Stages in Canadian PR journey

These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants in EE will see against Background check in My CIC.

IP1
--------
IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office)

NA
---------
This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.

IP2
--------
This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office.

It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status

CHC Canadian High Commission – refers to the Canadian embassies, Visa offices, and Consulates.
CIC Citizenship and Immigration, Canada – the umbrella body which governs both CIO and local CHC offices
CIO Centralized Intake Office in Sydney Nova Scotia – where you sent your application. Sometimes it is mentioned as CIU (Centralized Intake Unit).
DD Demand Draft (Bank Draft / Certified Cheque / Money Order)
ECA Educational Credential Assessment
ECAS Client Application Status, an official CIC service which allows to view the status of your application on-line

So if one applies with the exact POF in your account and you print your statement before you pay processing fees (which is most likely the case), will the application still fly, or when they review account, do they account for processing fees and RPRF with ones application? Of course i know one should have it all POF, Processing fees, and RPRF cos im just calculating and calculating

Pls house, I have two accounts for Manitoba, with different username n password. Mistakenly I forgot to delete the account for the wrong details. But this morning I received ITA mail for both accounts. Pls am confused as I don't know what else to do.
(1) Can I delete account for the one of wrong detail and if yes, how do I do that.

Attached are the snapshot of the invites with different username, kemola and kemola2 beneath each of them.

I would like to start this week by dropping my timeline and state that I'm grateful for God's mercies. My application was processed in less than 40 days...never hespered it!

Passport submitted: July 9

(Was a little short on cash and met a lady who without any fuss, gave me the required cash in exchange for a funds transfer. If you are on this forum, i really appreciate you and you confirmed to me that we have good people in this country)

NOC: Thank you @newmum for helping me see that i had chosen the wrong NOC even though i was post-ITA so that i could change it to the closer match before submitting. Getting my reference letter wanted to be a real war but God intervened and somehow i got it through an unexpected twist of events.

No an expired passport is invalid and you will not be allowed to sit the test. I did passport for my son in May in Oshogbo and got it the next day. So you might consider other centres apart from Lagos.

Hello house, I am kind of confused on the sponsorship for MPNP. Someone told me that it is better someone living outside Winnipeg files for me that it is more recognized. I have never heard that b4. Please, anyone knowledgeable about this should throw more light.

I intend to live in Winnipeg and my score is 572 with Winnipeg. Waiting for my WES for my EE profile so that I can come under sub-stream.

I hope if someone living in Winnipeg files for me will not reduce my chance? Please, I need a honest answer. Thanks

while there is another thread on PNP let me justsay having a family outside Winnipeg gives u 50 extra marks but 572 is a very good mark. I an sure you will be given LAA soon. I got nominated with 565 and my family was in Winnipeg so it does not reduce your chances since you have already clinched a high mark already. That being said start getting your docs ready.

I can confirm this. Although I didn't read the long post. I am replying directly to your question. My friends mum was turned back at the POE in USA after they took her phone and went through her chats. They found talk about how she ll be doing nanny job and co. They deported her and placed her on 5 yr ban.

WHATSAPP MESSAGES, VIDEOS AND PICTURES.

I am a lawyer licensed to practice law in Canada and I handle a lot of immigration cases.

I came across a case this last Sunday (July 1, 2018 - Canada Day), which I thought is necessary to be shared amongst close ones without disclosing confidential information.

This client travelled from Africa into Canada and was interviewed at the point of entry into Canada. During the course of the interview, he was asked to hand over his phone to the Canada Border Services Agency officer. Upon reviewing the videos stored on his phone. The officer saw a video of a man raping a child and detained him for possessing child pornography.

He was determined to be ineligible to enter into Canada on grounds of criminality and was refused entry into Canada as he was determined to be a risk to public safety. He has now been charged to Court for being in possession of child pornography.

My client alleges that it was a widely spread WhatsApp video in Africa (I am sure some of you would have seen the same video) and that it automatically downloaded into his phone without his knowledge. He will definitely have his day in Court to prove his innocence, but we do not have to wait to allow such things happen.

What’s the moral of this story? This is the era of social media and the distribution of all sort of messages/videos/pictures. Check your phone on a daily basis and ensure that you delete all unsolicited pictures, messages and videos. Block anyone who has a penchant for distributing unwarranted pictures, messages and videos - you may not only be saving yourself from unforeseen embarrassment and/or criminal charges, you don’t want your kids to stumble into such messages, videos and pictures.

Finally, a whole lot is indulged in Africa (not meaning to be demeaning). It is a different ball game out of Africa. So for EVERYONE travelling, do a thorough search of the content of your phone before you embark on each trip - just to be sure you are CLEAN. What happened to my client could have happened to anyone, just because he didn’t pay any attention to the videos/messages he received on WhatsApp.

This is not a joke, it is a true story.to

In summary, preparation is key. God cannot bless what you haven't put effort into. Read, read and then research some more. No one can package your application better than yourself. Do NOT cut corners! It will come back to bite. Do all you can and leave the rest to God. I'll give some more info if anyone asks and when I remember

I have another question which i did not find in page 0. The police character certificate comes in with a page where thumbs are printed on and a page where a passport is affixed. Should one upload only the coloured character certificate or include the other two pages.
