alj harem: She is Nchara etc, she is still on NLShe is not Nchara. Aloy Emeka is a Yoruba lady. I know her name and earlier monikers. |
strangerf: With all due respect Beaf, I dont think you understand Sanusi's point. That said, you are right, we need to diversify, but Sanusi's point is that we are spending too much and we cant continue to live like this for too long if the govt continues to spend the way they do. The problem here is that Sanusi is attacking the wrong people.Am amazed! When did fstanger/strangerf start writing like a gentleman? Or did someone hack into your computer? Keep it up bro! |
If SON is functioning, will this problem have happened in the first instance ? SON ought to ensure highest standard of maufacturing companies not to complain afterwards to them. They should be proactive ! Thank you for acknowledging that I can send a petition to the house of reps as a citizen of Nigeria !
Then they should invite SON if SON is failing and not Hyundai. Why are you supporting this? How many people complained over the same product? Is this not obvious to you that someone is only abusing his office to settle a personal matter? And for all its worth, is this the most pressing matter to sit over at this time? |
Can somebody advice me on how to get the house sit over the dispute between me and my girlfriend. |
hmnnnnn |
If the process is not transparent what signal is America and Europe which claims to champion merit based appointments in a democratic systems? What morals will the US and the rest of advanced democracy have against those they call despots in other parts of the world?hmnnnn! questions? |
hmnnnn interesting! 2015 Politics will be very very interesting! May God keep me alive till then and beyond. Amen. |
Nigerian deliverance will come when people start voting for the best candidate that can deliver and not for their closest kinsmen. If only Nigerian can think and learn from the past, they will realize that all this 'turn by turn Nig ltd' politics will not take us anywhere. The North has ruled the country for more than 30 years out of our 51 years of independence, yet the North remains the poorest region. Obasanjo has ruled for more than 10yrs as a military man and civilian, what does SW has to show for it or the people of Ogun State? That said, there are good men from SE, I can support and vote for. I will pick Chime over Akala, Gbenga Daniel, Oyinlola any day any time, but my support will always be for the best man irrespective of its ethnics affiliation. |
Unbelievable! So it has really gone this bad |
Jonathan’ll hand over to Igbo –Ezeife As power brokers across the country make subtle moves ahead of the 2015 presidential election, former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has said President Goodluck Jonathan would hand over to a candidate from the South East zone. This conclusion came even as he dismissed the clamour to recapture power by the North, saying that the ethnic bloc should forget their ambition for now until the South East enjoys its share of the nation’s presidential power equation. He revealed that though the South East at no point reached an agreement with Jonathan on the succession issue, but the understanding between the President and Ndigbo is that one of their own should succeed him. Speaking with Sunday Sun on phone, he said people of the zone had always made it clear to Jonathan that a candidate from the zone would succeed him when he leaves office. According to him, the understanding is that by the time Jonathan had exhausted his mandate, he would support the idea of an Igbo man becoming the next president of Nigeria. “At every opportunity with Jonathan, Ndigbo have made it clear that anyt ime he completes his constitutionally guaranteed tenure, it would now be the turn of the South East,” he said. He, however, noted that the South East was not in a hurry to see Jonathan out of power, but would continue to support him until he completes his tenure.“I repeat what I said before, that the Igbo would succeed President Jonathan whenever he leaves office, but we are not in a hurry to hound him out of office. “We have given Jonathan our total support, but we have always made it clear that after his tenure, it would now be the turn of the South East,” he said. The former governor also noted that the president has the constitutional right to run for a second term and recalled that some of his predecessors enjoyed similar opportunities in office. He said apart from the South East, all other geo-political zones have ruled Nigeria, lamenting that the short tenure of Gen Aguiyi Ironsi was mired in violence. “The North should forget the presidency until the South East zone has enjoyed its turn. Out of the over 50 years of Nigeria’s independence, the North ruled for about 38 years. “The North knows that they should reorganize themselves.” http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2012/apr/15/national-15-04-2012-001.html |
PointB: certainly SW will not make mistake voting a man who frustrated Lagos metroline, nor will middlebelt forget the man who enthroned boko haram by his loud silence and other tacit support! We shall meet the old bigot at the poll nonetheless! So you will rather blame a man who has no control over a police post for keeping quiet but free the man that commands the entire security forces over Boko Haram? Strange! OR are you saying his silence is more powerful than the noise, scream and threat of a Commander in chief of Nigerian Armed forces? hmnnn...may be you are right ![]() |
Yeah, where is she? I miss her. ![]() |
Oh this thread! ![]() |
Like someone said, the whole process is more political than on merit. Obama will also not want to concede an America long held position, certainly not in an election. Too bad, it's not looking good for NOI. I will be surprised if she wins. |
slyopez: This sounds more political than merit, i know most developed and some developing nations will support Mr Jim cos of American influence, all the same my support goes to NOI.True! |
Brixtonyute: You guys need to stop all these SW, SE, SS, NN, NC, NB, NW, NE, NA, BB etc. stupidity - we need the best hands to rule Nigeria. The West is weak now, this is our chance to elect a STRONG - to turn our destiny around. I don't care if he's from the moon, if he's Nigerian and can do the job to our satisfaction - we all need to rally around the best choice.Nigeria and indeed many parts of the world have always been voting on sentiments such as ethnicity and I don't see that changing anytime soon, even though I also desire what you wrote. |
jason123: I didn't say its a guarantee, but the alignment can present a scenario that will alter the whole equation which might just work in favour of SE. I don't know any other zone that is so passionate of producing the presidency as the SE. If the alignment produces a SE candidate you ca bet there will be 99.999% return from SE and Ndigbos nationwide. In fact expect many Ndigbos to travel home and vote. |
I shared the same sentiments on one of the threads discussing the worst case scenario should Southeast lose out in 2015. https://www.nairaland.com/907605/worst-case-scenario-southeast-loses#10537388 Ndigbos must prevail on Jonathan to honor his agreement with them else, they might not smell presidency till 2027, but then a year is too long in politics, anything can happen that will affect the whole calculation, like a party stronger than PDP springing up, or an alligment of ACN, APGA and CPC... who knows? |
Good one! |
I think Seun and Mukina2 should change their profile pictures to this. This one na masterpiece! ![]() |
Yeeepa! Odumchi you don finish Seun, Mukina Jarus and me... in fact u are banned from NL till 2020 for this crime ![]() This is quite hilarious. I fear Mrs Chima own o. Chei, I don die! OMG! ![]() |
I have my doubts about this story, more so the source is not a well known credible source. Even if truly he is interested, I doubt he will announce his intention to run at this time. |
lol ![]() Interesting! You've got talent. Please, I want to see Seun and Mukina2 |
PointB: Indeed! And it very disingenuous of Jarus and OAM4j, the have broken faith with us, and have shown their true character. I am very disappointed with them - both of them. Why did you have to mention me and Jarus, forcing me to make a post here at this time? Jarus and I have not posted here to endorse the activities on the thread, at least we always do that after watching the process and found it to be credible and in the good interest of the people concerned. You should have waited for us to post and endorse this like we did in the last one before condemning us. I have also said times without number that we moderators don't post topics on home page, only Admin and Super-Mod do, also putting a thread on home does not mean the activities on the thread have been endorsed or supported by NL. Rather it is for awareness. So all concerned will be aware and jointly support or condemn the thread. If there are Ndigbo sons and daughters who have any reason or reasons why there should be another election before December let them state their case and let Ndigbos roundly agree or disagree. As a moderator, I have not received any official briefing that Onlytruth has been dethroned. Until we moderators are convinced that that this new call for election is just, credible and in the interest of the Ndigbos, Onlytruth remains Eze Ndigbo of NL. I hope this clears the confusion in the air. Thank you. - Moderator |
Even online? ![]() na real wa o!! What does OAM4J smell like? I cant place he/she in a category?
Do you mean he has a scent for males too? I think not ![]() Rhino abeg tell me how ileke smells like? I need to know before I accept her groom-price and start investing on her ![]() |
I have never understood the concept of having anonymous voting on NL as a whole for something like this. Either have it on a Yoruba website, or make it PUBLIC voting. There in my opinion is nothing necessarily wrong with the concept...just the execution was quite poor.
My thought exactly. Since there is no way to screen voters, the election cannot achieve its objective. |
The OP is he not she!
What made you think so? Too bold and daring to be a she? or did you attempt to check under her skirt?....joking ![]() |
