donnie:Pastor Chris is years ahead in the spirit. He anticipates the changes and challenges the world system will pose and moves ahead to provide solutions. There is a level you can preach on facebook. Yes, you can stream your services on Facebook but there are limits. Frank Edwards account was blocked because he wanted to give out bibles. We should not depend on secular platforms to preach the gospel. We must develop and build our own platforms. Other xtian bodies can use kingschat for their activities. Why should Pastor Chris prevent his members from hearing what Pastor Adelaja has to say? We hear and compare with our bibles. Now, we are pulling back from some tv stations while establishing our own stations. The TV stations accept xtian broadcasts because they need the money. After collecting the money, they still adopt policies and programmes that mock Christianity. You can not be funding what is against you. Honestly I am surprised at the criticism leveled by Pastor Adelaja. Concerning the stretching of hands and movement of legs by Pastor Chris during the healing of the sick man, that is working of miracles. Elisha did work miracles when he laid himself on a dead boy. 2 Kings 4:8-37. In healing the blind man in John 9:6-7, Jesus made paste from mud, rubbed on the man's eyes and told him to go wash. Pastors who go at lengths to criticize others often end up making unfounded statements. And assumption is very dangerous. Do not assume, get nearer and ask questions. Know when God is speaking to you, when your mind is speaking and when the devil is turning you to accuser of the church. |
donnie:The purpose of kingchat is to provide a secure means of communication for Christians. The same way we have tv stations dedicated to christian broadcasting. Assumption is dangerous. A man should air his opinion on what he is knowledgeable on. |

A vigilance group, Igbogene Vigilance Committee, in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has arrested a father of two for alleged theft of a pot of soup, 12 wraps of fufu and a half basin of garri. The 35-year-old, whose name was given as Kaduna Enatimi, hailed from Akassa community in the Brass LGA. Enatimi was reportedly arrested by members of the vigilance group about 2am on Thursday while consuming some of the stolen wraps of fufu and the soup. The suspected thief was said to have confessed that hunger and economic hardship led him to steal the pot of soup and the other food items. The Head of the Igbogene Vigilance Committee, Chief MoneySweet Asomo, said the suspect was caught “red handed doing justice to the soup and food items stolen from a cafeteria owned by an Akwa Ibom State woman in the area.” Asomo noted that the accused also claimed that he planned to give some of the food to his family members. Asomo said, “We were on patrol at about 2am on Thursday. When we got to the Timida School area, we saw a man at a local food joint eating. “The food kiosk is owned by an Akwa Ibom indigene popularly called Madam Blessing. “We questioned Enatimi and he confessed to have stolen the pot of soup, some wraps of fufu and half basin of garri.” It was, however, learnt that the Paramount Ruler of the area, the Obenibe X1 of Epie Kingdom, King Hope Adike, intervened and asked them to parade him (the suspect) round the community with the stolen items as a deterrent to others. It was also learnt that after parading the suspect round the village, he was released and asked to sin no more. The paramount ruler, it was learnt, was said to have let him go after considering his defence that hunger and hardship made him to steal the items. Enatimi was also made to eat from the stolen items in the presence of the indigenes of Igbogene and made to go away with the items after the shop owner (Blessing) forgave him. The shop owner was said to have stated that she had no money for police case and that it was better for her to let him go than involve the police in the matter. Copyright PUNCH. |

Iceland unearths rock to appease angry elves Reykjavik (AFP) - Iceland has been forced to bow to pressure from elves and uncover a supposedly enchanted elfin rock after highway workers accidentally buried it -- infuriating the mythical creatures, reports said Tuesday. The angry elves were suspected of causing a series of mishaps after the rock was covered over when workers cleared away the debris from a landslide, the Morgunbladid daily reported. Iceland is no stranger to bending to the will of its elfin population. Construction sites have previously been moved so as not to disturb the creatures and fishermen have refused to go to sea because of their warnings: in Iceland, elves are part of every day life. Sveinn Zophoniasson, who works for the Bass road construction company, told the paper that his woes began in August 2015 in Siglufjordur, close to the site of the so-called "elfin lady stone" that was covered with earth following efforts to cleat a mudslide from a highway. After the landslide was cleared, the road was subsequently flooded and a colleague of Zophoniasson who came to clear the route was injured. Then industrial machinery began to fail and a journalist who came to cover the growing chaos fell into a mud pool and had to be pulled to safety. "Nobody even thought of the rock," even though the area is regarded as a sacred place in local folklore, said Zophoniasson. The decision was made that the Iceland Road Administration would unearth the rock -- an artefact according to a 2012 law to protect Iceland's elfin heritage -- and it was subsequently cleaned with a pressure washer last week. Elves are described by the hundreds of people who claim to have seen them as simple, normally peaceful creatures that look like humans -- but smaller. In 1971 elves reportedly disrupted construction of a national highway from Reykjavik to the northeast. The project suffered repeated unusual technical difficulties because, it was claimed, elves did not want the large boulder that served as their home to be moved to make way for the new road. Growth Isn’t A Mystery . Monday, November 9th . Pastor Chris And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). I often tell people that growth isn’t a miracle. Though there could be a miracle in growth, growth in itself isn’t a miracle. Growth is the right application of revealed principles and means. Anybody could actually experience definite growth in anything they do. Wisdom makes you understand the principles of success, and how to apply them appropriately. For instance, it doesn’t matter for how long you pray to add some weight, it may not happen by prayer alone. The reason is that God already revealed the principles and means for growing your body, and if you don’t follow those principles and means, it’ll not happen. It’ll be tantamount to asking Him to violate His Word, and He doesn’t do that. If you’re going to grow financially, spiritually, or in any other area of your life, it shouldn’t take a miracle. If you’d apply the revealed principles and means, they’ll work every time! It’s like electrical laws; they work every time, irrespective of who’s applying them. So, the principles of growth will work for both Christians and non-Christians alike. This is the reason you can find non-Christians who seem to be successful. Remember, the Bible says God makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45). So, there’d be growth for anyone who discovers and applies those revealed principles and means. But don’t forget, there’s what the Bible calls “good success” (Joshua 1: . That’s what makes the Christian distinctly different. As you give yourself to the study of the Word, and walk with the Holy Spirit, you’d realize that God brought you into this world to dominate it, and be in charge. Apply God’s definite plan for winning; and be diligent with it. PRAYER Dear heavenly Father, you’ve chosen me and ordained me to be productive in all aspects of my life! My mind is anointed for growth and supernatural success! I know what to do; I know when to do what to do; and I know how to do what to do, through the guidance and light that I receive from the Holy Spirit and your Word. I’m making progress and winning every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Increasing Glory . Friday, November 6th . Pastor Chris But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18). Did you know that as a child of God, His glory is in your life? The glory of God is in you, and that glory is continually on the increase as you meditate on, and live, the Word. Every time you go to Church, or attend your group meetings, and listen to the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, the glory on your life increases. As you leave the meeting, you leave with a greater glory than you came with. The same happens when you study and meditate on the Word in your privacy; the glory on you increases. Of course, you can’t see that glory with your optical eyes, but it’s in you nonetheless. In the realm of the Spirit, if God were to open your eyes to see the glory, you’d be amazed at how glorious you really are. I’m not talking about when we get to heaven; I’m talking about NOW. The glory that exudes from us is so strong and powerful; but it’s not the same for everybody. Some Christians have more glory than others; it’s about how much of the Word of God is working in your spirit! It’s about yielding to and living the Word. Once, I was praying and I saw this indescribable glory in the realm of the Spirit. The more I prayed and spoke the Word, the more my spirit glowed. Then, the Lord said to me, “You look glorious all the time; you’re a light all the time.” You see, this is what the Word does in our lives: as we behold the Word, we are changed. The more we contemplate the glory of God in His Word, the more glorious we become. Even now, your glory has increased, because of the Word of God that you’ve received today through this devotional. Take this new level of glory to your job, business, academics, and your environment; influence your world with it. When next you go to Church, know that one of the plans of the Holy Spirit for that day is to make you even more glorious. Add to the glory of your life every day by studying and meditating on the Word. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your glory that’s in my life! Your Word is my daily delight, and as I behold the glory, I’m metamorphosed into the same image that I see, from glory to glory! With that glory, I triumph over sickness, diseases, poverty, and reign victoriously, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: || Exodus 24:15-18 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. 16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. || || 2 Corinthians 3:7-11 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. || Daily Scripture Reading 1-Year Bible Reading Plan: Hebrews 5:11-6:1-20, Jeremiah 48-49 2-Year Bible Reading Plan: John 10:11-21, 1 Chronicles 6 EXTRACT FROM: Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional |

A Message Of Faith . Friday, August 14th . Pastor Chris And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV). Faith, hope, and love are three vital forces or elements that attracted people to the message of Jesus when He walked the earth. However, our focus in today's study will be on the first one listed: faith. When Jesus ministered, faith came alive in the hearts of His hearers. He let them know who God is, His eternal will, and what He's already done for them. He said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7:7). Neither the Pharisees nor the Sadducees ever taught the people this way! The people were enthralled by His message, because it unveiled the will of the Father to them and inspired faith in their hearts. No wonder the multitude thronged Him, and the common people heard Him gladly (Mark 12:37). They had thought that God only blessed whoever He chose. They had assumed that God wasn't concerned about them. But Jesus debunked their erroneous beliefs about God, teaching that God loves everyone unconditionally. As they watched Him cast out devils, open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears, and even raise the dead with an unusual demonstration of authority, many were convinced and had faith in the Father's love for them. The Bible says many believed in His Name, when they saw the miracles that He did (John 2:23). They could believe and relate to a God that they couldn't see physically, because Jesus made the Father real to them through His message. That's the same message He sent us to preach and teach around the world. He said in John 20:21, "...as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." If today, you're faced with a situation that seems to have defied solution, you can trust God for a miracle. He's the God who "quickens" the dead; meaning that He gives life to the dead. It makes no difference if it's a dead womb, a dead body, a dead business, or a dead bank account! You can have a miracle even now! Believe and you'll receive. PRAYER Dear Lord, you're the creator of heaven and earth; there's nothing too difficult for you! I trust in you with all of my heart, knowing that you're the One who gives beauty for ashes, makes crooked paths straight, and makes everything work out for my good! Thank you for giving me such a wonderful life of endless victories, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Further Study: || Hebrews 11:1 AMP Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. || || 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. || Daily Scripture Reading 1-Year Bible Reading Plan: Romans 15:14-33, Psalms 99-101 2-Year Bible Reading Plan: Luke 16:1-12, Ruth 1-2 |
