it is available in both auto and Manual, some of us still prefer manual transmission to automatic. the automatic is easy to get than manual.

Toyota Corolla is a citizen, it's every 1st time car owner choice downside is theft and cost of acquiring it.

Honda Civic is also a good choice and it has the top choice in interior and design, not boring or bland but also a reliable car non the less.

Honda City uses 1.3 or 1.5L engine most fuel efficient of the lot it is fitted with CVT or manual transmission, if you like fish grin

then definitely you will like the city as it looks like bonga fish or tilapia with that design.

All the cars listed are very good it's left for you to decide which is more appealing to you and easy on your pocket

Please advice between Honda CR-V 05 and Ford escape 05 (both 4 cylinder) in terms of:

Stylish Appearance
Most Dependable (for a 3 years usage)
Cheapest to maintain
Availability of Mechanic and Spare parts
Fuel (with A/C always on)
Resale Value

** RAV-4 and Highlander should have been in the list but they are costly than the two above.

I will rate the CRV here for popularity, spare part availability, easy technician know how and dependability. You can also upgrade the CRV dash to DVD nav, it is also available in Manual transmission grin

Am looking at a of budget of 1.7m

First time car owner (with relatively good maintenance culture).

Preferred a CUV/SUV with 4 cylinder (due to fuel concerns) but i think my budget cannot get a toks except maybe a CR-V 2004 (but interior is kind of boring and old IMHO). You can advise if any other within the budget.

Daily roads plying between Abule-Egba and Sango axis ( pls consider the kind of heavy pot holes on the roads nowadays)

Monthly roads plying (like twice in a month max) due to visits is around Agbado Crossing - Ijoko - Gas line axis ( one of the worst road in Nigeria)

Am looking at; Honda civic 2006 (concerns: low ground clearance), Toyota Corolla 2003/04 (concerns: too common and thief magnet issue), Camry 2003 (concerns: body ages badly)

For above mentioned car concerns and choice, am not 100% fixated. Am open to expert advise (any car brand in similar capacity as above is also welcome) with reference majorly to the Nigeria bad roads.

Go and buy a CRV or RAV4 because a V8 is not a call to fuel economy.

Yes there are phones designed that way majorly Sony Xperia and HTC phones are examples I have seen before.

Some are not joined per se but the technical know how and tools to separate them are a gamble eg Samsung.

but not all my examples are like that, but most low end phones, Tecno, itel, Lenovo etc have both screen and digitizer separate in an easy way.

for the Benz second generation ML350 to be precise, it uses a stick knob like the good old wiper stick, it already designated with instructions on the stick you tap up, down, forward to the corresponding gear you want.

The BMW uses a tap stick just switch it to the desired gear stance by taping backwards or forward and it electronically works

I think Range Rover uses knob instead, you just rotate to the corresponding gear indicator.

There is no much big deal, they just made the gears more electronically inclined and beautify the whole thing, it's more about aesthetics on car design now same way cameras are beginning to replace side view mirrors.

I noticed that new edition of luxury cars dont have gear stick in their cars again,like the new Mercedes Benz c class and more cars,pls how do they change gear or drive,this has been on my mind.. cc: nurey,heavenlybang

There are still gear there, they just changed from old stick inclined gear change to button or knob controlled one.

All nah to t.ush up the design and make the interior more appealing
