Good morning all,...
I had My WAEC in 2006, my Bsc in 2011. Am confused about either to go for a Masters or another degree I don't know where i stand more chance.

I was denied my first attempt in 2016.

Suggestions from the house would help, thank you

I think going for the master's is the better option. Although I hope you don't have gap years in the event you are asked, "What have you been doing?"

Another degree might also be a good option, but they are many questions that you have to answer personally.

What exactly is happening to the visa waiting time? Is the 99 days waiting time real? I’ve submitted my application. On the UStravels since last week and till now I’ve not gotten a reply to fix my interview date

If you are resuming for Fall 24, you still have five months until resumption. Like someone said, relax and be hopeful. Except your resumption is in February or March

Hello,

I need all the help I can get, please. I got a fully funded doctoral scholarship from the University of Chicago. I was awarded their most prestigious fellowship for my academic excellence with an extra 8k USD on top. I intend to travel with my wife. So, we want to start the visa process but I have zero knowledge of what to do like:

1. Can we fill the DS 160 form now and schedule for June without paying the visa fee? Like to pay it later..The school promised to pay it but can only do so in April when they start their Visa process.

2. How do we establish strong home ties? I think that's the only part we need to get right as we already have funding that covers for her deficit.

If there are other things we need to put together so as to present a strong application, please feel free to share.

I need information, please.
Congratulations

1. A few posts back, someone outlined all the stages of what to do.

2. I think maybe stressing the fact that your funding covers your spouse on the day of the interview will go a long way. "She will not be a burden, but she will provide the emotional support you need in the course of your program."

Hello.... Please.. I also got admission into the social works college at CWRU... How do I get a fully sponsored scholarship?

I think you should send an email to the graduate coordinator in your department and ask about opportunities. They are in the best position to provide necessary information.

Urgent response is needed, please.

What can he do in this situation to secure a visa and round up everything quickly before his resumption date?

Thanks.

Just to add, he should keep searching for dates, as the embassy would keep dropping dates. Also, he can apply for an emergency appointment.

NUELUSA2023 please do you have any answer to this especially the 2nd question?

So, for my GRE, it was completely self-study. The truth is that studying for the exam requires time—so much time—and also depends on how good you were in quantitative and verbal before now. Therefore, time is dependent on so many factors by 3 months, I think.

@SleepingTablets
your assertion here is not true. You could have passed through cabrillo college doesn't mean you fully understand the process. Give me one reason why the F1 renewal will be denied in Canada or Mexico??...all these imaginary VO this, VO that is a typical Nigerian mentality or thinking towards the US embassy. It is legal to renew F1 visa in adjacent Islands. F1 visa that many of us have renewed multiple times is what you are here ventilating about

Seems it's that Khasoggi fellow that is back. Nigerians go to Canada to renew without any single issue.

Hey 🤠

The bolded conclusion is based on high percentage. For example , every VOs in all countries of the world gives out visas to those going for genuine intentions ...YET THEY SEE EVERYBODY AS AN INTENDED IMMIGRANT. This is the reason the US still roll out Visa Lottery . America is very large , they still need people from all over the world because COMING TOGETHER IS THEIR FOUNDATION.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

ARE YOU IN THE USA?

Please someone should help me out with a opinions or suggestions .

A lower COA is always better. Maybe mention the school so people can advise better, as COA is not the only criteria.

Go with the school with the lower COA (the deficit). Do you have an account with approximately 44M? It's easier to believe that you have ~27M than 45M

Good evening,

Can anyone help with the list of schools that are fully funded in Us for masters degree in public health or environmental science . Currently my ielts score is band 6 I just need more information.

I will be glad if I can get a response.
Thanks.

Honestly, the best help is DIY. I am not saying you are lazy but get a list of schools right, and go through their course catalog, and I promise you, you'd find so many schools like that. Alternatively, you could search by states; that is, take a state, search the schools in that state, and shortlist the schools that offer your course and have funding. It will be painstakingly difficult, but it's worth it.

Wish you all the best.

Hi Oluwadamilola97

Good evening, I am an intending F1 student and was denied visa on July 30, 2023, and since then trying to get a new date after paying a new visa fee, yet my portal keeps saying ''no available dates now.''

Thanks.

I think there is somewhere you have to select; not previously denied, before you can schedule date.

Greetings to the gurus here for the great work you are doing.

For someone with 3.23 GPA in BSc, 4.90 in PGD and 4.69 in MSc, with 2 scopus publication and 1 already accepted, and one Thomson Reuters also accepted (all first author); with about 2 years lecturing experience, what are the chances like for a PhD considering the low BSc GPA

I noticed most US schools emphasize more on BSc GPA

What course are you going for?

Your profile is already competitive, but like someone mentioned, address the Bsc GPA in your SOP.

Also apply to schools that require application fees, it will broaden your chances.

I had my F2 Visa Interview recently and it was delayed.

Please I will appreciate if anyone can help me figure out where I went wrong...

I think the issue is hometies. You are going to join your husband, and you guys don't have kids. I think she thinks you don't intend to return.

Hopefully others will provide more insight.

Good evening house. Please I urgently need assistance on how to answer the below questions as part of my PhD
application process:

d. 500 words max What specific perspectives and abilities will you bring to the doctoral program that will help you succeed in it and make an important contribution to it?:

e. 500 words max: How will this doctoral program enhance your ability to lead change in and with your communities?

A. They are basically asking you to sell yourself. What are your strengths as a person and an academic and also your experiences that would help.

B. What benefits will you derive from the program. What will you do with the "doctoral degree" when you return. You can emphasize the aspect of going into academia and mentoring the new crop of individuals in your field.

Hope it helps.

Any school that has application fee waiver Currently?

My simple advice, go for a school that requires application fees. If you can research properly on a school that has a high acceptance, requires application fees and there is availability of full funding.

Going for schools with application fee waivers might be counter productive due to competition (I may be totally wrong here)

You have a solid profile. Wish you all the best
