Clearly deserving. Congrats RVP! |
1st set of casualties. Hope this is not a scape goat approach with the aim of sweeping the whole thing under carpet. I expect a lot more sackings and prosecutions. |

@Odumchi, Thank you my guy, with a friend like you, I know i don't have to watch my back. @ifyalways, Nigeria movies dey always get part 2, then part 3 and part 4. The next part is where pres-elect starts to misbehave too, and in part 3 other suitors came to disturb u, and part 4 is where I came to rescue you and you realized how much u love me while teaching me Igbo language. Then we got married had children and lived happily ever after. and the movie ended. lol |
Whao! unbelievable. |
Ko si igba ti maku o ni ku, Sooner or letter they have to let everyone including the enemies know what is going on. Am not impress with their speed at all. And to be honest am not also seeing enough signals that they are even laying a good foundation for a progressive future apart from Osun's plan to invest heavily in agriculture. The other day I read that Ekiti is planning to raise over N20B bond to build a liaison office and other not so important things IMO. What is Oyo doing? What is Ogun doing apart from talking about OGD? These are my concerns. The expectations are high, and they are better not let the people down. A lot of the people that voted for them voted with the mindset of "let's see what they can do". They will be making a serious mistake if they think SW is fully ACN stronghold like it was under Awolowo UPN, and thinking they have all the time and they can do whatever they like. |
^It will still be illegal if the content of the bill is inaccurate/doctored in any way and if these companies bribed or manipulated the agency/process to get the money out. Anyways, that is why they have to be prosecuted in the law court and the court will decide if they did any wrong or not. Until then all we have is an allegation. |
Good one! |
While I disagree that the 'secret' plan has any hidden agenda to Islamize SW because I know they are not that dumb to think that will fly even with the uneducated among S.westerners, I agree we need to know whatever is in the agenda/plan. The what, the when, the how the plans will materialize. Only then we can hold then accountable, understand their challenges if any and consider them a failure or success. One of my grouse with the Federal are their promises without action plans that never see the light of the day, and I will hate to see that in SW. If their agenda/plan is watertight, they need not be afraid of public criticisms, that should only strengthen their will to succeed if they know what they are doing. |
Unfortunately I doubt anything concrete will come out of the probe. At best, some people will be questioned, some committees set up, story ends and new set of more careful looters will emerge. I weep for Nigeria. |
And who cares what NLC has to say? The masses they let down or the government they supported? |
If they want to make it a secret, why are they announcing the state? |
Ironically, Bauchi is one of the most developed state in nigeria. Go figure! 24/7 water supply(even state like rivers can't boast of any pipe network), working state owned hospitals(one of the best in the country), good schools(model schools is one best in the country), the best road network nationwide(with exception of abuja). . And so on.
Past administrations might have done pretty well. But this |
Thanks |
Only 10? or the author is only referring to the ones caught by EFCC? He has not even listed the big ones besides IBB. |
Beaf: Yes, that is how all states borrow funds (including Lagos and the oil producing states). The FG indirectly provides security for them. That's right! And that is why there will be more Almajiris from that zone. Their government have not only looted their past and present, they have also pocketed their future. With no viable investment for the future, only a disaster await the state. |
Eko o ni baje. |
With a budget and a government that think like this, the state will only become poorer. |
I see you wrote Chelsea there, if you think am a chelsea fan, you've missed it. Try again. When my friend Odumchi or Ify finished helping me with the translation, I will reply the rest of your post. ![]() |
Thank you Odumchi and Ifyalways. I think you will agree with me I need a beautiful Igbo lady for quick understanding of this beautiful language. Any recommendation? Or should I just settle the quarrel among many suitors fighting over ify and take her over ![]() @toshman So na because of your old giant loserpool you dey beef me? If you no beg me now, I will make your sontin to dey walk alone. ![]() |
Private matter? Somebody pleaded guilty and was convicted for stealing the state fund and the state stolen from claims its a private matter. Unbelievable! May God save Delta state. Beaf please pray and do something for your state. |
PBundles: You have a right to your opinion and I respect that. I also dont mind discussing topics if we can keep it from insults since I think the object is at the end of the day to exchange ideas and hopefully go away with something learned. It may be at the end of the day, we may agree to disagree. What I dont like is when people try and claim they have knowledge on a subject they dont and then when its made obvious resort to insults and belittling.IMO, you have just argued in favour of what any smart government facing ocean surge and financial problem should do. You don't expect Lagos goverment to leave the problem alone while people die yearly and existing properties/land continuously give way to the ocean on the excuse of lack of fund, do you? But now a right thinking government just used a stone to kill too birds, stop the ocean surge problem while creating investment/revenue opportunity. You should appreciate Lagos government not condemn it. What makes you think the project will not benefit the masses in the long run? Agreed such city is not for the masses or low class people, but there will still be jobs for them there and in the long run the tax revenue generated from the rich living and working there can be used to provide more infrastructure and social amenities for the masses. |
