amdman:
Your statement reflects the ignorance of traffic regulations by Nigerian drivers. Am sure, without meaning any insult, that you are one of the self-taught drivers.

It is not and cannot be true that there are no traffic regulations in Nigeria. There are regulations for speed limit, drunk driving, safe driving and the like, but ignorant people choose to ignore them! Nigeria is one of the few countries where I have heard of campaigns about 'ember months driving'. This is because there is a certain madness that comes upon people at these times to drive very dangerously. There is a limit to what the road safety guys can do. Nigerians must choose to do the right thing.
By regulations i did not mean no traffic regulations bruv, i mean the means to check mate them by regulating the activities of drivers. No offence taken atall, you didnt get me in the first place. In UK with all the good roads, 70kph is the speed limit, so while will drivers in Nigeria be moving at 140kph when the roads are bad? Is there anyone to regulate that? NO! all you get is a bunch of mopol stalked in different feet ahead waiting to get out of that day as much as they can.

Music/RadioRe: MC Loph Is Dead (The Man Behind The 'Osondi Owenu' Remake) by o2dlomez(m): 10:28am On Sep 15, 2011
In as much as the roads are bad, we still have a duty to watch the way we drive. in a country that have no regulations on speed limit, drink driving and such, commons sense should detect our activities. May his soul rest in peace. So sad seeing how roads are claiming lives in Nigeria daily sad sad huh
PhonesRe: What Blackberry Phone Has The Longest Battery-life? by o2dlomez(m): 10:24am On Sep 15, 2011
Truth be told, this phones were made to adapt in developed countries where there is constant electricity, not where you are not sure of charging the phones. people complain dont even left the phone charge complete, while the phone is still on "i better pass my neighbor" (generator), you still see them pinging. i will always say it, in Nigeria if you wan to buy a blackberry, also buy a generator too that day or what is the point of buy such phone that cost you more than a generator to now be walking with your charger everyday. the craze is just much, in wedding you see either the wife or the husband attending to a blackberry phone or a group pic, 3 are on it. while i know its a means of communicating and keeping up to dates on your email, tell me how an undergraduate will benefit from it, u see a girl with 450 friends on blackberry, how will she read or concentrate in class, since the message is ASAP. well everyone know whats best for him or her, so if you feel the battery aint long for you buy a GENERATOR or better still look for a phone that lasts for you in a country where power supply is depleted. One love people.

llbhuds:
I could remember the night i was leaving MM airport filled with hopes, determinations and agitation for a brighter future outside the shores of africa and the willingness to come back to Nigeria as a bigger hero. though, i left naija as a student and i could remember vividly the question the British passenger beside me asked after telling him the reason behind my going to the UK was. he asked '' are there no universities where you can study this course in Nigeria ?, cos if you are not aware of them, i can give you 5 names now.
can i say that 95% of naija traveling abroad is for economic reasons?
i want real honest and candid answers to my question irrespective of the reasons , WHY DO WE (NIGERIANS) HAVE A HIGH DESIRE TO TRAVEL ABROAD ?
where are you the poster typing from, if you are abroad and asking this question, then you should go back to naija and ask the question from there, are you a student and are you not through?

EuroMeko:
grin

You're a genius.

Ultimately and this is my opinion, I could be wrong but I think poster got dumped by a Nigerian Guy for an Asia Girl and she got her panties in a wad.

Poster also needs to grow up, any race can date any race, there are Nigerian Men and Women with all sorts of other Nationalities.

She hinted that I am surrounded by people married to Asians, no luv, I liv ein Los Angeles and we are a diverse lot here, we date whomever we want.
Euromeko you can imagine the type of things men see for not dating them,  cheesy, So annoying to see dis type of post, just because you and your friend have experience you come here to type a fill history note for us to read

RomanceRe: .. by o2dlomez(m): 3:24pm On Aug 20, 2011
For me even if Nigerian Guys treat the ladies such, we are not worst of the rest. A Nigerian girl sees you with a white girl and start pissing herself off, you try to date them, they come up with all their silly " lets give it time attitude" then poster comes to nairaland to report herself because ONE only ONE Asian girl told you her story> Why don't you carry out a survey or write a dissertation on it so we can look at it and then have a say. undecided
RomanceRe: Why Do Women Prefer Uk/US Based Guys To Nigeria/africa Based Guys? by o2dlomez(m): 5:43pm On Aug 17, 2011
Most of the people yabbing here, if the give them paper to only visit the will rush it. the mentality of one doing a menial job in the UK is sounding awkward just because is not a better pay in Nigeria right? in UK its different, in as much as i love my country Naija at any time, you guys should know that the end things is to live successfully and be happy. If women prefer UK or US based, what of us that prefer Naija based babes grin
