God can do anything but most are liars who mouth the words but do not believe what they say. Elementary thought brings one question to mind. Vescucci, does God have the right to decide (out of love and for your sake) to be a small beautiful bird whose chirps make you smile one day when you are feeling low? Or a tiny chipmunk who's gymnastics brightens your day? Or is He restricted to being a "terrible", "overbearing" God whose voice kills? Pray, who would be the party restricting Him? If the first 2 are possible, would it mean that any hunter that shoots and hits the bird/chipmunk has killed God? Would you then not realise that basically God is to be found in all of creation since we model His existence albeit in limited forms?

This thread and the other "why have you forsaken me?" show so much truth about our Muslim brothers. Its hatred for the concept of Christ and not knowledge or sincerity that drives them. Yet the hatred is not backed by an understanding of the issues involved. Its amazing how someone can show so much hatred for something only for it to be determined (nay, proved) that he/they know pratically nothing of what they "hate" or even of why they should hate it.

Worse still, is that they don't even understand their own belief system as this thread proves. A mouse-trap would find it more difficult to catch a prey in a food store than Aletheia found it to catch them in error here.

"Power" and "Fire" are words used symbolically in Scripture. Let me give you an idea of what I'm saying. You will come across terms like "refined in the furnace of affliction" in the Bible - these obviously do not refer to a copper/aluminium smelting plant but the purification of the human through tribulations, trials and afflictions.

These are issues rarely discussed on NL since what we mainly have here are members of the crowd that welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem i.e. the feel good crowd led by their baal prophets joagbaje and co. But these are the "heavy" portions of Christianity which create character, build trust and make us true Sons with knowledge of the Father.

So when you see stuff like "the Holy Spirit and Fire", do the math - you're looking at the indwelling of the HS which will be accompanied by a battery/series of experiences designed to make the subject a worthwhile tool in the Hands of His maker. Its not "force and fire".

The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit in Aramaic, Greek and English as "HE". All commentaries regard HIM as an individual, superhuman, a distinct personality. BUT you of course, ignore these and insist based on a portion (rather than totality) that He is a force. And then you complain about the word "shallow" which sincerely wasn't intended as an insult.

Did you start University at 400 level OR jump from high school to graduate law school and get your degree thus? When you can answer yes to that, you'll get the point about shallowness in taking a portion rather than the totality.
