Your blood shall be used to soak the dogs and the baboons.
PoliticsRe: All Progressive Congress (APC) Nairaland Chapter by nwabobo:
Gbawe: I don't know the political stance of all the ladies you mentioned but I know that Berem has been unwavering in her open support of Buhari and APC here. There has been no fence-sitting or ambivalent quality to her vocal belief that the merging coalition presents a better option for Nigeria. I have noticed that distinctly about her and Edogirl. Ladies are especially welcomed. With the influence of social networking today, Jarus could do something really effective with this. I think he is rather well connected and may actually be able to even host interviews, on behalf of NL, of prominent APC members' policy makers, spokesmen et al. I personally would encourage NL ladies to get involved as much as possible with what Jarus presents.
Oga Gbawe, with all due respect even if you guys bring back Aisha2 (although I know she's here with a different moniker), this project shall go the way of others before it.

APC is dead in arrival. Water and oil don't mix

tsalam: sunny I know the registration of the apc is a bad news for you. look for a better business 2015 because we gonna close down all your fake drug outlet.
Who is sunny?

Meanwhile, do not rejoice over the seeming registeration of Buhari/Tinubu's APC. Remember that there was an original APC that applied for registration before this one. I hope you guys are prepared for the litigations that will follow and remember not to cry when the original APC gets an injunction 2 days to the presidential election restraining the so registered APC from using the acronym. Hope you guys won't start mentioning GEJ as the architect then. A word is enough for the wise.

I cant forget how many people that died in 2011 as a result.
Please, chant something else.
They will neve learn until the blood of their brothers, sisters or other relatives flow as a result of chanting 'Sai Buhari'.

Mods, I made a post on the APC thread saying 'Death to APC' and the post was deleted. I'd like to know why the post was deleted and what grounds was the decision to delete the post based.

Thank you.

azat: that's exactly the problem, we keep pretending, day by day, that someone somewhere will soon make a change, somone instead of ourselves. Both you and Op are the same. Oh..and me too!

There's this thing about us Nigerians.
Don't compare me to the Op. I'm not calling for a revolution cos things are getting better in Nigeria. Op says his future looks gloomy, mine looks brighter than the brightest star.

dasparrow: @Post

How can we read something that tiny?

Anyways, everyone knows that the only reason Nigeria is still in one piece is because of oil. If oil was not discovered in Nigeria, I believe the country would have split up a long time ago.

ndu_chucks: Even 50 years later, people are still in denial of the fact that Ojukwu's eyes were on the oil in the region with the goal of lording over all the minority groups in biafra. Brilliant idea if it had worked. All other tales about what Ojukwu and his peeps were fighting for is just that - tales by the moonlight.

Indeed, ultimately, the war was about the oil.
Funny how Nigerians suffer from selective amnesia. What happened to the pogroms? How about the Aburi accord?

omicron: We have one of the most corrupt leaders and governments in the world yet for decades we stay and complain without DOING anything.

Is the Situation in Nigeria not enough to show the world how discontent we are with our leaders and government, especially the young people whose future continue to look more and more gloomy?
@Op, the Arab spring revolution was started in Tunisia by a young man who doused himself with fuel and set himself on fire. You can do the same.

Why not follow his footsteps and be the trigger for the Nigerian revolution instead of hiding under the cover of a mouse and keyboard to call for revolution?

The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalisation of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West.

Of all the roads rehabilitated by he PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from.

Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North.

The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.

Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself.

Is it not a shame that the state he governed has turned out to be the poorest and most backward in Nigeria filled with millions if almajiri and the current base if Boko haram which is now under a state of emergency. That tells a lot about the man.

PoliticsRe: Eebu O So: Tinubu, Buhari, And Their Supporters By Pius Adesanmi by nwabobo: 10:50pm On Jul 07, 2013
bloggernaija: This is the first time I will personally disagree with Pius
Just like in Egypt where the progressives were busy fighting amongst each other letting the conservative Muslim brotherhood to carry and run away with the torch.
Buhari may not be the best candidate and tinubu is definitely fallible considering the number of goofs he has made of recent.
However , you have to look at the problem as a whole.
Tinubu is not universally liked and worshipped in the southwest. He is merely tolerated as the alternative (PDP) is a living nightmare for the southwest.
Tinubu romance with APC should be viewed as playing offense in order to play defense. Winning ASO ROCK is not the ultimate goal of ACN but being able to dictate policy and holding the line as regard to the interest of the SW .in order words , we do not want to be tied to the apron strings of Abuja regardless of the occupier neither do we want our future to be determined by an outsider
Example:
The southwest is capable of self funding via internally generated revenue from the economic activities going on in the state. The revenues from the ports, agriculture ,VAT,levied, oil and bitumen and potential from tourism is enough.remitance from overseas will take care of the foriegn currency needs
The southwest want to be removed from the apron string of Abuja in terms of power supply and critical infrastructure and internal security.LAGOS,Ibadan and OGUN pay more than 80% of the gas and electricity bills.
The ideal candidate for the president is fashola. However, nigeria as it is presently constituted will not allow the emergence of such a person.
Between buhari and the present occupier who is a confirmed tribalist, buhari get my vote because of his values and not surrounding himself with sycophants/ praise singer
Also his knowledge of the core problem -corruption,lack of accountability and the size of the federal government is in sharp constrast with the present occupier who find it difficult to locate his bedroom.
You can see a desperation from the north who believe their future depends on being able to control the centre , the south south /south east-it is our turn ,the vultures in the southwest PDP conservatives-whose political future and fundamental existence depend on grovelling to anybody in power and the middle belt which blow wherever the wind blows
This alone is enough.
Dude, each time you open your mouth, you vomit nonsense. I have every cause to believe you've never been to anywhere outside the SW all your life.

How old are you if I may ask?

Sweetlemon: You are the one who does not live in Lagos. What part of Akwa-Ibom did you visit? Uyo I guess? Did you visit Oron, Mbo, Okobo, Ikot-Abasi, etchuh
Uyo and some parts of Ikot-Epkene are the only places Akpabio is working on! (However I admit that does not change the fact that he's the best governor Akwa-Ibom ever had) You cannot compare that to Fashola that has touched at least 2/3 of Lagos! Even areas where we once believed were hopeless such as Oshodi and Ajegunle!
Like I said, please go to the Uk or US and ask about Fashola, Akpabio, Obi etc and see who will be most popular.
Can you mention one 6 billion naira project started and completed by Fashola with 100% state government funding. Thanks

As for popularity, even a goat as the governor of Lagos state should be the most popular Nigerian governor.
PoliticsRe: APC, Danger To Nigeria - Ezeife, Ex-Anambra Governor by nwabobo: 5:19pm On Jul 07, 2013
Sweetlemon: Lol! Whenever ACN steps down for a PDP candidate, it's just plain politics! ACN being the kind of party that does not like to loose out in major elections have most likely weighed options and considered fields knowing that the PDP candidate will have a higher chance either by incumbency or support from the power brokers. So don't get too excited!
Are you not contradicting yourself? That a party with high fliers will go to a party of 'scumbags' to pick a presidential candidate tells a lot about what they have to offer.

Just in case you are suffering from selective amnesia, apart from 2003 when they adopted OBJ, their outsourced candidates have always been beaten hands down by PDP candidates.

PoliticsRe: APC, Danger To Nigeria - Ezeife, Ex-Anambra Governor by nwabobo: 1:28pm On Jul 07, 2013
nwabobo: If the people in ACN are better thn those in PDP like you claim, why then do they keep outsourcing their presidential candidates from the PDP?

In 2003 as AD, they adopted PDP's OBJ. In 2007, they went for PDP's Atiku. In 2011, they went for OBJ's boy Ribadu. For 2015, they are already considering PDP's Tambuwal.
Can someone please answer the question above. Until the question above is answered, any insinuation that the ACN is better than the PDP is hogwash and therefore fa fa fa, foul!!!

Who is fooling who?
