The Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress , Mr . Tunde Balogun , on Tuesday night declared Mr . Babajide Sanwo -Olu as the winner of the party ’ s governorship primary .
Balogun declared that Sanwo - Olu polled 970 ,851 votes to defeat incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode with 72 , 901 votes .
Balogun declared the election free and fair , thanking members of the party for coming out to vote .
Earlier in the day , the National Working Committee panel sent from Abuja to oversee the election had declared the primary invalid.
The panel , led by Mr . Clement Ebri, said the primary could not have held because the modality for its conduct was still being ironed out . But Balogun insisted that the poll held and it was valid .
“ It is my pleasure and delight to read the result of the election , conducted all over Lagos State, in all the 245 wards, to the public .
“ The results are as follows : Governor Akinwunmi Ambode recorded 72 ,901 votes; Mr . Babajide Sanwo- Olu had 970 , 851 votes .
“ Mr . Babajide Sanwo -Olu is the winner of today’ s primary election , ” Balogun said .

There's been recent talks and arguments about vote buying ie.....a situation in which eligible voters are paid/given/induced some amount of money or service in other to make them cast their vote/s for a particular political party or candidate/aspirant.

In economics, where there is demand, there will definitely be supply. Politicians who are elected or appointed into positions should try as much as possible to eradicate poverty. Salaries should be paid as at when due and also pensioners should receive the monthly stipends to keep body and soul together.

When all these above are met, vote buying should be a thing of the past. But when these people are owed,a demand usually during election period is created, therefore selling is inevitable which gives rise to vote buying.

Let governments be serious with poverty reduction and eradication, it is a prerogative to curing the sickness known as vote buying.

The Anglican Diocese of Owerri has gotten a New Bishop Elect after a long protracted battle. He is Venerable Chukwuma Opara PhD. Congratulations to him and the diocese at large.
The Metropolitan Council Met Yesterday and he was elected in a free, fair and credible process. Kudos to the Metropolitan Primate and all involved who has once again set the records straight to install peace and tranquility in the diocese, better days ahead.

Hello fellow Nairalanders, atimes one can be caught up with family issues, unstable financial background and proximity related indices, which may require one to try and initiate a transfer of his or her academic studies to a more convenient environment.

With the above reasons given, So my question now is how can one transfer from a University to a College of Education?

So many people are in need of any answers provided and it will go a long way to address issues.

What exciting barber shop do you visit? The ones I know of only have people who come to cut their hair, charge their phones or rub powder/ brush their hair and continue with their lives immediately.
Another set of people I know are those who come to pay their debt from cutting hair on credit a few days or a week before.

It's Saturday and our hairs are bushy, it that favourite day to visit the saloon and have a haircut so as to look nice to attend that social function eg weddings, party, conferences etc

You just take a stroll down the street to see if your favourite barber is free so as to do his normal business and you find out that he's busy and you probably have to wait for your turn before you get attended to, these are the characters you are sure to see in a typical Naija barbing salon down town the street

• Those who are there to mock their friends who were forcefully sent to get their hair cut.
• Those who keep changing the TV station to suit them
• Those who come to rub the powder of the barber and brush or comb their hair.
• Those who come to watch football and and block seats for customers of the barber, on citing customers he asks them to stand.
Those who come to charge phones/gadgets whenever barber's gen/light is on.
Those who come with bad intentions either to steal, cause trouble, quarrel etc

The sports season is here especially football as we usually patronise viewing Centre's, please let's ensure our safety as we go to these venues to watch sports and be safe for our family and friends too.

They say football especially is Sweeter when watching in a viewing centre, this may be right but avoid unnecessary quarrels as a result of arguments that can cause breakdown of public peace, make you no go enter police case.

Avoid side betting ie "going side if any bad mouth dey" as this can lead to fights or disagreement. Avoid being under the influence of alcohol or any other substances as this is hazardous to health and well being of others if done in public domains.
