Goinhard:Jet fuel is more refined than normal kerosene. I remember one airport security official, my neighbor in Calabar then, used to bring jet fuel in plastic kegs. They usually siphon from the tanks at the airport and sell. Jet fuel burns with a pure blue flame. I think they added some chemicals for blending. Some unscrupulous marketers pass on normal kerosene as jet A1 fuel. There were some allegations in Nigeria some years back that some marketers were supplying cooking kerosene to airlines instead of Jet A1.

WizardOfNG:This report is thrash. Even officials of Lagos State Govt admitted the facts during a meeting with Business Editors at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja. I was present. |
Menclothing1:. Visit Ethiopia first. Construction of Lagos -Badagry Road project now, Lagos -Okoko road/rail project started ahead of Addis Ababa own. Ethiopia finished their own which is integrated heavy rail and road. Lagos is still struggling. The cost of the Lagos own is something else |
UkoAnnang:You wrote well but allowed tribal bigotry to cloud your mind. The topic is on double bride price. Why drag your Eastern neighbors inside. There are Annang women who are cohabiting as i am typing. |
In the early 90s, the same happened in my village. A family yam barn was razed by fire. Other farmers came, collected some of the tubers affected by the fire and replaced them with fresh ones. They went home to cook the fire impacted ones. Through this means, the man recovered from the fire incident. |

The crashes claimed ten lives and left ten others hospitalized. The first incident, a multiple-vehicle crash, happened at about 9 a.m. on the Enugu inward-bound lane. A Howo truck, inscribed Visco Investment Global and laden with bags of white cement, was en route Abuja from Aba, Abia State, when it collided with a Toyota Corolla car that was attempting to overtake another truck on the same route. A Foton bus and a Daihatsu Hijet mini bus, both driving one-way, were also caught in the collision. Sadly, the truck head and the Toyota Corolla car went up in flames, with five occupants of the car burning to death. A passenger in the mini bus was equally confirmed dead by the attending medical doctor. Similarly, at about 3 p.m. on the same road, another fatal crash occurred. This time, it involved a Sino truck belonging to Global Investment and a tricycle. The truck, laden with cement and driving one-way from Garriki Enugu to Nenwe in Aninri LGA, on the same Enugu inward-bound lane, rammed into the tricycle, leading to the death of its four occupants. They were rushed to the hospital but later confirmed dead. Ten other persons, injured in the separate crashes, are currently receiving medical attention. The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, while mourning the tragic loss of lives and commiserating with the families of the deceased, has directed the State Motor Traffic Department to carry out a diligent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accidents. The CP describes the crashes as avoidable and strongly cautioned drivers to exercise utmost care, especially during these Ember Months, when road traffic usually increases and accidents are more frequent. He reminded motorists that no journey is worth the loss of lives, urging them to shun recklessness, obey traffic rules, and prioritize safety over speed to prevent further tragedies. Faber:Dominic Cardinal Ekandem was Bishop of Ikot Ekpene and Nigeria's first Cardinal. He was later made Bishop of Abuja with a personal title of ArchBishop. Then we had the likes of Arinze and Okogie as ArchBishops while Ekandem was at Ikot Ekpene. |

jeromestarks:Not seen each other in over 25 years. I am friends with her relatives. We didn't quarrel or fight. Haba, even the husband calls me, though we have not seen. Not chasing after her one bit. |
She told me "You be better person". I called her and the husband picked. Told him to inform her that i called. She and the husband are from the same town while I am from a neighbouring town. The first day the husband picked the phone, i greeted him and asked after the family. Told her to inform that her brother called. He said she told him about me, how i am a good man. .We have not seen for about 25 to 28 years. But speak on phone. Visited her brother and dad during my recent trip. |

Contrary to some reports that the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) could take over the Dangote Refinery over debts owed by the Dangote Group to banks, the corporation have denied such claims, saying it have no business with the group. Some online news platforms had on Tuesday reported that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, could forfeit the Dangote Refinery over a $7 billion debt burden owed to commercial banks in the country with a possible takeover by AMCON. AMCON, however, denied such plans. It said neither Dangote Refinery or the Dangote Group are on its debtors’ list, hence it couldn’t have plan to take over the assets. Head of Corporate Communications at AMCON, Jude Nwauzor, told LEADERSHIP that since the Dangote Group is not on its debtors list, the rumour that it was planning to take over the assets of Dangote Refineries is false. Multiple sources in the Dangote Group also said the report was “false and malicious”, as the group has the capacity to service and pay its debt. AMCON had in 2010 purchased 12,743 bad loans worth N3.8 trillion from 22 Eligible Financial Institutions (EFIs) for a purchase price of N1.8 trillion. According to AMCON, Dangote Refineries was not part of the bad debts that it took over and there was no way it would be taking over the assets of the company now. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) had recently approved the acquisition of 20 per cent minority stake by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the Dangote Petroleum and Petrochemical Refinery. LEADERSHIP reports that Dangote Oil Refinery is a 650,000-barrel per day (BPD) integrated refinery project under construction in the Lekki Free Zone of Lagos. |

Yes. During Youth Service, i attended Church of God Mission, Keffi. I was not paying attention during Sunday School. The pastor later pointed at me and asked that i recite the memory verse |
And those who didn't take it will live on earth for ever. |
Charleys:I work closely with CACOVID and can tell you about the vaccines. CACOVID is the private sector led Coalition Against Covid. If the WHO and other global bodies ask you to keep and not destroy expired vaccines, keep and wait for further instructions. Some of the vaccines brought to Nigeria expired sometime in April, hence they stopped vaccination and waiting for a fresh batch. Note: Disposal of medical waste is not the same as disposal of other types of waster. Note: These pastors are not scientists. (I respect them for their impact of their ministries on my life.) They are repeating what they read some where. Their statements on these issues are fallible. |
petra1:Please mention some of the experts and verification of their backgrounds. Look at their history and antecedents before placing value on their views. I have watched many of these videos and known many of these so called theories before now. My daily duty or routine involves information disinformation, misinformation, propaganda and public relations. So i understand the history behind these videos and statements. As Christians, our focus should be on the bible and not assumptions and statements made by human beings. All these "They said, they said'' , who are the they? |
petra1:If they are hiding the fact, how did you get to know? Through espionage, eavesdropping or tapping of communication devices? Several countries publish data on allergic reactions to the vaccine. There are systems in place to monitor reactions even death as to ensure improvements in subsequent vaccines. We keep making improvements in all aspects of living. Note: Do you have a laboratory where you have tested the vaccines and found them wanting? If you have not conducted an experiment or test on the vaccines as well as COVID-19, you are just quoting the opinion of others which are subject to flaws and not the same as scriptures. |
Thought the driver and his friend are sons of generals or top military officials. They go use them shine |
I took it. Many of us from our office went to IDH Yaba for the vaccine. Many blue chip firms sent their staff including NDIC, BUA, Flour Mills. Didn't feel a thing. Came back to office. Only felt sleepy for two days. |
apatheticme:The Govt made adoption of babies in Nigeria to be a herculean task, costing arm and leg and a whole lot of legal work. But if the law id made easier, she would have gone to a motherless babies home and handed over the baby, sign some documents and move on. |
Border Closure: Bloomberg report on sole export exemption Misleading Contrary to reports by Bloomberg that Dangote Cement was granted sole approval to export cement through the land borders, information has emerged that other companies also got approval to export through the land borders. Nigerian Customs Service has reportedly revealed that BUA Group and a gas company have also received presidential approval to move goods across the land borders. Joseph Attah, the spokesperson for Nigerian Customs Service, was said to have clarified on phone from Lagos. (source) |
