the internal struggle with jealousy I mentioned is, not the "ego", but the "ego playing up". It's not the same thing.

The fact that you get hurt in other ways does not mean that jealousy isn't hurt. You do get hurt when cheated on? Good, that's what I needed to establish.

Malaria is an illness from mosquito bite. But there are other illnesses that come from bad food or water or infection of open wounds. You cannot call all these malaria just because they are illnesses too, but does it make malaria less of an illness? Get it yet?
