Okay then, atleast we agree it's inappropriate. The message I was trying to pass across is that when a random person compliment a lady as sexy they're inadvertently reducing them to a sexual object. Such compliment should only come from her man or close acquaintance. A serious woman is likely to consider it a cheap smarm with ulterior motives from the admirer.

Lala, I think you should know me enough on this forum that criticising ones way of life and their choices has never been my rule of engagement here. I address issues and topics not personality.

Of course a man can call women sexy but my point is I find it disturbing when a woman takes it as a compliment. Sexy in what way?. What does the term sexy means?. Is she attesting that she's sexually appealing and thereof admitting she's an (sexual) object to who exactly?. Such compliment should be entertained only from her man and not anyone else. Simple.

yeah... She should entertain it only from her man. However I disagree that being sexually appealing translates to being a sex object. That's too big a leap even by kangaroo standards.

The only real ish with accepting such compliments is that it could easily be a stepping stone to unwanted stuff.

Now that was a ha-ha moment right there. At a point i was apprehensive then i remembered that this was just something fun i signed up for. I expected alot and most of what i expected, i experienced. One of which is the love, kindness and loyalty of some amiable nairalanders. I am aipete2. I remain unfazed and i remain confident in my skin, belief and ideology. I saw snickers, snide, remarks, outright insults during this contest but guess what? Stand firm, i remained. Everyone with their own opinions and each should be respected.
